Manicures & Pedicures By Mary Jo

You won’t find a better view while getting a pedi or mani. I am glad my hometown place was busy because thanks to fellow Unilocalers, I found Mary Jo. She wasn’t open so I called her. She was very accommodating and came to save my toes! Very relaxing — LOVED the foot wax and the scrub. Walk-​ins (or call-​ins) are welcome. Next time I am in Breck, she’ll be my 1^st call.

Mary Jo’s nail salon is warm and inviting. My friends and I stopped in for some mani and pedi’s. Mary Jo was friendly and professional. She introduced me to a parafin wax bath that was amazing. As out of towners, she also offered dining suggestions. And to top it off, she provided binoculars and a picturesque view of the ski hills so that we could live vicariously through others and not have to feel guilty about choosing manicures over skiing.

Called and made a very last minute appointment with Mary Jo for pedicures for two. She is such a sweetheart! Pleasant from start to finish.
Her establishment may be a little hard to find. Just look for it in the same building as the Swiss Haven restaurant (where they serve fondue!). She is on the third floor. If Mary Jo is running a few minutes behind, make sure you grab a glass of vino from Alfonso downstairs. Don’t worry, it’s cool as long as you bring back the glass.
What to expect when receiving a pedicure from Mary Jo:
1. Foot soak in a metal tub. (you will not find the big pedicure chairs with jets here)
2. A sugar scrub. Several scents to choose from.
3. Paraffin wax foot dip. HEAVEN!
4. A thorough application of polish.
5. Several minutes under the dryer. Gotta make sure they are super dry to put back on socks and boots!
My toes looked great and I loved the color! I read a few other reviews that said there wasn’t a good variety of nail polishes to choose from. I found quite the opposite! I had a hard time choosing. Plenty of reds, neutrals and even yellows!
Forgot to mention she did my pedicure and my friend’s simultaneously. Handled very well I might add!
The price is very ‘ski resort’ driven. You’re going to pay twice what you would normally at ‘home’. Sigh. I will say I felt like the paraffin dip made up some of that cost though and it was soooo needed since I was all dry from lack of humidity.

Called last minute for two pedicures and Mary Jo answered right away and got us scheduled in fast! She did a great job and was a super sweet!!! Would recommend her and will go back!!!

MaryJo was super sweet! She was personable and knew what she was doing. She gave us a lot of nail tips and did a great job and I would go again!

Mary Jo was very nice & accommodating! She was willing to stay late on a Saturday afternoon so that. My girl friends and I (5 in total) were all able to get a manicure or pedicure. We called earlier in the morning & were happy when she invited us to bring some wine and enjoy the pampering. While it is only her in the salon, she is sweet & did a wonderful job!

If I could give this lady a zero star review I would. I literally received the worst shellac manicure I’ve ever had. First, the way she did her manicures were completely backwards. She tried pushing back my cuticles after the polish was already on and she didn’t even clip the sides of my nails or cuticles when I asked her too. In the beginning, I asked for French and she didn’t even know how to shape the white tip. The white was chunky and didn’t even cover my tip. And to top it off she wanted to charge for a double coat when her product was the reason why it wouldn’t cover my tip! After about 30 minutes of her poorly trying to accomplish a French manicure I had to ask her to remove it and just do a regular polish. Overall anyone coming to Breckinridge wanting to get their nails done I would definitely steer away from here. Go somewhere else where they know what they’re doing!

Mary Jo gives a heavenly pedicure with a spectacular view of the mountains out her windows. My friend and I were able to get pedicures at the same time because she has two chairs. What a relaxing treat for my dry feet!!!

While Mary Jo was very nice I can’t recommend her services. My Shellac manicure was $ 55. There are corners of my nails that aren’t painted and you can see my tips. There was no hand massage or extra attention to detail given. It’s worth it to drive to Frisco Nails for better service at a great price.

I went for a manicure and pedicure while my husband and boys were playing in a tournament at Breckenridge Golf Club, I was thrilled when Mary Jo was open on Sunday and fit me right in to her schedule. The experience was relaxing with a great line of products to choose from, most memorably her polish line. It has been a week since my service and my natural nails and toes still look shiny and chip free! I will definitely go back and see Mary Jo when we are back in town.

My daughter and I had a great time at Mary Jo’s quaint little mountain view salon for mani & pedi’s. She’s professional and very personable! The paraffin treatment left us soft as ever so we’ll be back during our next visit!

Nice massage chairs with a wonderful view. She can be chatty if you want or quiet when you want to de-​stress and stare out her windows.
Great selection of colors. And my last manicure was a gel, which is two weeks old and still looks like it was done today.

Mrs Mary Jo was very accommodating. I was a walk-​in one early morning and she was able to take me in. Her room is quaint. She works by herself. She also has a beautiful view of the mountains. I love the paraffin wax treatment included in the manicure. Price was standard for a manicure — $ 35.

I called and set up an appointment for the next am. She was very friendly. The place is a little difficult to find. It’s on the third floor and in the back of the building. It’s really small and only one lady does the mani and pedis so this would not be good for a group. Mary Joe is very nice and it was a pleasant experience. 65 $ for a pedi is a little pricy but my overall experience was very positive!

Mary Jo was very nice. Warm and welcoming to us even though we made somewhat of a last-​minute appointment. Like others, though, I’d have to say that $ 65 was super pricey for this place. It’s not a luxurious spa or anything and we weren’t offered wine… I’m not sure why it’s so expensive. Also, there was some paint on my toes (not my toe nails). I’d totally recommend going here for a chill experience and to support local. Just know what you’re expectations are first.

What a wonderful find! Mary Jo gladly made an appointment for my daughter-​in-​love and my self for mani’s and pedi’s today. She is on the third floor of the Columbine Square building, sharing the floor with a salon. Her salon is small but comfortable with a great view of the mountains. She does not use pedicure chairs, rather massage chairs and cute old fashioned bowls with pebbles in the foot bath. Although she is the sole person, she easily accommodated both of us side-​by-​side. Surprise! She includes a paraffin dip for all mani’s and pedi’s which left us soft and supple!
Her prices are resort high but well worth it. Call first for an appointment and make time for this lovely salon!

Not the best manicure I’ve had especially for the price. There was no attention to detail which was odd given Mary Jo’s extensive experience in this line of work. I’m disappointed.
