Good place to eat All you can eat variety of sushi & steamed crab legs. The price is really affordable too. Even they offer 10% coupon, Monday thru Thursday. You can find it on their official website. You don’t have to print it out. Just present or show your phone to the server when you ask a check to bring or they bring a check, then they will modify the bill. Enjoy:)

Well I don’t know where to start we went here for my daughter’s birthday the food is always great looks fresh and taste good but there are roaches people beware!!! I haven’t seen one in the food yet but they are all around when we walked in the front door there was a huge one about 2 inches long walk across the floor the waitress stepped on it while she looked up hoping no one was looking and all you heard was a loud POP!!! it was so disgusting oh my God I couldn’t eat after, did I eat? yes, but had to wait a few minutes I can only imagine what’s in the back yikes…

Used to come here often but when I tried to have a party here we called 4 weeks ahead and requested the more private side on the left side of the restaurant. Instead they split my party up in two different tables on the opposite side of the restaurant. Not coming back to say the least

Mix feelings with this mega buffet restaurant. Expect long waits and pushy patrons on weekends. Entire church could show up after the Sunday service. Pro: crab legs, fresh and not salty. Crawfish and oysters Con: place is so busy you might get overlooked for drink refills.

Came here for my for my sis Noelani’s stepsons graduation luncheon and was impressed by the food and room set-up for our BIG party of at least 100. The servers were all nice when we stopped them to ask for a refill or another set of cutlery and were constantly clearing tables for us, so I’d definitely recommend this place for a large, special get together. I believe this used to be Bobby Mc Gee’s which made me a little sad cause there were many a nights I tore up the dance floor looking for a man before Tinder existed. I did my research an hour before I got here and the common favorites were the avocado with crab meet(YUP!), crab legs, sashimi, and steak made to order at the Mongolian bbq. Didn’t try the crab legs, but saw they were there along with a bin full of crawfish. The sushi selection was plentiful and pretty and had A LOT of variations(see my pics/vids). I really liked the coconut shrimp and it was comparable to the one they sell at Panda Express. My favorite item though was the blueberries and black berries in the dessert section. I snacked on blackberries with vanilla soft serve ice cream most of the time I was there! #Antioxidants So final verdict, I’d say it’s even better than Hokkaido’s in Irvine! I’m Samoan and my parents LOVE Asian buffets and believe me when I say I know the standard when it comes to these type of buffets and Kyoto is a step or two above the others.

For the price($ 18.99 Dinner) and selection for an Asian buffet, it’s not that bad. They renovated the interior and the place fills up quick, especially on weekends. Expect about a 30 min wait after 6 pm. Selection ranges from sushi rolls, nigiri, seafood sides(oysters, shimp cocktail, etc), teppan station, roast beef, Chinese takeout-y foods(orange chicken, fried shimp, broccoli beef, green beans, etc) soups, fried American foods(pizza, fries, wings), dessert and fruit station. It’s worth it for the crab legs. Good place to go with a big group for a graduation dinner or family gathering if you don’t want to deal with splitting checks and/or waiting for everyone’s meals to come out.

Let me begin by saying that I think the price is fair, as in you are getting what you pay for. That’s not to say that I enjoyed coming here, and that’s what the 3 stars reflect. There’s a good amount of selections, but the quality of some items such as oysters are so terrible that you just can’t eat them. In fact I felt that there may be health concerns associated with the oysters because human tongue typically recognizes what we can eat and what we should avoid eating. Sashimi pieces did not taste good but I can’t complain because it would not be possible for us to expect fresh pieces at that price point. However it’s important to point out so that people don’t have expectations. As far as seafood goes, I would only eat the rolls they have, and focus on other available foods.

Came here for a graduation luncheon. The last time we came here it was for another party and was under another name. To our surprise, this buffet was actually pretty decent! Lunch is $ 12 and there’s a variety of Chinese, Japanese, Italian, American and Mongolian. We were in the private room for a party of about 30 guests. Our room was actually closest to the buffet. There was a mongolian noodle station where the chef cooks the noodles fresh for you. I opted to skip this station since I was already eyeing the sushi. This place has a wide variety of rolls, nigiri and sashimi. Don’t get the nigiri if you’re not going to eat the rice — supposedly they will charge extra if if you don’t the rice! The salmon sashimi was pretty tasty and thankfully I didn’t get sick off eating 6 large pieces. There was a pretty nice salad bar selection. My fave option in this area was the quarter size pieces of avocado with imitation crab. Wow, who would’ve thought? I also got the seafood soup, which was good. The other soups were hot and sour, clam chowder and miso, which I declined. Lots of options to also include fried shrimp, pizza, beef broccoli, oysters on the half shell, green beans, etc… There’s something for everyone. The dessert bar included soft serve ice cream, cookies and fruit. I was pretty excited about how fresh and large the fruits are. My fave had to be the kiwi, pears and lychee. They have their own parking lot so you don’t need to fight with mall parking. Service was pretty good considering a buffet and how large our party was. This is one of the better buffets I’ve been to in the LA county area. Clean and reasonable for the price.

