The Cinderella Shoppe Bridal & Prom

Great selection and service! Due to some unfortunate circumstances I had to move up my wedding date and only had a week to find everything. I found this place by chance and Valerie was very welcoming and able to work with my time restraints. I found the PERFECT dress that I could take home with me then and there, and I could afford it too!

My daughter and I bought her homecoming dress here. Such a beautiful selection with LOTS of selection, and in larger sizes we were having trouble finding. Wonderful and helpful service, and great prices for the quality. I highly recommend.

To start off I am a new mom of a 10 day old, I’m obviously not down to my pre baby weight, but with my mom in town from Indiana I thought it would be fun to do my first time dress shopping with her here ! I read a few reviews of this shop on Google and though why not give it a try. To start off we did not have an appointment, so when the lady approached me I let her know that we were just browsing and if she could not help us that day that was fine ! She was almost put off by that and rolled her eyes (strike one) Then she asked what size I was in wedding dresses, which I replied an 18, the look of disgust on her face made me feel so uncomfortable, and then she let us know that the whole left side of the store was for small sizes so I need not look there, and then pointed and said «all the big dresses are over there » … So my mom and I browsed the «big dresses» which were all very outdated and cheaply made … Before we left the store my mom and I were just browsing the smaller sizes (there were a lot more options and cuter styles) the lady then came up and said «these are WAY WAY WAY WAY too small», and said I needed to be on the other side of the store… By the time my mom and I left I was almost in tears, being a size 12 normally I was already a little bummed that I was having to look at bigger dresses, but to have the employee rub it in my face just made it worse. I would never recommend this shop to anyone!

What a creative name for a dress store, however our experience was not magical. Expecting the staff to be like a Fairy god
Mother, she was more like Cinderella’s evil step mother, rude and negative. I believe she said her name was Valerie. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, however unless they fix their customer service, don’t waste your time going here. We ended up going to Perfection Bridal Shoppe a few miles west and had a much better experience.

This shop is amazing. The selection and quality of the gowns are wonderful .A full service boutique. Valerie is great!

My fiancé is the lowest-​maintenance woman on planet earth, so we went here looking for «any dress which fits that they might have in stock — preferably not very expensive.» The lady directed us to a catalog — nothing in-​store despite racks and racks of dresses! — and those catalog dresses also required special shipping and of course alterations. Sooo… I understand the concept of «up-​selling» but how does a bridal place stay in business without listening to the actual bride?
We ended up going to Perfection Prom and Bridal at the corner of Bloomingdale and Gornto Lake Road, where my future wife tried on and bought a dress in about 15 minutes. Check out Perfection first, those folks really had impressive customer service and a bigger selection as well.

A++ I found Cinderella Shoppe on the internet and wasn’t sure what to expect when I would arrive. What a nice shop! My daughter and I arrived and were immediately greeted by one of the associates. We felt welcome and comfortable there while shopping for homecoming dresses. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional while making you feel like you had always been a customer of theirs. We bought a beautiful, unique dress and are very happy. We will go there again and refer our family and friends. Thanks for making dress shopping so much fun!

If you are on a budget this maybe the place for you. However, in my opinion you are saving $ 200-​$ 300 from what you can find at a beautiful boutique. If you are looking for one on one experience, friendly and positive environment, and a large selection this is not for you. Think of TJ Maxx for Wedding dresses… off the rack as is sample or used dresses. I went in excited and left deflated.

After shopping for the day for dresses and having issues at major chains we stumbled upon this little store, tucked in the corner of a small shopping plaza.
The owner, Valerie, was quick to offer assistance, asking what we were looking for. She explained that she purchases sample dresses from different designers and sells them at a much lower price. There are also some previously worn dresses. The inventory changes daily and she hand picks each dress.
Valerie offered some ideas once she knew what I had in mind as far as style. Also, there were two racks in the middle with $ 99 dresses.
I tried on a few dresses and stumbled upon one that I really loved. The plus? It was $ 99! Valerie also gave some input on alterations. I was going to need to have the straps shorted and she showed me how it looked to wear them in a v-​shape on the back. Much better!
When you pick up a dress there they also give you a list of local wedding vendors they recommend. They are all about promoting small businesses. I was pleased. And Valerie also talked to us about dresses some more, what she does, and the other items they offer.
The store also has prom/​homecoming dresses, accessories, and costume jewelry.
I was highly recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for a dress!
