History
Established in 1952.
George and Evelyn Nugent started High Sierra Bakery in Bridgeport in 1952. It is now run by the third generation baker, Steve Nugent and his wife Mollie. We pride ourselves on the family tradition, recipes handed down through the generations, along with new specialties like beautiful, locally roasted coffee and espresso and made to order sandwiches and salads. Come on down!

Steve grew up learning his trade in the bakery, working with his dad and grandparents. He is famous in Bridgeport for his delicious donuts, bread and pastries.
