Just OK. Wings were good, companion said the fish and chips was, too. No Guinness. Décor lacks a lot. Nice enough staff. Definitely not an Irish pub, just sort of a local bar. Won’t revisit.

Worst place I’ve been to yet. Tiny menu, couldn’t even cook the one thing on menu right. Went on Friday night and it was completely empty. Now I know why. Absolutely horrible. All they have on menu is a burger with only 4 options for toppings. After we placed our order at the grimy table, we waited for 20 minutes then heard a whole bunch of glass shatter in the kitchen. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to cook two hamburgers. This place is disgusting, food was very poor, service was horrendous, and the music was way too loud. Only people I can see coming here are super drunk college kids. However our closest college is Yale, 12 minutes away. Never coming back. I’d give 0 stars if possible.

Great hidden gem in Branford! Steve the bartender is great, very personable and really makes the spot a friendly environment even when there’s not a ton of people. Unbelievably cheap drinks and great music too. My favorite bar in Branford!

Stopped in for lunch with some friends. The menu was very limited and did not offer too many items that were not fried. For an «Irish» pub, the menu was not very Irish. They also market themselves as a sports bar, but we had to ask the gentleman to put something other than daytime television on. There was only one man working, and while he was very nice, he wasn’t very clean and did not move with a sense of purpose. Once we even had to find him smoking behind the building to get service. We tried to order three different items that they were out of before we found something they had. I’m not sure if this is the way it always is, but it was bad enough that I have a hard time giving it a second chance.

Relaxing ambiance and comfortable seating. Pleased to see a corn-hole set up outside. It’s more of a bar/pub than restaurant. The menu is pretty short. The fish and chips were quite authentic, haven’t tasted fish and chips like that since I was in Ireland! Being a pescatarian I wish the menu had a few other seafood options, especially being so close to The ocean. Overall, great little summer spot, I will definitely be back again.

I went there with a groupon. It’s an Irish bar but the online menu listed Guinness in a can, not on draft. I figured it was an error with the menu. It was. When I arrived, I saw they did have it on draft. Unfortunately it had a metallic taste. An Irish bar should do Guinness well. I suggest they check the calibration of their equipment. For an Irish bar, little about the food was Irish. Fish and chips, I guess. They had a big sign for their specialty: Chicago Italian beef sandwich. I tried it but I won’t be ordering it again. Unlike the photograph, it came with French fries AND potato salad. The fries were greasy and the potato salad tasted like it came from the Stop&Shop deli counter. The combination of beef and the marinade of Italian spices was a bit odd. The service also left something to be desired. I ate at the bar and ordered some wings. When the bartender brought the wings, he asked if I’d like another beer. Then he disappeared. I ate the 6 wings and sat. Finally the bartender brought the sandwich when I asked for that second beer. They also call themselves a sports bar. They have 7 wall-mounted TVs. The 4 in the bar area had a frozen picture the entire time. Two others were playing some non-sports show from NBC. One of the seven was playing NESN. Couldn’t hear it though because they were playing commercial radio for background music. I didn’t really enjoy all those commercials on KC101.

Love this place! First went when we had a living social coupon and I am HOOKED on the Chicago Beef. I am so happy this place introduced me to this sandwich. Great prices and traditional Chicago/Irish style pub. Went back to celebrate my Birthday and so happy I brought more attention to this place. I’ve only had the beef but other guests loved the patty melt and everyone was impressed with the generous size ld the side salad if you don’t want fries. Really hope they stick around… great addition to Branford.

We had a living social coupon and went tonight. Friday night happy hour only two people at the bar, no waitress, no bartenter, just a cook who has never cooked before! Where is the owner? Half an hour later the Black and Tan was watered down and the house wine was awful. We saw what was coming so we left the coupon and went to Lenny’s! I can’t believe they will be around long!

The owner is very sweet. We had a living social coupon, so decided to use it. Our waitress was sweet. The food was dreadful. We had their«specialty » The Chicago beef sandwich. Beef was fine. Sauce was dreadful. Onion rings tasted like they came from the frozen food department of the supermarket. Don’t go here to eat.

Great food with a unique selection of beers. The Italian Beef from Chicago is a must have. I can’t wait to go back when they have live music.

The service had a lot to be desired. The bartender kept disappearing for LONG periods of time. She was in the kitchen more than anywhere. The food sat in the delivery window for a long time, when we got it, it was cold. We were thinking we would never go back. Even if it is a new place working out the kinks, it was too bad to recover from. But at the end of our meal, the owner came over and asked how everything was. We were honest and told her what we disliked. She was very apologetic and took our food off the bill. She said it was an off night and it is usually much better. We will give it another shot.
