Mediocre food that’s overly priced. Staff ranging from overly cheery, to the point where it becomes unprofessional, to extremely rude. Loud, hot, uncomfortable. Won’t be returning.

Do not make reservations on holidays unless you want to wait two hours to be just seated. I made reservations on valentines day this year at around 8pm I got seated at 10:30. Since they had a first come first serve arrangement, the reservations I had for months meant nothing so don’t bother. I don’t know why reservations are even offered. Food is sufficiently good and comes in family portions.

This is honestly the first negative review I have ever had for Buca and I am completely dissatisfied on all counts. Tonight we started off by ordering drinks and I how in the world we ended up with a bad drink(a signature Orange Twist) I will never figure out. This is the first time in my life I have ever turned down alcohol, sent it back to get a Pepsi. Appetizer of cheesy garlic bread was good. Dinner was a signature dish of Chicken and Sausage ziti. It came out 45 minutes later and had no flavor. How you can make a garlic cream sauce that has no flavor… I dont know. We decided to cut our losses and run. I personally will never be back to this Buca location and that is a shame because I usually love it.

I’ll be honest-it’s good-not great-not amazing, and I swear I enjoy their salad over everything on their menu. This place is OK but I’ve had so much better and honestly, the new Italian place on Oakfield spanks this place.

First of all, we had a party of 10. Restaurants usually fear large parties, but they were more than happy to have us. Our server was Dakota and from the get go she was a rock star. She was friendly, courteous, genuine and everything you would want in a server. The food was impeccable! The prices are daunting when you first look at them, but keep in mind that the menu is built for sharing and that’s exactly what we did. Also, the atmosphere within Buca was amazing. Definitely a must visit restaurant.

I’ll start by saying that the food is delectable! Jose and I shared a dish of Spicy Chicken Rigatoni and the Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken. Both wonderful entrées made for sharing with food to take for leftovers! If you’ve ever been to Buca before, you’ll know the atmosphere depends on the room you’re seated, and we were seated in the Frank Sinatra room. The music was the perfect volume where you can listen if you want, but you can hold a conversation with your table without having to yell and the walls hold numerous things to look at! Great conversation starters. The waitstaff was okay. Daniel, who took our drink order and brought the bread with olive oil, was wonderful. He was very nice and helpful. Our actual waitress was okay. I felt like, because it was close to closing time, she was ready to get out of there and she wasn’t very attentive. When she did come up to the table, she was very sweet, but I felt like we got more attention from Daniel then our actual waitress. All in all, it was a good experience. The food was VERY good, and the service was okay. I will go back again, maybe a little earlier next time, and I will definitely be enjoying my leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Have been to this chain in multiple states and this one is by far the best. Made reservations for the kitchen table which few people know about and it costs no more but you need to reserve it. The waiter was great and brought every dish that came out of the kitchen by our table and described it. Certainly gives you some ideas for your next visit. The menu has 2 sizes of almost everything but when we ordered the small Caesar salad which was listed on the menu the waiter said they only had one size which was the large one. Delicious but wish we could have ordered the smaller size. Kitchen is so clean and well organized it is a pleasure to watch the chefs and kitchen staff in action. Everything is ala carte so if you expect a vegetable or starch with your meal and it is not listed you will be disappointed. A side of garlic mashed potatoes is $ 10 but will serve like 5 people. You think I would learn but I always over order and we have leftovers for days. The white sangria was the best I have ever tasted. Fruity with orange, lemon and a cherry. They bring a small carafe so you actually get more than a glass which is nice. Stuffed mushrooms in pesto sauce were delicious and veal piccata was out of this world. The mushrooms with the veal and wine were absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth. Veal Parmesan was 3 huge pieces and hard to eat more than one piece as each piece is a full serving. As always never disappointed but do wish you could order smaller portions as I would probably try many different items. Join their online program and you will get great coupons all the time and birthday specials as well. Worth it as they don’t flood you with marketing emails which is why I usually don’t sign up for things like that but theirs is different. Planning my next trip back !

