History

Established in 1986.

Bridgewater Acura has been heavily involved in the community for around 24 years. We originally started as a motorcycle shop and have grown into one of the largest Certified Acura Dealers in the entire country.

Bill Vince is known throughout the community for his generosity and donating to various charities. He views his employees and customers not only as vital parts and the lifeblood of his business, but more importantly as friends.

Sales process was fine but it turns when you get to the «finance guy». This is my third trip for an oil change (A1 service) and I found out from my service rep that the A1 service I was sold is not the same as the service department A1 service. It sounds pretty stupid so I asked to clarify and Ileana said that it was true. So the guy who sold me the plan sold me something that the dealership doesn’t offer. Pretty shady! Only one more prepaid oil change (since it’s not a true A1 service) then I can head to another dealer.

Lost a star. Called this morning about a problem I’m having with the screen and computer not functioning or operating.
Lady picked up the phone. Sounded like she didn’t want to be bothered. Dragging her lines and I couldn’t understand what she said. Told her the problem that I’m having, put me on hold and said: listen, I don’t know what’s wrong with the car, I’ll have a service advisor get back to you or this is something you can fix yourself… what? Fix myself? Ok sure. Yes I’ll remove the screen and components myself and fix it. No problem, I would love to void my warranty. Hahaha then she took my info and it’s 5:24pm. No response. Called no one picked up. Blah!
I’m going somewhere else. Hopefully they don’t have customer service like this or employees eating all the waiting room stuff Lol

I’d be more than happy to show you receipts and the recording of the stupid explanation I received from your dealership when I called the next day. Too little too late at this point and I consider this a lesson learned from dealing with this dealership.

Dealing with a car dealer especially when buying a car is never easy. Always stressful. This is my 7th time buying a car in my life but this first time dealing with Bridgewater Acura. I must admit, they run a hard bargain but are pretty straightforward. When I went to go look at the car that I wanted they allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted looking it over. I spent a whole 30 minutes going over every detail that I could of the car before I even drove it. Then I had the test drive. When I sat down to negotiate with them, they immediately pulled up the Carfax and the KBB value and came down about $ 1500. I already had my financing in order so it was all about price. At this point they didn’t want to budge so I negotiated using my trade in value and down payment until we got to a deal. There were no games. There was no pressure to buy. The price was the price for all that they were concerned. As we were going through the paperwork they did try to pressure me for additional warranty and Gap insurance but I stuck to my guns. Everything else I was satisfied with. Their services are great and the personnel work hard to be considerate and professional.

Thank you for the comments and revealing to the public the tone with which you speak w/​customers. The original response from Christine was more appropriate and professional. It took three visits over several months to reach an agreement because your dealership pricing was originally way above market. I tried to help you understand and was sarcastically thanked for the feedback and told to have a nice day. The car sat for 6mos and final price was approx 4k lower than original which validates my point. Last price was also approx 2500 less than what you as the «general mgr» told me personally was the absolute lowest you could go. I was also told over the phone that the pricing was firm only to find reductions on your website the next day available to the general public. The final deal that you declined had a 330 gap not 100. Given how long the car sat, and the history of pricing gamesmanship, a real customer focused dealership would have held the car with a contract and 1000 deposit after I agreed to your price. Forcing someone to overnight $ 37k upfront just to hold the car is excessive and inconvenient even when a customer can afford to do so.

It was a Saturday… just after I left your place Rating on your answer which was not an apology but an excuse for stupidity

HORRIBLE.
I’ve never left a Unilocal review before but my experience with this dealer was so unprofessional and bad that I felt inclined to leave this comment.
What kind of person comes to a verbal agreement with you, you leave a HOLD deposit, then turns around and changes their mind and cancels the deal because she wants to repost and sell the car for $ 4,999 more than our agreed upon price? ($ 4,000 more than her own original asking price). Someone with zero integrity– and that’s exactly what happened to me.
I was looking to purchase a used car from a posting on Autrotrader that said it was sold through Bridgewater, so my bf called and went back and forth for a while (with Tina).
It turns out it was her personal vehicle that she was selling through the dealer since she works at Bridgewater Acura, (the dealer is co-​signed on her vehicle). Fine.
We finally came to an agreement on the price, and since I live across the country in CA, I decided to ask my friends who live in MD to make a 3.5 hour road trip to go see the car (as a favor to me) because I didn’t want to purchase it without at least one trustworthy person looking at it first.
In order to hold the car, I put a $ 1,000 HOLD DEPOSIT on the car.
After my friends saw the car, things seemed fine. Until…
We called her the next day and she told me she decided NOT to HONOR our verbal price anymore and instead she decided to cancel our agreement and re-​post the car for $ 4,000 MORE than her original ASKING price! ($ 4999 more than the price we agreed upon)!
I don’t know what type of person agrees to a deal, takes a deposit and then goes back on it, and decides to resell it for an additional $ 4,000 to their original asking price!!! Don’t get me wrong, she didn’t turn around and ask me to continue the deal (that would be even more ridiculous and unethical), she just cancelled it altogether. It didn’t matter that I put a hold on it already.
This was just a horrible experience, Not to mention a complete lack of integrity (even for a car salesperson).

