Chase Bank

If I could give a negative star rating I would. How can they tell me if I make a deposit for $ 97.88 and I hand a $ 100 bill, they can’t take the deposit because it’s not exact. So basically they can’t give me change!!! They are the bank!!! How the hell can they not give me change!!! This bank is the worst I’ve even seen.

Second branch tonight that the ATM is unable to accept deposits. Seriously? You SUCK Chase, it may be time for me to look into transferring my account elsewhere!

Old Asian financial advisor was rude and just wanted me to call customer service. I didn’t drive all the way to this branch just to be told to call customer service. His loss as I’ll invest elsewhere.

No wonder they have 2.5 stars. This is a crappy Chase. Came in on a Friday to see if they have new $ 2 bills for Lunar New Year. Teller was like no with no smile. Asked for new ones instead then. Teller shook her head and said they don’t have any new bills. Okay. Whatever.

While the wait can be long, especially during peak hours, the customer service is exceptional.
Kathy in Chase Private Client is just the best. She is very attentive and greets me or my wife even when We are are just waiting in the teller line. There’s one ATM outside and 2 inside the lobby that require you to slide your ATM card to open the lobby door. I personally like that feature and feel a little more secure doing my ATM banking that way after hours.
The location is good (right across from the mall) but parking can be a challenge and exiting the lot, especially to go back to Imperial, is a wait. So, no matter what, be it banking or leaving, there’s a wait.

Horrible customer service. I was making a cash deposit for my family member who needed the money in to his account for an urgent matter and because I was not a chase customer they would not allow me to. They told me to go get a money order and then it can be done. This is why I would never ever be a chase client and bring my money and investments to this company. Oh, the. They tried to push me to open an account with them

I have been a Chase customer for over six years and I recently have had the need to open a small business account. I wanted to keep all my banking together but I was very disappointed that the time that I went in to open my account the one and only representative that is in charge of that department was out on vacation. I then got the information and came back only to find out that the one piece of paper I needed I did not have. That could have been mentioned on the first appointment, nevertheless, I was given the phone number to that representative so that I could call and make an appointment when my paperwork arrived. It did on Saturday and to my surprise when I called today I was told that that same representative was on vacation and would not return until Monday. The woman who took my call also took my information and said she would call me back with available appointments for two other branches. That never happened.

Unbelievable! 1 teller available on a Friday afternoon.
Are they trying to drive their customers away? As another reviewer said they had a person trying to get customers waiting for the lone teller to use the ATM. if we wanted to that we would have.

The branch smells bad. I asked why and they told me because the garbage in the back was against their wall and the smell wafts in. Also, the branch manager, not sure… But she kept on trying to get me to use the ATM, uhm hello, if I wanted to use the ATM, I would. I had a preference this morning to go to the teller because I didn’t want my check to sit in the ATM until someone checked it for verification, plus I had some other transactions… I just didn’t like the service. I especially checked in to write a review. I was here last time and that was ok… The tellers are always good at what they do, it’s just the upper management or something who always give me weird remarks or they push me to use the ATM. I’ve been here only twice because the bank is right across from the mall. I should just go to the one on Rose Dr. since their service is always better.

This reviews is based only on our church opening a business account with this bank. We had a really great experience with Stephanie the personal banker. She was very knowledgable and helpful in answering all our questions and getting us set up she even helped us count all our money before we deposited it.
She also got us connected with the right people on how to pay our employees and about other legal matters.
Haven’t experienced the tellers or other employees yet but hopefully it’s a better experience than what other reviewers are saying. But it was all well with Stephanie.

This is the worst Chase bank I’ve been too! I came in for notary service on a Tuesday and waited about 20 mins. before someone would greet me. Once she greeted me she advised me that the person who does the notary is not in today and will be in tomorrow. She offered to call another branch and check to see if they can do the notary for me but I decided to just come in the next day since I was on my lunch.
Next day I walked in and waited another 20 min. before I was greeted again. (Annoying!!!) The woman who came over said that there was no notary for today (what the hell???) I then proceeded to tell her that I was advised the notary person would be in today. She cut me off and said «well people call in sick» wow rude much? I was really annoyed and left! I will not bank at this location and really thinking about switching banks.

«Meh. I’ve experienced better» Exactly how I would have rated this.
They aren’t horrible, but I’ve already had such a bad experience with Chase the past few months, it didn’t feel comforting when a lady brought me to her office to hope I was a «quick» help while checking out the door every 5 seconds for her client who had an appointment.
It’s one thing if you have an appointment, you don’t have to try to get me out quickly or make me feel like I was not important… I even got scootched over to an empty cubicle to be on the phone with the credit card operator. I think I could have done that at home :(
Oh and parking is a little strange the first time you go. It’s a small bank for being Chase.

Worst customer service. There’s this pregnant lady that keeps talking to customers even though they’re done with their transaction. Plus she’s the only one working and although there were other workers they just let the line of 3 people wait for like 10 minutes. Just really slow

At chase in brea. I swear. Worst customer service. I’ve been sitting here for 20 min. No one has said hi or can I help you… Nothing. Bankers clearly available… no need to ever go there again

Excellent service from Mark Maerz, branch manager. Very responsive, respectful and kind. Good olé’ customer service makes me want to bank no where else. I was not treated like a number, but like a person! And my concerns and issues were given great consideration and attention. Thank you Mr. Mark for your great attitude. This review is about chase in general, not this particular branch. My son wanted to deposit cash into my bank account. He was told they no longer accept cash. He has to write a check, get a cashiers check, money order or use an ATM card. The reason I was given was because they need to know where the money is coming from. There’s a money laundering problem.
REALLY??? I could maybe see that if someone was having large amounts of money being deposited into their accounts on a regular basis. In my case it was under $ 200.00
They coaxed him into opening a checking account, «it’s easier to transfer money that way»
I’m seriously thinking of finding another bank!!!

Yesterday I was grocery shopping and when i was checking out I realized my wallet was missing I asked the nice lady at the Sprouts to hold my groceries and I would be right back with some cash. I drove to Chase bank and talk to a blonde lady who had dark rimmed glasses on. I know for sure she had blonde hair. I explained what happened and asked if I could get some cash. She said not without an ID but as a mom with small children this is not my first rodeo and before they have asked me a series of personal questions and I was able to get some money. So I told her this and she said no not unless we know who you are personally we can’t give you access to your money. SO IF I LOSE MY WALLET AND ALL MY PERSONAL AFFECTS YOU CAN’T GIVE ME MONEY. No ‘mam I’m sorry I can’t. I walked away and got in my car and thought this can’t be right and if it is we should change banks. So I drove to another chase location on Imperial and walked in and in less than five minutes I had my new debit card in hand to go and get my groceries. They made it so simple and I couldn’t have been happier.
To summarize skip this chase bank and go to the one on imperial and speak to a Banker there that know how to do their job.

Love this place! The best staff. Knowledgeable, friendly– not pushy.
The staff is willing to help with any banking needs– checking, savings, retirement, mortgage, any financial questions.
The staff here is priceless!

Can’t believe this branch has such bad reviews, we’ve had nothing but A+++ service from here. Especially from Kathy! We opened all our accounts with her. It always take a long time but everyone is really nice here. We always have a really pleasant experience when dealing with anyone from this Chase branch as well as when I have to call for my Southwest Visa (through Chase) I think they recognize the importance of having customer service.
Though, I cannot say the same for the FULLERTON branch off Harbor & Brea Blvd. Very bad. But that just taught me to keep coming back to this branch!