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was relatively empty, aside from 2 – 3 other couples, which made us a little nervous. My thought process is, «Why is it empty?» «Does everyone else know something that we don’t know about this restaurant?» Anyway, I love that they take you on a tour of the restaurant(including the kitchen) and explain how/why the business started. The pictures on the wall are very interesting(over 3000WOW!!). It’s family style dinning, which means that all the portions are really big and meant to be shared amongst one another. Great if you’re with a group of people, bad if it’s only 2 of you and you don’t want to eat the same thing. We shared the Quattro Al Forno and received«what was told to us» was fresh baked bread. It was cold outside and inside when received it, no warmth at all. I doubt it was fresh baked. The food was good though. The bad is that the servers were horrible. Since there were so few people there I guess that meant that they did not feel any sort of obligation to serve the people that were there in a timely manner. We sat and watched them talk and talk and talk and talk, even though our order hadn’t been taken, the drinks hadn’t been served(or our glasses were empty), they didn’t bother to check on us at all. We kept having to interrupt their chitter-chatter just to get served. Not good! I may or may not go back if I have family in town. Definitely won’t go back for just 2 people.

So far this is a very unique place memorabilia and pictures everywhere red checkered tablecloths just like mama’s place. The food comes family style which basically means plan on eating leftovers for a few days I got spaghetti and meatballs and my wife got egg plant Parmesan okay food came out seriously this much food you’re going to be leftovers for a couple days just like I said. My wife said her eggplant Parmesan was wonderful and my spaghetti was very good. way too much food I won’t be worth a damn the rest of the day okay so would I recommend this place absolutely just remember you’re going to have leftovers. everyone seemed very nice manager staff everybody was very welcoming you need to try this place

Unimpressed… am I missing something here? My first Buca experience was part of a company dinner. Most of my co-workers have been here before and kept telling me how good it is, so far beyond Olive Garden, etc. I’m not much of an OG fan so I was more than ready for some good Italian. Appetizers first. Loved the fried mozzarella, calamari didn’t do much for me. The salad was really disappointing — it just tasted kind of soggy, like I’d just grabbed an older bag out of my own refrigerator. Dinner consisted of various pastas. I enjoyed my rigatoni and fettucine alfredo. Made sure to take one of the famous meatballs and I almost wish I hadn’t. Not sure if it’s the sheer volume of meat but it just wasn’t any good. No dessert. The waitstaff did a get job and the bartender was a riot. Ultimately, though, not a place that I’m itching to return to.

This place was great! My first time and it was delicious! The lasagna was the best! Recommend it! Our waiter was awesome! We dined in the kitchen! Never had that experience! They showed us each plate before leaving to drop it off at a table! Was a great treat and the desert was yummy! Save room for it!

Visited the Brandon location for their Veterans Day offer. A great disappointment. Portion was for a child, not an adult. The restaurant smelled and was dirty. I guess that’s why there was no one there, would not recommend.

My review is based on a lunch time experience. I’m involved in a weekly networking group that meets in Brandon. When our usual spot closed we were forced to look for a new location and Buca was one of the great spots we got to check out. I believe lunch is a new thing for them but it definitely didn’t disappoint. First, there is a great selection. Anything from a salad(there are lots of choices and they’re amazing) to pasta, to a panini, they have it all at lunch. I tried the chicken parm. It was solid. I opted for the Rosa sauce on the pasta and for me that was my favorite. Lots of flavor in that one! Their paninis are huge, super filling and delicious as well. This location turns out to be great for a large group even for lunch. Management was very nice, super accommodating and very friendly.

I think as far as Italian goes this is probably one that I don’t mind coming back over and over but it’s «family style» so depending what you order you may want to share. Everyone ordered something different mostly pastas but I decided to try the mussels marinara, it’s mainly a broth, you can think of it like a «mussel soup» very delicious and a big bowl just for me. Nice décor, friendly staff.