This is better than any asian seafood buffet restaurants I had in LA County. I have been to Osaka in Glendale, Hacienda Heights, Kome and East in Rowland Heights, and Hokkaido in Burbank. This one tops them all. This place also used to be Osaka, but they were bad. Good thing they closed and Kyoto took over. Kyoto has more food selections, better and more attentive service than any of the one mentioned above, and also have more fresh and delicious tasty food. It is more expensive than the other asian seafood buffet in LA county, but I can see you get more quality with the higher price. If you want low prices and don’t mind quality and service, then go to East Buffet in Rowland Heights. If you want great food, better service, and not mind so much of the price, then come here. You will be satisfied at the end.

I love Asian buffet and I have try many place and so far this is the place to go. First of all they have more choice of rolls more than any other buffet I’ve been to and it’s fresh and taste good. Far as the items I enjoy such as crab leg, oyster, and season black bean clam are almost same as other buffet… okay this place taste little better than other buffet. Far as customer service all Asian buffet servers are same no personality… When it comes to any buffet I don’t expect too much on service. I’m just happy with when they bring me water.

Passed by this place for years, finally took a chance. We went in around 7:30 pm and it was packed. I put my name in and we sat down to wait. My daughter was entertained by the fish etc. I was patiently sitting awaiting our turn until some random guy decided he had to sit next to me although there was plenty of open seating. I was instantly punched in the nose with this guys .99 cent store cologne he must have dunked his whole body in before leaving his house. It was so pungent I couldn’t breathe and almost puked. I had to get up and sit right at the open front door. Although the place was packed we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. As said by others kids were running around, extremely loud etc but not a problem honestly. Everything looked good, smelled good, clean as could be considering the amount of people that were there. Not on tray had ¼ or a few items in it like some places leave until empty. Every tray had plenty of food. We hit the sushi first and pretty much took one piece of each. I cant complain honestly about the sushi for the price. Everything was good, not great but good. I headed to the Mongolian section and loaded up my plate. Pretty average selection and taste but I have to say the Steak was like butter. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. Reminded me of Kobe steak. Beautiful red meat marbleized throughout with thin fat. YUMMMMY! As far as service goes they lack big time. We were just short of tackling down someone for a refill. Our dirty plates stacked up like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Honestly for the price you cannot beat the deal and food. They were also pumping out the crab legs throughout service but we didn’t indulge. We’ll defiantly be back for dinner.

the food compare with price is good. the atmosphere is not perfect maybe because its busy all the time. Crab legs are the star of the show at this buffet. I most like the sushi bar its perfect. I think the serves there is very bad, I don’t like it at all.

Crab legs are the star of the show at this buffet. Yeah, I suppose they are the #1 item at all dinner buffets. Must admit their crab legs at Kyoto were better than average. There were plenty of sushi choices, but none of the ones I tried were anything special. Nothing tasted horrible. My favorite item here was their Frog Legs. Had never seen frog legs at any buffet place before. Was happily surprised to find them here, and I gobbled up lots of this delicacy. Aside from the frog legs, the papaya and other fruits were yummy. Very fresh selection of fruits. Dessert options were a complete disappointment! There was still 2 hours left before closing time, but they never refilled their empty trays! All that was left were crumbs! The few trays that had something left did not appeal to me at all! 1 star for that disappointment. Other than that, the experience at Kyoto was fine. I am certain that I will be back. My in-laws really like this restaurant.

