Description

Specialties

Forty Putney Road is a beautiful, yet comfortable B&B. We are located on the water yet just a short walk to lively downtown Brattleboro and its abundant shops, galleries, restaurants, and pubs. We have our own in-house pub with a great selection of wine, champagne, and Vermont craft beers and, upon prior request, can host a craft beer tasting Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. for our guests.

History

Established in 2000.

Built in 1929 as the Superintendent’s home for the Vermont Asylum for the Insane, today the property has been fully restored and includes six luxury guest rooms and suites, a cozy pub and elaborate gardens, all on the water and a short walk to downtown Brattleboro.
