I’ve been tinkering with cars since is I was a kid, with my dad.

Then at age 23, enrolled in Sequoia Institute in Fremont Ca, finishing the complete Automotive program with honors in advanced and strategic diagnosis.

I started my career in Danville Ca, at Danville Service center with owner Trevor.

Then moved to Livermore Honda, Subaru and Audi as a entry level lube technician.

After 1 yr, I was starting my factory traning with Audi of America in the Fast Track Program and became the Audi shop foreman within 2 years, after 7 yrs of hard work, traning and self studies, became what is known as an Audi Master Guild technician.

Then in 2007 decided the Brentwood Area needed a one off Audi and VW dealership alternative.

After 7 yrs in business we cater to Audi, Vw, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Range Rover, etc.

My staff takes pride in all repairs minor to major. With added value and standards that no one in Brentwood shares.

Freddie and his team do an jncredible job… i won’t take my A3 anywhere else. He is honest, ethical, flexible and a great mechanic. If you’re looking for a mechanic for your European car Freddie is the best in the business, he even worked on my wife’s Honda Pilot.

Can’t say enough about Freddy and his staff. We had quite a fiasco with our 2009 Mini Cooper (involving instance… Oye) Freddy was nothing but patient and professional in dealing with our mess. He kept us informed every step of the way and did not hesitate to give us every piece of information we needed to make an informed decision. Thanks Freddy!

Go to the dealership atleast they won’t be as rude like this prick and you can always hold them accountable for performing work on your, european cars. He comes across as a nice guy, when you first meet him and he changes on you the 2nd and 3rd time. I think he’s under some type off wrong medication, his mood is never stable. Also he is over priced, the only reason he is in business, because he is the only one around town. He is always yelling at his customer service desk ladies, putting them down. It’s really sad too see how he puts them down. He no longer has my business. Please do not give him your business or support his bad attitude towards people and customers. If you don’t believe this Unilocal,please sit in his waiting room and observe, how he treats his front desk ladies and how he talks on the phone with customers.

I’ve been taking my Audi A4 to Freddie since I bought it from East Bay BMW almost 5 years ago. He is the only one that has worked on the car for me, and there is a reason why. When I bought the car he had the best reviews, despite some negative reviews and comments.
The entire time that I have dealt with Freddie, and his crew, I have received excellent customer service. He doesn’t sugar coat any problems, is very straight forward about diagnostics, potential issues, repair costs, and timelines. Like everything else in life, when issues arise or change, he is quick to advise me on the situation.
Freddie has done a major service, regular oil changes, as well as taken my emails and call in times of emergency, in the middle of commuting! His skills and achievements as an Audi master mechanic are indispensable, and I appreciate my car being serviced by a knowledgeable mechanic.
As far as his costs go, let me say two things. 1) You get what you get what you pay for. With him you get a master mechanic with in-​n-​out experience on your vehicle. 2) You own an European car! Don’t buy an Audi or BMW or a Porsche, and expect to pay rock bottom bargain prices.
Freddie is the man, and you won’t be disappointed with his shop or service!

I came to Freddie here after being quoted an insane price at the Audi dealer for service on my A8. I got a very reasonable quote and appointment here within a couple days. Freddie was also very responsive to all my questions I asked through Unilocal,which was awesome.
Just took my car in today, and couldn’t be happier. All work was explained in thorough detail, and completed for much cheaper than what I would have paid at the dealer.
Really professional setup, nice waiting area with model Audis and VWs lining the walls.
The little details like seat covers and temporary floor mats while working on your car are also a nice touch. Thanks!

Thanks Freddie for looking at my car. I read some reviews on here says he’s rude he was very nice and professional even tho he had to tell me my Audi needed 3k worth of work. It hurts but the truth is the truth. Now just time to decide if I want to dump more money into it. I also have a Porsche and I would go back to him again great service. If you go here and own a European car atleast you know this shop is trained to work on your car.

First impression to the last these are top notch people. Great customer service and they follow through when they say they’re going to do something. They have excellent communication, they always keep me updated on my car and call me before they do anything. This is definitely not a place that will just «throw parts» at a car to figure out the problem. I highly recommend them!

Wow. I called and spoke to Freddie about a 89 Caprice Classic. I stated asking questions and he began talking over me. Then his voice was raised and he yelled“What do you mean warranty. It’s an ’89. It don’t have no fu**ing warranty!”
I wouldn’t take that car from him if he gave it to me. I guess that’s what making a lot of money does to some people. Amazing.

Serious attitude problem and outrageous fees!
While my car was there in their shop, I shopped around for the same battery and service charge. I found someone that would do it for ½ the cost!!! So, when I went to get my car, I told Freddie about it, and said I won’t bring my car back based on his blown up fees. He went ballistic! He jumped up, told the mechanics to take the battery out of the car and said he didn’t want to deal with me. I said, put that battery in, I will just not come back. Again, he got extremely irate and I said ok, we can have the police work this out! As soon as I said that, he put the battery in. I will never deal with such an unprofessional person again, and I suggest you shop around for a better deal, especially women! As a single parent, I often fear situations where mechanics take advantage of us (and guys). I’m from San Jose, and as expensive as things can be there, Freddie charged way more for services (including past services). I am completely dissatisfied with his business, but probably more important was his attitude.

