Sunrise Pest Management

I used Sunrise Pest to rid ourselves of of yellow jackets that moved in under our low deck by our sliding door. Sunrise scheduled a technician to show up quickly and at a time convenient to me. The technician explained the treatment and how long it would take for the bees to be gone. The bees are gone or dead. He also discussed some other areas they maybe vulnerable around my house that could enable other pests to damage my home. Overall a great experience with Sunrise Pest Control!

TERRIBLE COMPANY, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hired this company years ago to treat my subterranean termites in my 1890 home. They came in and drilled holes in the concrete floor and applied the treatment. After having worked with this company for several years, including a major treatment for subterranean termites, and having monthly and/​or quarterly scheduled maintenance service for several years, they suddenly stopped showing up to do the routine treatments. After not receiving an invoice for quite some time, I called them up and found out they hadn’t been out to my residence for three (3) years! That means my home is completely vulnerable and unprotected to these critters! When I called them and asked them what happened, they said their «system» changed and somehow dropped me. I explained that I was very disappointed at their seemingly non-​existent record-​keeping and tracking, and would like to get the bait stations restored and filled as soon as possible. They agreed to have someone come out on a Saturday (the only time I have available, due to work) and take care of me. When the technician arrived, he had no idea he was supposed to install and refill the bait stations and didn’t have any of the equipment with him, citing the dispatcher didn’t let him know. I called to reschedule it and set it up for the following weekend. Nobody showed up. At that point, I spoke to Alex, who was completely unable to do anything to help. I tried repeatedly to get an appointment for them to retain me as a customer. Following up on it a few weeks later, I was basically told that they don’t do Saturday service in Tacoma, and hadn’t for a long time. What? Mere weeks earlier, they were at my house on a Saturday. Then, when I finally agreed to have them over on my day off to do the install, they insisted I would have to pay the approx. $ 100 fee for the visit, despite the fact that the only reason they even needed to come out was that they had neglected my property for three (3) years! I argued that good customer service would be to want to get me back on board and paying and that $ 100 was a small price to pay for customer retention. Not to this company. I later spoke to Eric, the sales manager, and he was even less helpful, essentially telling me he wouldn’t take care of the situation they’d created, wouldn’t make it right, wouldn’t come on Saturday, wouldn’t waive the setup fee, and wouldn’t stick to a specific schedule, only «a 4 hour window» of time, forcing me to take a half day off from work, at the very least. Do yourself and your family a favor, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU… JUST YOUR WALLET!

Having used this company for years, I was SO disappointed at how unprofessional it has become. No managers available (not a good sign). They now charge hundreds of dollars for one type of ant. If another type of ant appears close to the time they treated, they want hundreds of dollars MORE
Warranty has changed dramatically. Not much covered anymore, as there are now so many loopholes. They don’t bother to tell you this, or prices on the phone, and let you believe you are covered under warranty. They then attempt to stick you with a second big bill upon arrival, even though you paid hundreds of $$$ to treat 2 weeks earlier.
Their tactics have become sneaky, and underhanded. Such a shame, as they used to be a good company. I’m guessing there has been a change in management or ownership, as it never used to be this way. Many other companies in this area to turn to besides this one, and recommend doing so. Sure can’t recommend this one anymore without being burned!

This happened during the summer of 2013. I searched on line, read reviews and called couple of places and when I called Sunrise Pest, I got connected to an older man named Jon. He was so nice, taking his time to explain all the different kind of ant problems, their cause, how they get rid of them, etc. I agreed to an appointment because Jon did a wonderful job explaining what they’ll do. I assumed if the staff was anything like Jon, I should have no problem. So, paying $ 208.51 for the first visit and another $ 96.65 for the followup was no problem, if it was going to deliver a good outcome.
The technician came the day before 4^th of July. He briefly explained and went around spraying the property. He later told me he skipped a room because someone was sleeping and also skipped the attached storage and furnace room attached to the building. When I asked him to spray the furnace and storage room, he said he’d needed to mix a new solution and if he didn’t use it all, it’d just be wasted over the long weekend. I understood he wanted to be cost effective but I had him promise to spray those areas on his followup visit.
Few weeks later (less than 2 weeks to be exact), he came for the follow up. First of all, he didn’t contact me for a follow up, instead made an appt directly with the tenants. I question if his intent was to have me not there to make things easier on him (my tenants were couple of kids). My tenants told me that he came, placed couple «gels» in the kitchen and left, when there was clearly an ant problem still present.
When I reached out to the office, Joel Weller replied saying it’s up to the technicians to use liquid or gel. that was all he said. When I asked what my option was now, they ignored me and didn’t reply back.
I can’t help but to think that they didn’t really care about me once they got my money and when I didn’t sign up for their long term care.
As a homeowner, I won’t be going back to Sunrise. As an insurance professional who gets calls from clients for referrals, I definitely won’t be referring my clients to Sunset.
FYI: Since they didn’t reply back, I took the matter into my own hands. did some research and was referred to a product sold at local stores… a bottle of this pellet designed for sugar ants at Lowes cost around $ 11 – 14. Sprinkled it around the property in August and problem solved. I’m sure Sunrise’s spray helped too but it is just sad that they couldn’t do a better job and get a better review.

We used Sunrise Pest Managemnet Bremerton for a general crawl space inspection for the first time this week. This company had been recommended by our neighbor across the street from us who had suddently noticed a major carpenter ant infestation.
Since we are surrounded by many more trees and vegetation than our neighbor I thought we should probably get an evalustion also. The young man who performed the evlauation was professional, personable and seemed quite knowlegeable. After his inspection, much to our relief, he reported no insect infestation and gave a general pest evaluation also. This company’s prices are very reasonable, considering that Orkin will only do an evaluation with a contract treatment plan onlyand gave me a phone estimate of $ 500.00 + first year. Sunrise (Bremeton) exceeded my expectations in integrity, knowledge and fairness of price. I highly recommend them.

We live on a farm up in the Olympic Nat’l Forest and as one might guess, we have pests — mice, carpenter ants and so on… in looking for a company to help us address the issues, my sister-​in-​law (she lives in Blyn below us) said she uses Sunrise and is on their All Pest Protection program and has no issues at all. We called them and they came out to look at the place and sprayed for the ants. Within a week, the issue was corrected– no more ants! Many months later, we noted mice had begun getting into the house and we decided to go on the APP plan — within a few days, all signs of mice, GONE! Sunrise has been excellent at follow-​ups and we’ve had no problems with them at all. We would recommend them without hesitation and are glad to have the APP plan, it really has stopped all our pest issues here at the house– and for being on a farm like we are, that says a lot!

I will never do business with this company again. They are not worthy of doing business with. They will rip you off and call you a liar. My wife dealt with them and they did nothing but lie to her. She called them to cancel an appointment and they told her «if you didn’t call and schedule your next appointment, no services will be performed» (we moved so thats why we didn’t call to schedule the next appointment) so they supposedly sprayed the house anyway and now trying to send us a bill (we don’t live there anymore). It is ridiculous, we have been lied to too many times by them. I would NEVER do business with them again. Avoid the headache and go to a different company.
