Kitsap Appliance Repair

I truly wish I had checked a few online reviews before hiring David Weatherly and his sham of a company, Kitsap Appliance Repair. Shortly after Thanksgiving our dryer started squealing. It was clearly a belt but I didn’t think I had the time or energy to investigate it myself. I did a quick Google search for «appliance repair» in my area and found a few places. The only one available in a relatively quick time frame was Kitsap Appliance Repair. (In hindsight the quick appointment should have been a clue.)
David Weatherly showed up a day later (a Saturday no less!) and went to work quickly, taking apart the top of the dryer and explaining to me that indeed it was a belt and pulley mechanism that had worn out. He also set about vacuuming out the unit and when he was done he collected his $ 200+ repair fee and even pointed out his warranty on the work. THAT IS THE LAST I EVER HEARD FROM DAVID WEATHERLY!
About 5 – 6 weeks later the dryer started making the same squealing sounds, so my first response was to go dig up the repair paperwork and take advantage of the warranty period. I called, but I did not even get voicemail; the answering service at one of his two numbers was even disconnected. I emailed, but heard nothing back. A black hole. This was when I found the ubiquitous reviews of Kitsap Appliance Repair that made me realize I was yet another victim…
So I called another, more reputable appliance repair shop in Poulsbo and set up an appointment (which was unfortunately nearly 2 weeks away, but a busy repairman isn’t a bad sign obviously). When the new appointment day finally arrived, the new repairman pointed out everything that Mr David Weatherly did NOT do that he said he had. He did not vacuum out the dryer thoroughly. He did not replace the belts and pulleys that he indicated needed replacement. He had not even taken the fully dryer drum out of the unit in order to fully investigate the problem (s). So beyond dishonoring his warranty, he had lied to my face about pretty much everything he had «done» before taking my money.
HEED THIS WARNING: DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH KITSAP APPLIANCE REPAIR OR DAVID WEATHERLY. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Yikes! I’m stunned that I didn’t see all of the warnings before using this thief. At the time I was just shocked that he was willing to come to Bainbridge Island on such short notice. I’m just shocked that this guy was able to do this to so many people. Please Unilocal,let your powers of persuasion keep this scumbag from taking any more money from people.

I’m only giving this a single star just so I can post a review of this «business» doing business as an appliance repair service. Davi Weatherly, the owner, took our money and has yet to complete the promised repairs to our Maytag Neptune Electric Dryer. He refuses to return any phone calls to either of his phone numbers. I’ve tried o make an appointment using his online calendar only to have him ignore the promised appointment time. He did come by the house when I demanded that he return the controller board he took with him to «repair». Rather than speak with in person he just put the unrepaired part in our mailbox and then texted me of the mailbox drop off.
So be warned this service is a scam, luckily I only paid him $ 100 for the initial service call. He also may be doing business as «Ready 2 Repair».i

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I hired David Weatherly to come and fix my refrigerator which wasn’t getting cold enough. He spent and hour working on the hinge and then said he also needed to replace a relay on the compressor. He shook my hand on the way out and told me that his work was guaranteed for 90 days. The following week I noticed that the hinge was now beginning to rub and grind away paint and metal. I called and left him 3 messages, emailed him photos and spoke repeatedly with his answering service who told me that I have no other course of action but to leave him another message.

THIS ONE IS REALLY NOT A GOOD CHOICE… KEEP LOOKING! I went looking for a dryer repairman quick. I found this one who came the next day and made the squealing in my dryer stop (at least for a month!) I paid him by credit card, and strangely had a fraudulent charge appear on it the very next day. Not sure it was him, but after reading other posts… seems within the realm of possibility.
Called back when the dryer began squealing again only 1 month after first fix. No return calls. Tried emailing the email on my receipt – Email bounced. Looked online and found another email and sent generic service request (didn’t mention his previous service call) got a response email right away with a 2 hour window of service the next day. I sent him my address, and asked for confirmation of the appt. time. He confirmed. Then he NEVER SHOWED UP. I emailed 2 hours after the window… big surprise – no response.
There may not be many reviews for Kitsap Appliance Repair, but this person is also doing business under the name Ready 2 Repair. Same stories… different company name.
My advice… KEEP LOOKING!

This business is a scam. If i could give it a rating of no stars i would. It’s been almost a month since this guy came to my house to fix my oven. Took my $ 170.00 check and cashed it immediately after he left my house. Said he had to order parts and I haven’t seen him since! After many, many phone calls and many messages still nothing. He uses an answering service to make it seem like he has a receptionist and runs a legitimate business. This is not a legitimate business! He stole my money and bailed! I hope this post will save someone else from having the same experience I did! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

There is no integrity in this business. A repairman came out on Friday, charged me $ 260 to repair the refrigerator, which broke two hours later. Since it was the weekend I had to wait until Monday to call them back. When I called on Monday, I got a promise from one of the receptionist that they would be out that day. After waiting hours for a response for confirmation, and two phone calls later, I got a call from Sean, one of the owners, who told me they did not make any calls to Vashon until Wednesday and that he would call me first thing at 9 o’clock that Wednesday morning. It is now 11 o’clock Wednesday morning and I am still waiting for a call and no confirmation. I think I have given them ample time to make this problem right and so far have heard nothing. If this is the type of service they provide, I strongly recommend that anyone looking for an appliance repair not to use Kitsap Appliance Repair. They seem to have no interest in taking care of their customers, especially after receiving money.

Friends DO NOT use this service. Total Scam! This guy is a criminal. He came to my home, claimed to fix my frig and made it worse for $ 400. What a deal! 10 phone calls and two emails later… still no response. Check out Unilocal and google for similar testimonials! Stay away from this one.