Very honest and fair place to take your vehicle for service or repair. Freddie and his crew are extremely knowledgeable. Every time I am in they explain what’s going on and the price is always extremely reasonable. Always there to answer my questions. Highly recommend this shop to anyone!!!

I have a 2006 BMW 325i, and was looking for a local mechanic to do a routine oil change. I called ECEA after reading all their positive reviews on Unilocal,and was able to get an appointment the very next day. While they specialize in Audi and Volkswagen, they were very knowledgeable about BMWs as well.
Freddy and his staff were very transparent with me about the work that needed to be done on my car. With the oil change, they topped off all fluids and even checked my brakes. I was notified of a slight oil leak, and that my back brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. They gave me quotes for the work and didn’t pressure me to have the work done with them.
In my opinion, signs of a good mechanic are good work in a timely manner, transparency and being detail oriented. ECEA definitely met those standards, and I’d happily bring my car in for future service.

Freddie came through for us when we really needed him. My daughter was home for a few days from college with her 03 passat. She had some misfire codes come up… Freddie knows these cars well and knew it might not be the obvious problem and did a little detective work and figured out what was wrong — and it was an pretty inexpensive fix (I was afraid it would be a valve adjustment or something bigger?) anyways he needed an extra day to get parts, but my daughter had to drive back to southern CA the next day. He went out of his way to have someone bring him the part, and went the extra mile to get it done in time! Gotta say, we were happy and impressed. I will be bringing her car back when she needs it.

Well the guy may be a good guy but he tried to charge me double what two other shops have quoted me while waiting for the diagnosis which cost me $ 90.
I needed a water pump on my passat so I took it there afer reading the Unilocal reviewes.
He asked for $ 90 for diagnosis which he said will apply towards the cost of the repairs if I decide to repair it there !!! a nice catch…
While waiting, I decided to call two other auto shops I know in Brentwood, Auto imports and Brentwood Tire company… The last one gave me an estimate for half the amount that he told me later and they do not charge for diagnosis…
When I told him that, he got angry and gave me the keys and told me to go there!!!
I took it there and had the repair done and the car works great…

Freddie is very knowledgeable (Hes a certified Master Tech) and runs a great shop!
He actually reached out to me when I needed help and gave me a very fair price for the work he did on my Audi. The best part is Freddie can relate to you on almost every issue you can think of with our cars and follow up with the proper solution to fix it.
Most shops are also wary to let customers into their workspace, but Freddie was more than willing to let me watch and chat while he diagnosed and fixed my specific problems.
I definatley recommend him for any diagnostic, repair or maintenance work you may have and will be returning to him myself in the future.

I can’t believe I haven’t Unilocaled East County European Autoworks! I used to get my 2003 Audi serviced at Livermore Audi (which I thought was far already since I lived in Burlingame) and I knew Freddie since back then. He always took care of my car. I’ve been meaning to bring my car to Freddie after he opened his own shop, but just thought he was too far. For the last couple years, I ended up bringing my Audi to other shops and now I wish I can turn back time and just go to Freddie from the get go.
I brought my car to Freddie and gave him my laundry list of issues, some of which gave us/​him a good laugh, but he was able to service my car that same day in a couple hours. My husband and I just went to breakfast and then to REI and my car was done.
I now live in San Jose and I’m one of many Audi enthusiasts that has made the drive to Brentwood just to have Freddie fix my car. He’s worth the drive, especially on the major services. I’ll see him again for my timing belt and water pump and I know my car is in good hands with him. Honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy seem to be the theme with his other Unilocal Reviews. That should tell you something.

Freddie rocks! He worked on my Audi for years at the Livermore Audi dealership, and always went out of my way to make sure it was him that worked on my car, and when he opened his own shop in Brentwood, I knew I would keep going to him!
He is fair and honest, and if he says something is wrong and needs to fixed — it does. He won’t do more than is necessary and his pricing is great. I just picked my car up from him after having a problem with vibration that numerous other visits to another shop couldn’t fix. He not only took care of picking up the parts for me (twice, since they were wrong the first time!) but getting my car back to being a pleasure to drive.

The ONLY mechanic I trust. I do most work on my car myself, but for something I am stumped on, or just don’t want to do, Freddie is the only one I call. He has seen my car a few times, and he REALLY knows his stuff (see his wall with certs from Audi), has some great stories about working on Audi’s, and has had great experience working on VW/Audi’s (and maybe others, but honestly not sure).
Forget about every one else. Freddie is prompt to respond to emails and calls, and has always been willing to help out, customer satisfaction seems to be the highest priority to him, more so than most businesses of any sort these days…
No, he is not the cheapest mechanic you can find, but his prices are very fair and very well worth the peace of mind that comes with knowing the job has been done right. And remember, Freddie specializes in these cars, you can’t beat that! And when a part is needed, you can rest assured it will be a quality part, not a cheaper knockoff. And he won’t try and sell you things you don’t need just to «pad the bill». He is honest.
My bottom line: My Audi will NEVER see a mechanic other than Freddie and East County European.
