As a man who cares about his hair, finding a good barber is harder and more important than finding a good dentist. I found this shop on Unilocal initially and was rather reluctant to go due to some cultural issues and reservations that were implanted in my primordial way of thinking. This reservations were shattered in spades upon my first visit. No matter what your hair style, type, or even ethnicity is, you will not be disappointed. The barbers and stylists here are hands down, bar none the nicest people you will ever meet. The conversation is never lacking and makes you forget that you have been getting your haircut for 30 minutes so far– that’s because they put the absolute finish on your head. Thorough is not the word to cover it — you will leave with a brand new head. After your first visit, believe me you will not search for another barber unless you move out of the state. Finally, southern Connecticut has a barbershop with a perfect amalgamation of old and new school charm — for a great price and and experience give them a go.

New Creation’s is a barbershop/hairstyle salon right of the I-95 exit 28 on East Main Street. This part of town has been hit hard by the Tornado in 2010, but New Creation’s was able to keep her doors open. The shop is spacious and has many stations. What I personally love about this place is the atmosphere. Gospel music plays in the background, and the plasma screens show sport channels. A good place to get a clean cut, and you don’t have to be afraid when you take your kids that they will be exposed to profanity. For less than $ 20.00 you walk out of the door fresh & clean… and had a good time with a team of friendly barbers, and hair-stylers. Sunday, April 3, 2011 they will have a Breast Cancer Awareness Day and you can show your support by getting a haircut(Men $ 2& Women $ 10) starting at 10am.
