This place is great! Doctors are pleasant and straight forward. My kids and I love it here. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. And the turn around time for new glasses is within a week.

Have been coming here ever since I started wearing glasses and that’s been for the past 8years because they’re great people, that’s why I drive 55 miles to see them.

I must say that I really like this place. The staff here are not just nice, but really knowledgeable. The optometrist there is really personable and she gave me good feedback on my eye examination. Also, their selection of prescription glasses are really good. I liked the variety of styles that were available.

I’ve recently moved to the area and was looking for a good eye doctor. This place is amazing. I’ve had 3 visits so far and have had the best experience. The front desk staff and doctors are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They carry all the brands I like. Both my contacts and glasses were ordered and ready for me in just a couple days. I’d highly recommend this place to friends and family.

They were able to squeeze me in even though I didn’t have an appointment and I was so grateful. My daughter had broken my glasses and I was desperate to get a new pair ASAP since I had to resort to squinting and hunching over my computer in order to get any work done without glasses. They were able to do the full exam and get my glasses ordered and to me within a week. it was the best optometry experience I’ve ever had

Would give them 10 stars out of 5. I love this place. First started coming here 10 years ago because I worked near by. Still come here (even tough I live in Chino), because of the amazing customer service and care. I do not have any serious eye problems. I wear reading glasses at work. So I really only need to come for my annual visit. Yet every time I visit the remember me. Not just my name because its in the system, but they ask me about my wife and kids. As well as other details they remember. Even came them in a hotel in Vegas and they recognized me… and still knew my name. If you want excellent care and amazing, outstanding, stupendous customer service, then Visual Effect is the place to go.

They make getting glasses easy and quick. From the moment you call to make an appointment to getting your glasses, the customer service is awesome. Stay away from the big name retailers and go here!

Let me add our names to all that have given 5 stars! The Doctors are professional and caring and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. When you leave there you know that you had a complete eye exam and all your questions answered. Daisy and Diana have a warm and easy manner about them even when you are trying on half the glasses in the place. My husband and I encourage you to put down your store bought readers and go here.
We should also mention that they excel at fitting the correct CONTACT LENS for your comfort and lifestyle.

My husband and I have been coming to Visual Effects for 5 years now and have seen both Dr. Dang and Dr. Nguyen throughout the years. The doctors and staff are really personable, friendly and knowledgeable and really take the time to explain things thoroughly. They have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses and Diana and Daisy are really helpful in suggesting frames that fit the shape of your face if you need help deciding.
My husband plays soccer and basketball so when it came time to deciding on whether LASIK was right for him, Dr. Dang took the time to explain the pros and cons of LASIK and referred him to a great surgeon. He was so happy with his results that he convinced me to get LASIK the following month! We went back to Visual Effects for all of our post-​LASIK follow-​up appointments and the doctors really helped me through some dry eye issues I experienced and were really helpful in explaining everything. Would definitely recommend them without hesitation!

I found Visual Effects Optometry over 8 years ago when I moved to Brea and so happy I did. The staff Diana and Daisy are friendly, helpful and always happy which makes it great to just stop by when ever Im in Downtown Brea. The office and lobby is always clean, organized and colorful. They have a great selection of perscription eyewear and sun glasses. Those are just a few reasons you should check them out.
The biggest reason to come are the optometrist. Dr Nguyen has been my optometrist for many years and when we changed our family health insurance to Kaiser I was sad to have to go to visit another eye care provider for bit. Every other doctor I met just wasnt the same. Both Dr Nguyen and Dr Dang care for the health of your eyes and quality of your vision and it shows. They have always answered any questions and helped with any eye problems me and my family has had. I came back to them because my eyes and my families eyes are very important, and to leave that to just a random doctor doesnt just isnt good.
Having to have needed glasses for the past 25+ years I had tried so many places, different Doctors and even LensCrafters or Costco when I didnt know better. As long as I live in California Visual Effects Optometry is where I am going for all my eye care needs.

My wife got me to switch to Visual Effects a few years back, and I’ve never been happier. Always great, friendly service. The doctors are great and the staff is amazing. They’re always willing to help out and make it easy to make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed here.

I thought I gave this place a review but I guess I didn’t. How could I not? This place is amazing. I’ve been going to this place for over five years now. I even convince my dad, mom, sister and now husband to come here and they are just as happy with the service as I am. Diana is the best! She is the epitome of excellent customer service. The doctors are awesome too. Very friendly and knowledgable. 5 stars hands down!

Our regular optometrist is on maternity leave and so we decided to come here. Optometrist here is awesome — professional, willing to share knowledge/​information, and he solved the curious case of my dry eyes!
The staff is fantastic. Excellent customer service. Our 1-​year old daughter came along with us and was wandering around and they were not annoyed … but loved on her. Thank you. We may be back!

I’ve been lagging on getting myself new glasses…
About 5 years to be exact.
One day, I was enjoying my ice cream while sitting by the movie theatre in down town Brea when I saw this store that I’ve always walked passed without thinking twice about it.
Unilocaled it… had GREAT reviews… decided to walk in and see what they had to offer.
The girl at the counter was so friendly, super helpful and very patient with me.
Decided to ask about walk ins, they were booked but had a sudden opening for an eye exam while I was looking at the glasses… so what did I do? Finally got my eyes checked.
Bad news — my eyes were worse… Good news — the exam was covered by my insurance. Yes!
At the end of my spontaneous visit, I only paid $ 200~ for Prada glasses, coated with the glare resistance thing including the eye exam.
I can see again!!!
