History

Established in 2009.

Bill Hutzel started The Flute Loft for the sole purpose of distributing and selling Di Zhao flutes. As a professional flutist who has been performing and teaching for over 25 years, Bill is very knowledgeable of a wide range of flutes. He was so impressed with the quality and affordability of the Di Zhao instruments he auditioned for his own students that soon word-​of-​mouth attracted other professionals who wanted to offer the same value to their students as well as for their own professional use. Thus, The Flute Loft was launched! He has since added fine German flutes by Bernhard Hammig.

Business Owner

A performer and teacher for over 30 years, holds a degree in Music Ed. from Montclair State, with post graduate studies under Paige Brook, N.Y. Philharmonic. Bill directs the Brookside Chamber Ensemble, is a founding member of Flutatious!, co-​founding member of the NJ Flute Society, and he freelances. He is the owner of The Flute Loft, the number one distributor of Di Zhao flutes nationwide and Bernhard Hammig flutes.

The Flute Loft also specializes in flute repair.
