Creative curbs did an awesome job called him up for an estimate he then showed up 15 minutes later very fair price. They showed up on time and did a very professional job !!! Highly recommend. The mow stip looks terrific. Thanks Daryl

I called Carl to get an estimate on landscaping my new backyard. He said he would come over the following day at 9:30am, he still hasn’t shown up 2 days later, and has not returned my call. I’m feeling pretty frustrated as this seems to be «normal» behavior for contractors in this area.

We’ve been wanting to add a border around our lawn for quite some time, now, but had assumed we couldn’t afford it. We were also hesitant because of thinking it’d disrupt our busy schedule with it taking days and days to have done. Now, after having done it? –We’re wishing we’d called Carl at Creative Curbs YEARS ago!
I made the call, he immediately scheduled a time to come out at my earliest convenience, gave us a VERY fair estimate, then quickly and cleanly installed the curb TO OUR LIKING! The process is such that you can make adjustments along the way, so there was absolutely NO worries that we wouldn’t wind up with exactly what we wanted. I was so happy with the way it was going, that I wanted to add a bit more to the job. He gave me the quote before the work was done. He specifically said that he would not surprise me with any additional charges at the end of the job. He kept his word.
Carl is a quiet, professional man who wants to make sure you’re happy beFORE he leaves. His assistant, James, was just as friendly and professional and made sure that there was no mess left behind.
We’re enjoying our beautiful back yard more than ever now. Thanks for a job well done, Carl.

We needed to hire someone to replace our front lawn and sprinklers. We submitted our information via Service Magic and Carl quickly called us to set an appointment for a consultation. He came over the very next day (Sunday) for the scheduled consultation. He was diligent in answering all of our questions. Took his time to measure the lawn. He left stating he would be able to provide a quote to us the next day late in the afternoon.
As of Tuesday morning, my fiancée nor I had heard from Carl. No phone call. No email. Nothing! So, I took it upon myself to call him and remind him that I needed the quote. During that message, I again left our email address and phone number.
Today is Thursday and again we have heard nothing. So, as the old saying goes if you snooze you lose. Don’t be diligent to set an appointment for a consultation and then not be the same when it comes time to submit a quote. At this point, we wouldn’t hire him. I think it says a lot about a company if they can’t follow up in a timely manner. How do I know the job would be timely or professional?
Also, a word of advice. Do not waste your time giving consultations if you aren’t going to pursue the job. Afterall, the job is what pays for your time including the consultation.
At the very least, return a call. It’s professional.

My wife and I hired Carl to put in a new lawn and add a high/​low curb in our backyard. He gave us great ideas for designs and was super easy to work with. We added a wire gopher barrier on the lawn, which Brian installed very well. We also had them put new bark in, add some rock in the side yard, and install all new sprinklers. Here’s what we really appreciated:
1. Carl NEVER surprised us on prices. He always drafted an updated contract if we wanted to add anything to the project. He never raised prices. He never delayed anything.
2. He recommended a good guy to build some huge planter boxes and 2 fences. They both coordinated their work very well.
3. Carl spotted a drainage problem on the side yard and repaired it, saving us lots of headaches down the road.
4. Whenever we needed anything, Carl is usually over that same day. I called him on a holiday for advice on a pipe leak. He actually came over that same day!
5. Carl has come by a few times to repair a few sprinklers I damaged and he refuses to let us pay him for his time or for parts. He comes by the same day.
6. When he was in our neighborhood with another job, he stopped by to see how our yard was doing.
Great work, great rates, and very professional. Highly recommended! When we get our front yard re-​done, we’ll definitely give him a call!

We hired Carl to complete a backyard makeover project that included installing approximately 400 sq feet of sod, fixing irrigation lines that my friends had installed incorrectly, installation of sprinkler heads, and a 22 foot decorative curb.
Carl and Brian were very nice and accommodating to our work schedules during the project. The decorative curb is my favorite part of the project and looks great next to the beautiful new grass. (Our backyard used to be a large dirt pit that was a complete eyesore)
We are very satisfied with the work that was done by Carl and would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of landscape design.

Carl did a great job landscaping my yard. I had sprinker work done, a mow strip installed, new sod planted, and two trees planted. He completed the job on schedule and stayed within the costs projected on our contract. He checked in with us all the time to ensure the job was moving right along and that we were pleased with the results. Once the job was finished, he made sure everything was working properly, and even went above and beyond to run to the hardware store and replace my broken sprinkler timer and rewire the zones to ensure the system was running perfectly. This after the end of a long day for him when I’m sure he was exhausted and ready to go home! Carl’s partner was hard working and kind and very knowledgeable about landscaping. They were a pleasure to have around… always cleaning up at the end of the day, and so accommodating and polite. I plan to use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing any landscaping or irrigation work done.

Beware! Carl came by and gave me a quote. It was a reasonable price, but then the trouble came. He raised the price on me because of the color I choose (which I was OK with) and then delayed the project for a month. At first it was because the color hadn’t arrived yet, and then one weekend he just didn’t show up. We rescheduled an appointment and I confirmed with him two days prior. The day of the appointment he called and said he couldn’t do the job. Don’t trust this guy… guys like him give contractors a bad name. Wasted a month+ of my time.
