History

Established in 2015.

Jared Conques began training Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu under Tim Credeur in 2006 at the legendary Breaux Bridge Black Belt Academy. While this was not an official school (it was a makeshift academy located inside Credeur’s wife’s dance school), the teachings and legendary training sessions were intense and as real as it got for any group of practitioners at the time. The Black Belt Academy is still a thing of lore to this day.

Fast forward 2 years and Tim Credeur opened the flagship academy, Gladiators Academy of Lafayette. It was here that Jared’s jiu-​jitsu game and coaching abilities really began to take off. Completing numerous coaching courses and competing in prestigious tournaments, Jared was able to refine his Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu game to the level it is today.

Achieving all of his rank under Tim Credeur, Jared has remained passionate and steadfast about his calling as a Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu instructor. Welcome to Gladiators Academy of Breaux Bridge!

Jared is a Gracie Brazilian Jiu­Jitsu Brown Belt under 3^rd Degree Black Belt Tim Credeur. Jared was one of Tim Credeur’s first students in Louisiana and has been under his tutelage for since 2006.

Jared is a certified BJJ Revolution Team Instructor as well as an Alumni of the Freestyle Fighting Academy’s Instructor Training Program. He also has the distinction of being the Fall 2014 Brazilian Jiu­Jitsu Instructor of the Year at Gladiators Academy of Lafayette, as determined by his pupils. Being an active competitor on the regional BJJ circuit, Jared has graced the podium at numerous LBJJF, Fight to Win, New Breed and the prestigious IBJJF events.

Jared holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana and has been married to his wife, Mrs. Abby Meaux Conques, since 2012.

Despite his many accomplishments his passion remains teaching martial arts, and above all, being a husband, son, brother and friend.
