Love Jennifer… she is so helpful with my troublesome skin! She’s very informed and willing to help with any skin issues. I’m African-American and besides the obvious color our skin is different. Jen has helped me learn so much about my skin in the 3 months I been receiving Microderm treatments. My skin is much softer and cleaner. She’s very personable and great to talk to…

I purchased a Sharing Spree to have a mani/pedi with Monica. This place is a little hidden over by the Sonic in Brentwood, but once you find it, it’s easy to park, etc. Overall, the quality of the mani/pedi was good and lasted a long time. However, it took several weeks to get an appointment and when I arrived a few minutes late, she didn’t seem happy with me. She was not very talkative, which could be a good thing if you’re looking for a quiet, read-a-magazine, type outing. Overall, pleasant experience.

My husband gave me a gift certificate for Brentwood Salon & Day Spa, and I finally got around to using it. The spa offers many services, such as nail, facial, massage and waxing. I used my gift to get a manicure and pedicure. My appointment was with Mikesha, and let me tell you, she earned her money! If I don’t have to be in shoes, I’m not. So, you can imagine how tough my feet were. Well, that teeny little lady has got some muscle! She worked and worked on them until they were nice and smooth. Then, after hearing about a fantastic new polish called Shellac, I decided to go for it. This polish is ‘da bomb’…you can’t smudge it, people! Impossible! And, believe me, if anyone was to smudge it, it would be me. I normally keep my toes painted red(since I am barefoot all the time at home, and outside around my house). But, I don’t usually bother with my fingernails because they’ll just end up chipped or smudged in no time and be a big eyesore. Uh, no thanks! But, after hearing about the shellac and being promised there was no way for me to mess it up, I decided to actually have some color put on my fingernails too. Yep, sometimes in life ya just gotta walk on the wild side. And, I’m kinda likin’ it over here on the wild side. So far, so GREAT on the polish! The facility was interesting. Unlike any spa I’d been to before. For one, it was silent back in the pedicure room, and most anywhere in there really. Silent, other than the whirling water around my feet. I don’t think I ever have just pure silence in my life… of sitting and listening to nothing. I knew I wouldn’t miss the blaring of a radio station, as you many times hear at a hair salon. And, at first I assumed I would miss the usual environmental sounds of a spa, but I ended up just really enjoying the peace and quiet. It was odd to me. It was different. But, sometimes different is good.