Welcome to the place that looks like your Mama’s kitchen, if she came from Italy… or at least, I think so. My heritage is German and English. However, this addition to the ubiquitous«Italian-American food — large portions to share and take home» restaurants does it well, with very friendly and helpful staff. The pasta is al dente, the sauces spiced just right and the portions are enormous. That makes for a filling couple of meals, no matter how you take it. We come here about every six weeks and it never disappoints.

I used to really love this place but they screwed up our bill last visit and refuse to rectify it. We have called and they keep saying they will but nothing has been done. The food is good, reasonably priced for what you get and up until this past experience I considered them 4.5 stars easily, now 3 and that is just because the food is so good.

We’ve been to this chain in various cities around the country, but this one was really great. Outstanding, friendly service that took care of us when we had a slight issue with the food. Honored our coupon(hooray nurse’s week!) and were really nice all around. The food is always great here too. We had the 1893 antipasto salad, which was awesome and stuffed full of tasty meats and cheeses. Also had the baked ziti, and a side of sausage and peppers… calling this a side is like calling an Abrams Tank a well-built automobile — two massive Italian sausages drenched in marinara and sweet peppers that could feed a family of 6. Great stuff.

The waiter wasn’t too happy to serve someone without a «family style» party. I’d been told that I could order single serving portions of their pasta — fine, great. When I saw my bill, I found that I’d been charged $ 5.99 for what was really the most miserable spaghetti I’d had in ages, plus $ 5.99 for a single meatball. No, I’m not joking. Not all that impressed with the waiter coming by all the time to ask whether I wanted a box to take home whatever I had on the table, and not too thrilled that the manager had to serve me because the waiter was more busy trying to impress the larger-ticket groups at other tables(and, of course, sparing the time to serve them). Unilocal’s review language is perfect — «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» I don’t plan on going back to this place.

I don’t know why anyone would give this place less than 4 stars. I have never had bad service or poor food quality. The portions are meant to be shared. That’s why this place is a family style restaurant. The small order feeds about 2 people and the large about 4. It’s well worth the price here. You really get a lot and we always end up taking most of it home with us. Their Antipasto Salad is my absolute favorite. I usually get it as an appetizer and then order the pesto salmon for my meal. Yep… gooood!!! I normally don’t order any of their sides(they are a la carte) because I’m still munching on my salad and the yummy bread they bring out. The atmosphere is awesome. Every room is themed differently. Bucca Di Beppo is a great place to have birthdays, anniversaries or anything pertaining to a large group. There’s lots of space and of course lots of food to be shared!

This has to be my favorite Italian restaurant chain yet. They always walk you though the kitchen first so you can take the tour. It is very easy to get lost in their many rooms that all look the same, kids love it because there are always groups of them running around and screaming. It is best to go with a large group to get the full experience, since everything is family style in large platters. The food comes with a cold partially sliced loaf of terrible soda bread, and possible some olive oil on the side, depending on your server. Never expect to review good service here or you will be very disappointed. Plus, do not come here if you are in a rush, even for a pick-up order, because everything takes forever. I read the menu three times and looked all over the table for a drink menu and did not find one. I love Italian Cream Soda and just happened to ask about it one day, so the waitress named off the flavors. I always order it now in raspberry, it is really good, but I don’t know the price because they always forget to charge me for it with their high level of organization at this place. The dishes come in large and small sizes, small feeding 2 – 3 people. Expect to pay $ 13.99−27.99 for a small, depending on if you order pasta or seafood. They now have a lunch menu with on person servings, so you can get some pasta dishes for $ 8.99−11.99. I, of course, have to order the largest thing I can find. My favorite is always the Quatro Forno, which is 4 large ravioli, 2 stuffed shells, and 2 manicotti. Any of their dishes with their spicy Italian sausage are excellent too. Don’t get the $ 7.99 basket of garlic bread, what a rip off. All of their sauces are really good, and all of their pastas are cooked al dente. The food is gooooood, otherwise I would not keep braving this place for a new adventure every time. Go here to get salty/cheesy food, delicious tomato sauce, and so full you want to vomit.
