History

Established in 2000.

Michael Vines established Structural Engineering & Inspections in 2000 to provide structural engineering and building science services to the residential community in the Middle Tennessee area. Since that time we have worked with thousands of homeowners, home builders, renovation contractors, architects and real estate professionals. Our staff has assisted in evaluating suspected structural damage or deficiencies, reviewed framing for compliance with local building code requirements, designed structural framing and foundations for renovations and new construction and evaluated water infiltration problems for residential structures.

SE&I was established to fulfill the need for professional and ethical consulting service in the growing housing market. Our goal has always been to raise the standard of care for residential engineering consulting services, and to bring a level of service that is common in commercial consulting and design to the residential market.

For over two decades, Michael Vines has been providing structural engineering services to clients across the south. He has striven to provide excellent and knowledgeable services throughout his engineering career. You will discover that he is passionate and dedicated to the engineering field. This passion began at an early age.

Engineering continues to be Vines’ passion. It has allowed him to meet some wonderful people along the way. «I’m proud of our company, SE&I. We strive to have loyal employees with integrity and passion for what they do,» states Vines. He goes on to say, «My engineering career has been so much more than I ever dreamed it would be. It has taken me on an amazing journey.»
