Not good at getting back to customer via email. Need some organizational skill.

Alan and Russ are true, honest professionals. They were very flexible working with me and my 10yo BMW X3, to the point of uninstalling a part for me because the part ended up costing much more than either of anticipated (and I could get by without it, and without jeopardizing the safety of the car). Prior to starting the work, Russ reviewed it with me via phone and email. He also let me know his recommendation around what to prioritize. I only ended up doing 50% of what needed to be done because I knew I could get by without the other 50%. A new car is definitely on the horizon in 2016, but I’ve got what I need to get me through the next 12 months. They also cleaned my car and gave me a complimentary calendar! While in Braintree for a hospital visit, 2 hours away from home, our *domestic* minivan began leaking coolant. These guys do auto work by appointment only, but were able to at least diagnose the issue, and confirm that the vehicle was safe to drive to a nearby domestic shop.

These guys were lifesavers, and deserve recognition for their integrity and character.

These guys are incredible. I’ve gone to them several times now and they have been fantastic. My first time in was for a leaking oil pan gasket — a very expensive job. The dealership quoted me $ 1,650. These guys did it for about $ 950. They are extremely knowledgeable, explain everything in detail, tell you what can wait and what can’t. They have more than earned my trust and as long as I drive a BMW, I’ll bring it to them for service.
Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Stop getting ripped off by the dealer and come here instead. And if you read some of my other reviews, you’ll see that I don’t dispense praise easily. In the case of this place, I do so with gusto!

I am not one for writing reviews, but I need to say these folks are great. They are attentive and thorough. After some disappointing service appointments at the local BMW dealership I found the shop on line and they live up to every one of the positive reviews.

Brought my M roadster in for an oil change. Went to pick it up and Alvin said the engine sounded funny and to take a listen. Compared it to another 3 series M engine and heard a faint clicking sound. Told me to do some research, no pressure, but likely the VANOS bolt, maybe the unit. Researched it, was a problem that showed up a bit and said go ahead. Lucky I did since was worse than thought, actually was the VANOS unit had a sheared part in engine, close to losing it. Shop was incredible, even worked with a Third Party warranty company to cover most of the work, used OEM parts shipped from Germany. Car runs incredibly now. Great shop, great team, fair price, will be back.

Everything Alvin and team does is great! Fast and courteous service by Alvin and team. Love brining my X5 to them. Stood by a warranty on a part he fixed before for me. Very trustworthy and reliable service. I have referred Alvin to others I know with BMW’s.

Just had a ton of work done by Alvin. They explained thoroughly what they were doing, and why they were doing it. My dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. No more check engine lights, tire sensors, taillight out, or brake light. If only I could pry my car keys back from my wife’s fingers, I’d truly get to enjoy the work that was just completed. Plan ahead as they have a lot of fans. Thanks fellas.

This place is definitely THE place to go for all BMW work (except for autobody repairs of course. this is a mechanic’s shop)!
Alvin is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in BMWs. Friendly service and reletively fast work. He doesn’t like rushing jobs, he likes taking his time to do everything perfectly. His shop is fully equipped and his technicians are just as good as himself. If you ever find yourself bored in the waiting room, have a chat with Russell (front desk guy). The man is hilarious and he also possess a wealth of knowledge.
My story: Before I bought my first BMW, I took it to Import Autowerks for a PPI (Prepurchase inspection… highly recommended!) He pointed out various things that were wrong and I am glad he did. I took the car back to the dealership and had them fix those issues before buying it. It was a HUGE money saver.
Today: I still go to Alvin for all of my BMW’s work. The store’s prices can’t be beat. I took a few quotes from other autoshops and they all ended up quoting me at a higher price. So get the jobs done at a lower price and by a BMW master technician (no brainer).
Word of advice: Join BMWCCA. You get additional discounts!

With four years of free maintenance when you buy a new BMW, there is no reason to go anywhere but the dealership to fix your car. But when that four years is up, there is no reason not to go to Alvin at Import Autowerks. It is easy to get an appointment, and I find them honest and reasonably priced.

Another great review for Alvin and his team. The newer location is great, has a seating area, with wifi. Charged me ¼ what the dealer wanted for a new cabin filter, plus did a brake flush, and new pads/​rotors. Also covered the cost for a rental car for a day. Top notch.

My left rear window on my X3 had fallen into the door and I needed it fixed. I called Import Autowerks at 8am and they had ordered the part and fixed it by 3pm. Also, the «Check Engine» light had been on since November and it was magically fixed when I got the car back he said that it must have corrected itself! I will definitely go back to these guys rather than the BMW service center.

When your car is beyond warranties and you want a good repair that you can trust, bring it to Import Autowerks.
After moving to Boston, we were in need of a repair shop for our BMW 323i. We found this shop after reading several positive reviews online. We were thoroughly impressed by the service, timeliness, honesty and cost.
Would definitely recommend.

Alvin and his crew at Import Autowerks set the bar high when it comes to BMW Service. They did an outstanding job of maintaining my BMW M3. Everything from oil changes to a CD Changer replacement was handled with the highest attention to detail. The work was always completed on time, and the prices were more than fair.

Alvin and his team are good guys (and gal). Honest advise and good detailed work. Alvin was a master tech at a local BMW dealer so he knows his BMW stuff. My E38 740i Sport and my wife E39 530i is maintained by IA along with my 2003 Audi A6 2.7T. He just helped me installed a StopTech BBK on my Audi.

I’ve gone in for my last three oil changes, and they always get it done quickly (less than 40 minutes). Plus, after 5 oil changes, the 6^th is free!

The radiator on my 5 series blew out on the highway. I had to keep driving to get off the road safely. Turns out this was a bad idea… as it melted all the pipes and tubing in my engine. I thought my car was totaled after that. Then a friend recommended me to import autowerks. He said there was a guy there named Alvin who was a mechanic at BMW norwood for years. I called a few other places to get an estimate. The prices were all about the same. So I decided to go with the experienced BMW mechanic.
I talked to Alvin in person and I knew right off the bat he knew what he was talking about. I can definitely tell he knew the car inside and out. He explained what was needed to be done, the pros/​cons etc. I felt confident bringing my car there. Less than a week later my was REPAIRED! All the pipes, tubes, radiator was replaced. There was no burnt smell or anything and the car runs the same it was before. I’m so happy he saved my car and did it fast and in my budget. Kudos to this place!