Since I pass by this place on my way to work everyday, I decided to give it a try today on my day off, and honestly I am not too impressed, this is just a 2 star place. Got here around 11:30, there are already a good amount of customer, the dinning areas we were lead to seem dim, there were no windows at all, and I am really not a fan of restaurants without Windows, it just feels cramped not a nice atmosphere, maybe they did this purposely so no one will want to sit for a long time. They have sushi rolls and some cold dishes, there are shrimp cocktail and a salad bar which were pretty fresh. The Chinese hot food section had a pretty good selection of items including some dim sum items, however the taste were just mediocre unimpressive. I didn’t try the Mongolian BBQ, since I am not a fan. There is also a section of American affair such as French fries, pizza, chicken wings, BBQ ribs, but again the taste is mediocre. I liked the fresh fruit section, there was strawberries, cantaloupe, blueberries, papaya, grapes, pineapple, kiwi all very fresh and a few exotic fruits such as lychees, Asian pear that came in cans. Didn’t try the deserts they all looked too sweet however I had the soft serve and it was not bad. The service here was mediocre, in fact one of the server dropped the dirty dish on our table and didn’t apologize nor clean it up and just walked away, really ? The food must have lots of MSG, both me and my friend were still so thirsty even hours after Not impressed ! Although the price is reasonable $ 11.99 for lunch Monday to Friday, but that also reflects in the taste and overall dinning experience, I’d much rather pay more for better quality food and nice waiters that do not drop dirty dishes on your table. Would not go back again.

Definitely got what we paid for. The wait was about 30 – 40 minutes even though the lady said 15 – 20 minutes. There were a LOT of people on saturday. We went around 5:20 thinking we would beat the traffic but we were very wrong. Even after we put our names down, more and more people came in. It’s 18.99 per person the whole day on saturdays and sundays. The food was great. I wouldn’t recommend any of the stir fried or meats they have– it’s really not good. Just go for the sushi, sashimi and the crab legs!!! You have to wait for when the lady comes to drop them off so it’s warm and fresh. Paid around $ 73 with tip for three people. Enjoy!

Of course I didn’t expect the«gourmet» kind of food since it’s a buffet at the end, but I gotta it’s probably the best Asian buffet I’ve been to around this area! I had soooo many to choose… Even though I ended up mainly getting sushi, oyster, and other seafood as usual. Haha. But if you aren’t too much of a seafood person, there are definitely other selections to go for. Seriously, you turn around left and right and there are aisles of dishes! Inside was clean and our empty plates were picked up fairly quickly. I enjoyed the meal overall. I think pictures will explain more!

Everything served in this place is super fresh, and I loved that they had unique dishes I haven’t seen in other buffets before like jellyfish, crawfish, and all kinds of rolls. They also had the things that all Asian buffets typically have, hot and sour soup, crab legs, green beans, etc. Went here on a Saturday night for a 6 month old birthday party and apparently they do take reservations for 100 people. Our group was seated together around one part of the restaurant, and it was great that they still had about half of the restaurant for other folks. Also plenty of parking, which did not hurt. Definitely better than some of the Asian buffets I’ve had !

Best asian buffet in area. Everyone i brought here seem to love this place and want to take their family here. Decent sushi selection, they have a Mongolian grill and offer steak made to order. The best part is people dont fight over crab legs here. No one is hovering over the tray waiting for fresh ones to take the entire platter. However the girl counting money behind the counter has an attitude. But everyone else seems nice.

I don’t know whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. It’s one of those that are in between. In the end, I rounded down, because of the fact that their selection isn’t as much as other kinda similar buffets I’ve tried. So first I had Kome in Rowland Heights, then I moved on all the way to Kami in Monterey Park. Kyoto is the next. It’s similar but instead of being run by Chinese, they are more Japanese oriented! Prices are now $ 10.95 for lunch on M-Th! They are across the street from the Brea Mall in a singular plaza, almost by themselves lol. They have a small parking lot shared with doctor’s offices. After finding parking and getting a table, I walked around and readied the plate. Dessert– How dare I start with dessert! They have a great tiramisu. They have some papaya, watermelon, and other fruit, along with other desserts that I didn’t dare try: p American section– They had fries and egg rolls. I think they had 3 or 4 other things but I didn’t even look at it. The«Chinese» section– Sweet and sour fish was delish. Had great sauce. Clams were decent and had none of the black stuff that you hate to see. Mushrooms were good and were in a good sauce. They have 4 dim sum ‘trays’ but I skipped them all. They have some soups here as well, along with clam chowder. Noodle section– they make noodles here for you! Add your pork, noodles, vegetables, and tell the person/chef how much spiciness you want, and you’ll have your noodles done in 10 – 20 minutes, depending on how many people are there. Pretty good actually. Which leaves us with the last section, all the sushi. They have the sashimi(sweet egg, tuna, salmon, I believe it was octopus), along with the rolls, which you could choose. The sashimi was fresh and decent for a $ 10.95 place [less sketch that Kome and Kami, that is]. Kinda small, not as much selection(but still a decent amount) as other buffets. Will definitely have a line if you come after 12!!!
