Tried this place 4 times thinking it would get better since its fairly new to the mall. I love mediterranean food, especially there hummus. The food is decent but the service is a joke. One guy looks like they picked up a homeless off the street. Stingy with there portions on the bowl. I ordered white chicken breast and they literally put 3 pieces. The bowl had rice 3 pieces of chicken and some cheap veggies. All for 7 dollars. I asked for hummus but they charge extra for a tiny spoonful. Pretty much food is decent but need to get a new lineup of employees. And stop being so stingy with their portions.

LOVE this place. I work at the mall and eat here every chance I get. I get the Greek salad with everything on it with Chicken Kabob. DELICIOUS! Their garlic sauce is so yummy. Try something different when you’re here at the mall. Panda, Sbarro etc. have nothing on this place. Prices are very reasonable!

Brea Mall Food Court FOOD: 3.5STARS tried the lamb/beef plate, and the chicken schwarma salad. Both were pretty darn good. AMBIANCE: 2.5STARS it’s an average food court. Lotta tables and chairs. clean enough. SERVICE: 2STARS I mean the guys were friendly enough. What was weird was that the only thing he asked me was«cucumbers tomatoes?» I said yes. And then he tossed in a bunch of other ingredients without asking me. Feta & olives & dressing. He didn’t ask me what dressing(when there were 3 options listed on the menu). I wanted garbanzo beans but since he didnt ask I thought it was an extra charge. When I asked he said no. So why didn’t he ask me what else I wanted in it? PRICE: 3.5STARS For quantity and quality the price is good here. The food is good, and I def appreciate this place in the food court. Just next time I go I’m going to have to take charge of my own order.

Very yummy! Good price, delicious chicken salad and yummy garlic sauce, just one issue the customer service sucks! If I could I would give it 3.5, but the part that really turned me off was the customer service! Totally sucks!

Neither my friend or I cared for what we had ordered. «Interesting» is how we would describe it. That is the most positive answer we could give in response to «How’s your food?»

for a fast food joint, this place ROCKS! i got the value meal, which included a value sized wrap, and pita bread and hummus for around 5 bucks. Personally, i thought this was VERY reasonable! The chicken shwarma wrap was SOO0O0O0O0O0o yummy! and you can personalize it with whatever veggies you want! ALSO, they have so many different flavors of hummus! the avocado hummus is SOOOTASTY! I LOVE !!! they don’t give you much hummus tho… but i don’t mind because I’m on a(semi)diet anyways. hehe SOOO happy they opened a media place in the food court of brea mall! SUPER convenient and SUPERYUM! YOUKNOW I BEHITTIN’ DISPLACEUPALLDATIMENOW

Tried this place for a quick lunch at the mall. Staff was friendly although food was not great. Counters and trays were dirty. Do not plan to give it a second chance.

OVERALL: I love this place. It’s a nice change to the usual type of food found at the Brea Mall. Their beef shawarma is pretty tender and delicious. I love getting their«plate it», they give a ton of food! Their rice is pretty good and their tahini is perfection. I’m usually a big fan of Zankous and this is pretty comparable and closer than driving to LA or Anaheim to Zankou. I kind of prefer the tahini at Chickpita over the one at Zankous, to be honest. And they give way more beef shawarma than Zankou does. So I feel like it’s more bang for your buck. QUALITY: The quality of the beef is top notch and seriously, I mean it when I say they give a ton of food on their«plate it»… you will need to order extra bread for it because honestly, what they give you is not enough. SERVICE: The guys that work here are super nice and friendly! They chat you up like they’ve known you for ages and if you come here more than once, they’ll know exactly who you are. They acknowledge their regulars, which I think is awesome. It makes you feel more comfortable that way.

Service sucks but at least the food is decently priced. $ 5.49 for a bowl isn’t too bad. For that price you get rice, a scoop of lentil soup, vegetables, sauce, and protein. The chicken shawarma was hot and fresh.

