Breckenridge Cheese & Chocolate

This was by far our (my girlfriend and I, the guys went to the brewery) best experience in Breck. The Pinot Noir was one of the best we have had, we had a cheese plate with olives, hummus, and Salame. The portion sizes were great. We didn’t have room for chocolate, but it looked great. Great atmosphere with live music as well. We could have sat here all night. It’s hidden off of Main Street, but a great find! A great way to end the long weekend of activities.

Very happy with the generous cheese tray, can’t go wrong wine list and beautiful ambiance. Love wine? Do not miss spot. Spend an hour or two here to enjoy yourself fully. Well done!

This is a real find in Breckenridge. Cozy, interesting, live music on the weekends. Well curated wine list and great little store for interesting bottles to take home later. The service was wonderful — you could relax and enjoy he atmosphere, your wine, the magazines, and good snack accompaniments.
We had the Pinot flight and another flight of reds from the menu. We also got a cheese platter with olives. The size was well designed and the cheese options tasty. Coming here was a relaxing break.

Great selection of chocolates, cheeses and wines. The cheese comes out in sizable portions. We ordered the 3 cheese plate with hummus and extra olives. Our favorite cheese was the 12 months aged Gruyère from Switzerland. My wife got the Boomtown Syrah, which was the owner’s suggestion, and really enjoyed it. The olives and hummus were fantastic. We finished the experience off with chocolate truffles — caramel sea salt (the better of the two) & raspberry — and biscotti. Really great experience. Really friendly service. Made me want to become more of a cheese enthusiast.

Great place for wine flights or a glass (or two). We come here every year while staying in Breck. The owners are friendly and knowledgable. The wines they choose for flights are great and reasonably priced. Pair them with one of their cheese plates or delicious chocolates!

Absolutely love this place and the owners! We visit Breckenridge every summer and this is our must-​do (daily!). Great suggestions for wine and fantastic ambiance!

This place was epic! Great staff, excellent wine selection and the lady who served us (brown curlyish hair) was a sweet as could be! Going back before we leave back to California.

A fun experience, with knowledgeable proprietors as host. In the tasting room, we sampled from a hand picked wine selection and enjoyed ourselves.

Instead of offering specialty cheeses or making their chocolate, they offer items you can find in any gourmet grocery store (like the one a few blocks away), which was a disappointment. More of a grab a glass of wine and hang out kind of place.

Breckenridge Cheese & Chocolate is a Breckenridge Gem. Tucked off Main St. you’ll find the perfect setting for a nice glass of Wine, Cheese Platter, or snacks/​treats to take home. Next door is Ridge St. Wine if you’d like to grab a bottle, some beers, or a nice bottle of bourbon. Kenny, Anne, and Connie are fantastic and know their Cheese/​Chocolate/​Wine. We grabbed some fine European Cheese, Nita Crips to take back to the rental home and enjoyed our evening thoroughly. Awesome tables set out, a nice fireplace, and great shops around to check out. As new residents to Breckenridge, looking forward to many enjoyable evening sipping wines by the glass, or sampling flights. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

RUDE!!! My boyfriend and I (both 23) went there to enjoy a glass of wine and check out the chocolate. When we arrived there was no one downstairs but we could hear and see people upstairs. A women soon appeared and briefly informed up that wine by the bottle was sold downstairs and upstairs we could try some wines by the glass. When we got upstairs there were 4 – 5 tables with middle aged and older people filling each of them. Near the back was 12 bottle wine dispensing system, my boyfriend and I went over to see the wines when the women running the place came over and simply said «I need in there» then pushed through us both. We sat at a table that was opening up and she came over to pick up the glasses without acknowledging we were there. Then she hurried over to greet another table of ladies who looked to be in their early 40s. She then yelled down to some people who had just entered the shop that she would be right down (which she did not do when we entered). After hurrying by us to attend to the man who had just entered downstairs my boyfriend and I decided to leave because we hadn’t been served or even acknowledged in over 5 min and we had seen every other table and the people downstairs attended to. We left the shop without even a word from the women as we walked past her and out the door. We’ll never recommend this place and we’ll never return. I don’t support businesses who discriminate based on age.

Hidden right off the middle of Main Street, this is where I spend my afternoons in Breck. Downstairs there is a small but pretty amazing selection of cheese; I get Humboldt Fog every time but also really love the manchego. There are a ton of fancy chocolates, great for gifts (the whole family got stocking stuffers). You can also pick up crackers and spreads so you prefer dinner snacks or hostess gifts are all set.
Upstairs is a wine bar. A few tables and a great wine dispenser. A good selections of reds and whites that change regularly and you can purchase by the bottle next door. Live music twice a week. Must go!

If your into wine and cheese this place is a good choice but for a more inexperienced wine drinkers it would have been nice o get more description of the wines. But I was a happy girl cause they had a great Sparkling wine selection. They chocolates were also a nice delight.

A little diamond in the rough. Very laid back, soothing jams to set the mood framing a very relaxing atmosphere while you enjoy some tasty wine and cheese.
A bit hidden off main street but worth a visit for some wine by the glass and an eclectic selection of cheeses from around the world.

My Uncle took me here on my recent visit and I absolutely loved it. I tried the Pinot Noir flight along with 3 different cheeses, almonds and olives. Loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to come back and try a few more cheeses and wines.

After days of terrible apres ski snack and food experiences, we finally stumbled upon Breck Cheese & Wine on our last night. What an awesome surprise and experience! Not only was the wine and cheese selection solid, the service was knowledgeable and great, and the place was as cute as could be! The owner had great recommendations for other happy hour spots as well. I would go back here in a heartbeat and def recommend it to anyone heading to Breck!

Came here when I saw cheese and chocolate and thought to myself «hmmm sounds interesting» we decided on some glasses of wine and a three cheese plate. I had the Quarterback, a blend of Cabernet, Shiraz, and Merlot. Fantastic. GF had the Selbach «Incline» Rielsing. Very good as well. For the cheese we chose Humbolt Fog, Beenster Gouda, and the Mountain Gorgonzola. There may not be a wide selection, but I have to say what they do have is amazing. Ignore the one bad review. If you like cheese and wine, this place is a MUST. The chocolate choices are also interesting such as chocolate and bacon, chocolate and chili, chocolate and pear, and other choices. I have to say I had awesome service, and I have no complaints, the place is run by the owner and his wife, and they really make you feel like family. Definitely come give this place a try!

I remember walking into this place and not being too impressed. Neither the chocolate nor cheese selections were very big. I’ve been to stores that are not specialty shops that have had more varieties of high-​end cheeses and chocolates, and for cheaper. This place kind of just seemed like a novelty tourist trap.
I guess if you’re stranded in Breckenridge and need to get someone an impromptu generic dinner party gift, you can’t really go wrong here. Unless that person is lactose intolerant.

i also like their obscure types of chocolate, aka bacon chocolate, which reminds me of the episode of scrubs where turk gets brinner, and has bacon icecream, except i bet bacon chocolate totally rocks. i ended up with a few specialty chocolates (pretty, but also delicious), and a bar of lavender dark chocolate (again, kind of obscure, but totally as good as i would ever expect lavender chocolate to be, if not better!)
i did not buy cheese, as it was all way too intimidating to me. show me some bacon chocolate, i’m fine, but i’m a gouda, provolone, and cheese i can pronounce girl. it also smells kind of old-​cheese-​y in here, but i think it’s part of the character.
maybe i’ll hit the cheese books so i can make a cheese-​informed decision next time, and duh, try the bacon chocolate. seriously! this place rocks!
