Specialties

Joel & Janet Mondlak invite you to step inside The Inside Scoop and Antiques By The Falls in downtown Brandon, Vermont. Reminisce and enjoy a treat from the ice cream parlor /soda fountain while meandering the nooks and crannies of the co-located antique shop, all in an 1840s building. The vintage oak and marble counters evoke memories of an era gone-by. Fun, colorful, memorable and best of all, very tasty. We love ice cream and we sell only the best, from a 5th generation Vermont creamery. Antiques and collectibles from area families — and you know those old New England barns and attics — packed with treasures. Open all year, until 9 pm in the summer and 6 pm the rest of the year. Closed Tuesdays during the coldest months. Look for the big, bright chair, next to the Brandon Inn.

History

Established in 2005.

We’ve been buying and selling antiques and collectibles in Vermont for more than 25 years. It was natural to open this shop in downtown Brandon in 2005 and to merge it with an old-fashioned ice cream parlor /soda fountain. Why? Because we love ice cream!

He is also responsible for ice cream management, which sounds a lot sexier than it really is!
