wanted a bike estimate to fix my bike in his shop and the guy said he charges 50 $ for just a estimate. called another bike shop and they told me they will gladly do this without a charge. sorry but very rude, defenitly recomend you bike works in the brandon area

I went to discuss the possiblity of getting back into boking and had a great conversation with one of the staff. They sell nice products and make the time to explain and discuss them at whatever level of understanding you happen to inhabit. Bikes start at about $ 600 and go up, mainly focused on mountain biking (which I have to snicker at in Florida). Nice store. I recommend these guys

I’ve worked with Paul and I’ve known him for almost two years now. He’s a great guy and has a lot of knowledge on bikes he loves to share. This isn’t like any other bike shop, they aren’t going to rip you off or push things on you that you don’t need. Curt & Jeff are also very nice and helpful! It’s a neat shop that likes to give back to the community so I definitely recommend checking it out

Purchased my first road bike from King Cycles. The owner, Paul, is super helpful and friendly. No sales pressure whatsoever and definitely seemed interested in helping me find a bike that fits my needs. Gave me a very fair deal on my trade-​in bike. Just an overall great experience and will definitely be the place I take my bike for tune-​ups and any future bike purchases.

What a great shop. I met the owner, Paul, today on my first visit to the shop. Super friendly and the most knowledgable on mountain bike gear I have met. He rides what he sells and it shows!
We watched him work with a family buying their first mountain bike and the level of service was amazing. I would recommend stopping by if you are looking to buy or upgrade your rig. I will next time.
He even gave me some accessories that should have come with my high end bike that the other bike shop «forgot» to give me.
I can’t remember all lines he had, but he had Santa Cruz well represented! That is hard to find in this area… He also is the only full I9 wheel builder. Don’t be fooled into partial builds with low end spokes.

What makes a great bike shop? For me it is about the folks that work there. When I go into a bike shop for the first time, I want it to feel like I have been there 100 times before. At King Cycles, you will be greeted by people who are generally excited to talk about anything to do with cycling. No car dealership full court press here. If you need help or have questions they have the experience to assist in anyway.
As an overly obsessive mountain biker, I went in because I drove by on my way home and saw a new «Bicycles» sign going up. Paul (the owner) greeted me and we started chatting about the local trails. After a minute the conversation turned to gear and I asked why King Cycles carried the brands they do. I was impressed with Paul’s integrity and desire to serve (not just sell to) the local rider community. For example, I mentioned in passing that my front dérailleur was bothering me and he quickly diagnosed some minor issues and fixed them on the spot no charge.
Net/Net…my next bike will be purchased from King Cycles as I like having more choices than just the typical «big three» bike manufacturers. More importantly, there is piece of mind in knowing that a shop like King Cycles will support me long after the purchase.
