History

Established in 1998.

Richard Pierce created Pierce Construction & Repair (PCR) in 1990 after the aero-​space industry collapsed. He was an engineer with a construction background who wanted his own business. PCR grew by doing home additions and all manner of construction projects. However, in 1998 PCR was requested to build a hillside deck and was required to use vinyl for the deck surfaced. From that experience another company Cal Fence Deck & Rail (CFDR) was created and it became a manufactures’ representative for numerous new products. Now both companies work together to providing procurement skills and installation skills for successful home renovation projects. PCR still does all manner of construction projects, but because of the close ties to CFDR a majority of the focus is on the amenities outside and around a house.

Estimates are free and all bids that are generated are written out in detail so as to minimize any possibility of confusion as to what is desired and what is to be provided.

Business Owner

Richard Pierce grew up in the Southern California and obtained an engineering degree from UCLA as well as a Masters in Business Administration from UCLA. He then went to work for Hughes Aircraft and 18 years later changed over to United Technology. That job lasted for another 12 years. All together this allowed him to work with 17 different foreign military commands, the US Marines, the US Navy and the US Air Force. This experience allowed him to travel around the word and live in both England and Italy. He got to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and spend time in Pakistan. When the aero-​space industry collapsed in the late 90s he started Pierce Construction & Repair. A few years later Cal Fence Deck & Rail was created to promote specialized products.
