I found this place on Unilocal while I was looking up the best places to get Invisalign done locally. I’ve been to about 4 different Invisalign offices & the people here have been the most knowledgeable, sincere, & nice. on top of that, the office was super clean & comfortable. I’ve been quoted before that the duration of my Invisalign procedure would take 2+ years but Ackerman told me 7 months… I don’t know much about dentistry but I’m guessing it’s because they’re not out just for your money. Ackerman along with his entire staff were really cool & after 2 years of shopping for the right place to get Invisalign done at, we’ll be going through these guys.

For some reason, life seems a lot less stressful when you have a great dentist. We finally found that peace of mind here. So grateful!

BEST DENTISTS EVER! I always have a great experience at this office. They always remember my name when I go in and remember conversations we had from previous visits. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The staff are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting and I always recommend them to all of the people I know.

I had a really great dentist growing up, but now that i am older it was time to move on to another dentist also because my insurance had changed. i went to one on hillcrest in antioch and i absolutely hated it. Every single thing about that place was horrible. So there for i hadnt gone to the dentist in about 5 years. Finally i thought it was time to really buckle down and start looking for a good dentist. My friend recommended that i go see Dr Ackerman & let me tell you my experience there was wonderful! Dr ackerman and his staff are absolutely sweethearts. Dr Ackerman really put into detail what he’s going to be doing and what needs to be done. When you walk in the door the staff really give you that warming welcome. If you are looking for a great Dentist I suggest you go see Dr Ackerman.

I had my first appointment with this dentist office yesterday. All I can say is YAHOO! Seriously, it was a pretty awesome experience. First, the gal who took my xrays was really super nice and quick (these are always awkward!). Then Dr. Ackerman came over to talk with me about my xrays. He went over every single little detail he saw. He explained why flossing was important, and how he could tell I wasn’t a regular flosser. He noticed a few things that no dentist had ever pointed out to me before, which is important because it turns out I have been grinding my teeth at night. I had been to a dentist a few months prior (when I had no insurance) and was advised that I needed a root canal and a crown. I ALMOST paid the $ 900 they were going to charge me for a root canal, but luckily I held off. Dr. Ackerman said I did NOT need a root canal, just a simple filling would fix my problem. He addressed my anxiety issues and assured me that I could relax. He seems like a very genuine man. I then had my teeth cleaned by an angel. I can’t remember her name though! I decided to speak up about a few things before we started: «These front teeth are VERY sensitive, and please don’t make me close my mouth around the sucky thingy; it freaks me out.» She said «Ok!». Even gave me a topical numbing gel for my gums. She was gentle and kind and I just loved her! I will be back soon to get my fillings taken care of and I am sure I will be well taken care of. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I had bad experiences with another dentist in the area, and were on the hunt for someone that could be our family dentist for years and years to come (so much harder than it seems!). We were SO impressed and pleased with this place. The staff was wonderful, and there was very minimal wait time. We both had Dr. Towson go over our x rays and he was so good at explaining everything to us and had wonderful bedside manner. We will definitely be coming back!

This is the best dentist. I had an emergency that required a root canal and crown. I was traveling and needed it taken care of asap. I was in so much pain. From the moment their office staff answered the phone to leaving the next day with a new crown I was treated with so much kindness and attention. Dr. Ackerman was calm and kind. He arranged the root canal at Dr. Dobbins, (who was also phenomenal) and took care of all the details. I think the best part was his taking the time to listen to me. Nothing was rushed. He genuinely cares about people. It is the same with his office staff. They listen and then go to work to take care of anything from insurance, to scheduling, to offering a Motrin. I felt like I was in kind and caring hands the whole time. My crown looks great! Thanks!

Just left Ackerman and Towsons Dentist office. The office is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. The Staff is amazing, friendly, and genuinely care. Specifically Norma and Dr. Towson are always available to answer any questions and an encouraging word. If you are looking for an excellent Dental Office this is it!

He is very pleasant and will explain everything as you go and help you decide the best treatment plan for you and your budget.. His office is beautiful and technology is state of the art. I trust him with all my family dental needs.