Not bad! I was killing time waiting for Kinkos down the street to finish my order and I thought I’d try this place. I saw it last time I was at Brea Mall when I mistakenly got Panda Express. There was one worker and he was nice. When he pulled the wheat pita out of the warmer and the edge was too toasted, he replaced it without me asking. I got a beef shawarma wrap and a small drink for under $ 8. The vegetables were fresh and the sauce tangy and when I said medium spice it was perfect. I actually enjoyed mall food! This is my go to place to eat if I shop in Brea now.

Saw this place and thought I’d give it a try. The service is horrible, and no one seems to be happy to work here; At least show some interest in serving people or be happy you have a job in this type of economy that we are having. Other than that the food was good. Portion was bad though. I got the chicken bowl and got four pieces of chicken and rice barely covered the bottom of the bowl. Won’t becoming back and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I too am amazed by all these bad reviews… people should realize that this is fast food not a fine dining restaurant! Being that I am half Lebanese I know my stuff especially that I have spent many summers in lebanon while growing up. I gotta say the food here was delicious. I have tried the chicken shawarma wrap and the beef lamb gyro wrap and loved both of them. Even my grandma is a fan. The food is tasty and for someone who is pretty health conscious I think its a great alternative to taco bell, panda, and of course hamburgers!

i came here because i wanted something fast. it was fast and quick and the 2 guys who were working there were really funny and nice, but the food was really salty. i got the gyro plate with the salad and garlic hummus. the gyro was really salty that i ate half and i just couldn’t finish the rest. the hummus and salad were good, but if the«main» component of the meal just isn’t there, then what’s the point. i tried my friend’s greek fries(which were also salty) its just fries sauteed in olive oil with garlic. really oily. made me feel gross after eating it. i feel like this place has so much potential and it can do good things as the food is cheap and there really arent that many places to get a good gyro/shawerma sandwich in the area. cause daphne’s doesnt count at all… and zonku’s is a bit too far. hope they work out the kinks.

SERVICE= HORRIBLE, no one seems to be happy about their job there. Everyone looks sooo drained. FOOD-delicious, especially the lentil soup on top of rice, it makes it really good! The meats are cooked perfectly and very delicious.

I’m amazed by all these bad reviews. I mean I’m giving this 4 stars for being a FASTFOOD. I went there today, I asked dozen of questions and the people working there patiently replied and let me even try everything. including a whole dolmeh for FREE. I got the plate. I would recommend the chicken shawerma over the chicken kabob. Next time i’m at the mall I’ll get the wrap or the toss option instead of the plate. The falafel was a bit TOODRY. but other than that. for a fastfood place. it was healthy and fast. and the chicken shawerma was actually decent.

PITAHOT is still king. Just saying. The quality of the meat might be a little better, but being stingy on the hummus(an extra dollar. REALLY?!) makes me think otherwise. OH yeah, your customer service could use an upgrade. or five.

We live near Brea Mall and love this kind of food… it took forever for them to finally open. What a huge dissapointment this place was. We know what things should taste like since we go to places like Zankou Chicken all the time. The hummus and babaganosh was watered down and tasteless. Portions very tiny. We were with three other people… none of them liked what they ate and they complained it was expensive for such small portions. The guys behind the counter did not help matters much… they did not seem to be enjoying their job at all. Maybe we will try this place again in six months to see if things improve… but I don’t think they will still be there.

Thinking«fast food», ChickPita is a pretty good place to eat… **YOUCAN’T COMPARETHISPLACETOBIGGERRESTAURANTS**… Food is decent BUT be careful of their«chicken kebob», its undercooked.(dangerous) They also rob you from the kebob, if you order a plate, they’ll give you 3 little pieces. Hummus is not bad(still thinking fast food status), rice is «so-so»…kids meal has very poor choices for sides, I wish they’d put a fruit side as an option, not all kids like hummus. Salad dressing tastes ok. Over all, prices and food are good maybe even a little better compared to most fast food places. I gave it 4 stars ONLY compared to other FASTFOOD restaurants.