Bought a preowned Honda here in September 2014. Salesman was nice and helpful as someone who’s paid on commission can be. Car looked great inside and out and the price was very fair…
And then the SHADE begins… was never informed that this was a Honda Corporate Vehicle which may or may not have been used as a test vehicle for whatever purposes. Charged an additional $ 800 on top of the purchase price for unwanted extras (KLEER Windshield Treatment? What the f*ck is that?!). Had to chase salesperson down to find out where and when my plates/​reg were gonna arrive seeing as my temp plate was expiring, a month later (what took so long!?!) Oh and the documents were STILL late which meant I was driving around with an expired temp plate for 2 days. Then had to balls to ask for more money because they undercharged on the reg fee (No thats ok… eat it).
Love the car… horrible sales experience overall and WILL NOT be back under any circumstances…
Oh and if you’re wondering why I’m writing this 4 months later? The last straw? Got a low tire pressure warning (normal when the temperature drops well below freezing) and put some air in the tires. Front passenger tire is at 50… fifty…yes FIFTY PSI!!! Who does that??? Oh and guess what? That tire is now bald and destroyed due to the over inflation so 4 months into the game I’m now shopping for tires…
Good f*cking riddance Bill Vince…

We just bought a certified car here and found the experience fairly pleasant. Reasons:
1. They had a great selection of the semi-​rare model we wanted, so we were able to make a balanced decision and get the combination of features and condition that we wanted.
2. Eddie’s patient, low-​key sales approach, and how easily he took care of a few small issues.
3. The deal Dan gave us: having looked for this car for a few weeks, we knew it was really good, and it’s way under the KBB value.
4. The certification is by Acura, not by the dealer or a third party. They promptly produced the full 150-​point checklist upon request.
5. Other positives: nice showroom, friendly staff, bizarrely plentiful snacks and drinks.
6. The aficionado-​like interest some of the guys showed in my vintage Alfa Romeo. I like buying a car from people who like cars.
Dealers always want to sell you thousands of dollars worth of protective services — and they tried — but the pitch wasn’t aggressive.
Overall, we actually enjoyed buying the car. No regrets.
As for the other comments, I’ve never seen their commercials, and we have yet to try the service department.

They offer money towards a tire rotation with a Unilocal check in! Always love a nice offer when checking in somewhere!

. They only work off TrueCar which is a scam to trick you. Don’t be fooled. They will come In the lowest price every time.

Purchasing our car from Bridgewater Acura was one of the most painless, effortless and luxurious experiences I have ever encountered at a car dealership! In the past, car buying has been such a chore. Prior to our purchase we had never owned an Acura and after our experience at Bill Vince’s it is hard to imagine buying a car anywhere else. The facility is clean and upscale and the service is above and beyond from the beautiful «kitchen» you have access to to the knowledge of the sales people. There was no haggling and no «shadiness» which is usually the norm. Our car (a certified pre owned) is perfect in every way and the price was fantastic. We are very happy with our experience and will highly recommend them to our family and friends. A special Thank you to our salesperson, Obie and manager David. We appreciate it!

This review is mainly a review of the service department– it is a complete ripoff. They charge you out the wazoo for the ‘easiest’ tasks (easy as in what a semi-​competent mechanic can do blindfolded). They are also quite deceptive in how much repairs will cost. I’ve learned my lesson and will avoid this dealership altogether.

For the service portion: I have had several terrible experiences with this place. They are dishonest and a rip-​off. I took my 2004 MDX in to have a repair done, which ended up costing me about $ 2,000. On the way back home from the dealership, the transmission completely died. I made it halfway into a parking lot and had to have some kind strangers push my car the rest of the way into the lot. I immediately had my car towed back to Acura. Turns out that whatever they had done had completely ruined my transmission and I needed a completely new one. Thankfully, they did this for free since I had just spent so much money, but they tried to cover up the fact that it was their fault and acted like they were doing me a favor by comping me this service rather than fixing their own mistake. From then on, I had constant problems with the vehicle, even with a brand new transmission. Even when I was going in just for routine maintenance, I would end up spending several hundred dollars every time! And somehow the bill was always more than I was quoted on the phone. I would recommend staying far far away.
For the sales portion: Like any car sales place, they will try to swindle you. But that’s par for the course, so I don’t really hold it against them. I would recommend going somewhere else though!

So far, they seem very competent, although thankfully my Acura (at 60K miles) hasn’t needed to be repaired yet, other than warped rotors. Common problem with all Honda products. Be careful when you bring your car in for regularly scheduled maintenance. They will pad the bill with «extras» every time and they are VERY expensive. It’s not unusual to walk out of there with a $ 300-​$ 500 bill for regular scheduled maintenance. Ridiculous!