Dr. Ackerman and Dr. Towson are great dentists! My daughter is going to them for orthodonture and it is going so well. The front office staff is friendly and kind and the assistants are gentle and good at what they do The office is beautiful and Drs. Ackerman and Towson are wonderful. I recommend this dental office to anyone looking for a dentist in the Antioch/​Oakley/​Brentwood area.

Today was my first trip to the dentest in over 12 years. I seen Doctor Eric Towson who is an excellent dentist and everyone in the staff was very nice. Dr Towson was very thorough, and explained everything to me. I didn’t even have to ask and he showed me my x rays on a screen and explained them to me. I’ll most definitely come back and recommend him to my friends. The reason I have not seen a dentist in over 12 years is because I have had very bad experiences with other dentist who wanted to fix cavities that did not exist. Doctor Towson is different he was honest and explained everything. Turns out my teeth are still healthy, no cavities

We (my husband, myself and our 3 children) have been patients of Kevin Ackerman for about 20 years now! He has been an amazing dentist. I love his honesty and integrity. I have always been 100% satisfied with his work and after years of braces my kids who are now grown have beautiful smiles!!! Thanks Kevin you’re the best!!!

when i faced some pain i went to Unilocal looking for the closest dentist who wont make me suffer and be in pain since i am new to this city. Dr Ackerman & Towson showed up at the top of the list and lots of people expressing how good they are and they wont let you feel any pain that you might face from the regular dentist so i thought of calling the clinic and took an appointment.
I visited Dr Eric Towson for some infection i had in my lower jaw and he was incredible with treating me. He gave me the right amount of medicine and painkillers that suits my condition and after the inflammation calmed, i went for the treatment which was extraction of a tooth in my lower jaw, now let me tell you how made me wanting to visit him again and make him my only dentist!
When he wrote me a prescription, i told them i don’t have health insurance so they’re clinic deals with a nearby pharmacy which they called the pharmacy themselves to get my medicines arranges, i dont remember how much the visit costed me (around $ 120 or less i cant really remember!) and that’s decent for Xray and the session.
After a week when i had to come back again for the extraction, it took an hour which he got to calm me down and the helping nurse was also extremely nice and friendly. He wouldnt go further if i told him i feel some pain, he made sure to numb the area well and add more if i felt anything! he made sure i feel comfortable and good without feeling any pain.
i loved the fact he was explaining everything before he work instead of «OH LET ME DO MY WORK» kind of Dr! he also have a personality that calms and will make the patient feels less nervous about the visit and more relaxed for the treatment.
I know i wrote along review but i really want to deliver the best review as my experience was and was bragging about how i have a really good dentist now that i’m not afraid to go to instead i want to be regular patient because of the great treatment i received !

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Towson! He is the BEST! I will never go to another Dentist. His staff is very caring and welcoming. Dr. Towson is also very caring and welcoming. He took such good care of me when I had to have major work done. I have been to several places and never felt the caring, compassion that I got from Dr. Towson and his staff! 5 stars is not enough to give!

My husband hates to go to the dentist. So, when I suggested he go and see Dr. Towson he was a little apprehensive. When he returned from his visit with Dr. Towson he was very please with the experience he had. My husband appreciated the information Dr. Towson gave him on the condition his teeth were in and suggestion on when he needed to address some of his issues.
Dr. Towson and his staff are professional and care about you and your teeth.

Dr. Towson knows his stuff! I feel completely confident that he’s giving me honest feedback on my teeth. He gives me tips on how to keep my mouth healthy and clean (my mom would be proud, still no cavities).

Love this office… Great gentle and not aggressive dentistry. The whole staff cares and hygienist’s are gentle and great with cleanings. They made my crown in one visit how cool is that?

I have had good experiences here. Dr. Towson and Dr. Ackerman are both talented. They are really the best. When my insurance changed and they were no longer in my network I decided it was worth it to still go here.
I like that they take the time to explain EVERYTHING if you want to know. From cleanings to crowns is what I have had here. They made my crown in one day in their office. Cannot recommend any higher.
