I have eaten at PHO two times now, both times with a group of 6 or more. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. I’m pretty sure they put cocaine in the soup, because you keep wanting to come back for more. I’ve tried the phở, bun and the coffee. Service can be a bit slow, the place is always packed and they are probably overwhelmed, but I’ve never see the level of bad service that other reviews are complaining about.

Tried the P5 today and must say, it was very good. I was hoping for a richer, darker broth; this broth was much lighter. I missed a bit of depth you get from a rich stock but all in all, this was tasty. The medium bowl was a very generous portion but only had one small slice of each meat(sliced beef, brisket, and flank steak) My son’s bowl had a slighter larger portion of meat so maybe my bowl was slighted a bit? Not a big deal overall. The garnishes-fresh bean sprouts, limes, basil and jalapeño, were very fresh and added just the right amount of texture and flavor needed. The pork bahn-mi was very flavorful but I wish there was a bit more pork on the roll. The sandwich was a little dry so I added a bit of sauces that were out on the table. It tasted better after that. We will definitely be back again. Enjoyed the food so it’s worth another trip for sure.

Coming from San Francisco I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Vietnamese food. You feel immediately welcomed by the bright, modern and clean dining area. My grilled pork vermicelli was cooked to perfection with fresh and crisp veggies. Meanwhile my brother enjoyed his delectable beef phở. My husband and mother got the seafood sauté with rice which was cooked in a clear sauce. I would go again in a heartbeat and hope that the average rating will rise to four stars in the future.

Date: 12/20(Sun) Time: Placed order @ 1:15 pm Order: 1 Vietnamese pancake &2 bahn mi sandwiches Staffing; 3 staff on the floor Result: We left at 1:40 pm without getting our food, as I had an appointment to get to. The waiter’s update right before I was getting up to leave(which he shared only since I asked) was that the pancake was«almost ready», but the sandwiches were still not ready. Not sure why the sandwiches weren’t ready. Next steps: I go to this restaurant at least once a week. As a result of this latest experience, this restaurant has permanently lost my business.

First the bad, with tax and tip for 3 adults and 2 young kids, dinner total came to $ 75 for 2 apps and 4 entrees. For a regular Vietnamese diner, it’s overpriced for what you get. Nearly 6 dollars for spring rolls that come in 4 the size of half a pencil, 13 dollars for a bowl of xlarge phở is just ridiculous. Grilled pork chop was too salty. The good. Everything else was fresh and delicious, the phở, spring and summer rolls, crispy tofu, rice vermicelli combo and would recommend. Location fills a great void in Vietnamese cuisine in the area. Easily 4 stars if they portioned servings commensurate with prices charged.

Tried this place for lunch today. Wow! Fodd is fresh and out of this world great. Had sea food phở and steak phở. Also shrimp summer rolls. Rolls were big with a very tasty sauce and phở… not enough good things to say about it. Terrific. Service was prompt and helpful. Clean place and plenty of space as well. Highly recommend it.

I frequent Vietnamese often and tried this place 3x figured few bad days in the kitchen. This place just simply SUCKS in every way and probably the worst Vietnamese in NJ. All 3x we left as we just got ripped off but thats our fault for being dumb 3x. Any good reviews here must be fake.

They seemed a little short staffed, but they were very friendly and helpful. We had the standard phở combo bowl and Vietnamese pancake. Both were good. A lot of places skimp on the meat when you order the combo bowl, but this place definitely did not. The pancake was hot and crispy, not soggy at all! We also ordered the avocado shake and the coconut shake. The avocado shake was mild and tasty. The coconut shake was super coconut flavored! It was like drinking delicious frosty coconut milk. If you like coconut, seriously order this!

Service was amazingly fast and the food was super tasty. I ordered the phở with steak and brisket. The flavor was beautiful and I had more than enough food to consume. I also ordered a honeydew shake with pearls and I am still licking my lips thinking about how tasty it was. The shake had the perfect amount of flavor and I would have been a happy human with just the shake alone. I am definitely going back.

Updating this place to 4 stars, because the phở was so much better this time. P2(Rare Steak, Flank, Brisket, Tripe, Tendon) — We ordered the extra large bowl again. The first time around, the broth was a little weak, and the worst part were the clumpy noodles which were hard in some parts soggy in others. This time the broth was great and the noodles weren’t all clumpy and soggy. Much more consistent. A1 Cha Gio(fried egg rolls) — Delicious, but tiny little egg rolls, $ 5.95 for 4. C7 Grilled Pork — The pork was just as good as last time. I like the intense somewhat sweet fish sauce flavor and the char-grilled texture. B1 Grilled Pork, Grilled Beef, Grilled Shrimp, Egg Roll on Vermicelli) — the flavor of the pork and beef were very similar, but I really enjoyed the grilled shrimp. Ask for extra fish sauce for the vermicelli. The décor is really clean and spacious. The staff were just as nice as the first time. It seems like they are now getting a decent amount of business. Will be back again!

Really nice to finally have a Vietnamese place in Bridgewater! Their phở is good, its the main menu item, with 23 variants of it — P1 is the only one with oxtail, so its our favorite — the broth is a bit light compared to other places, but flavorful, and you can customize it with more sauce, sprouts, mint leaves etc. The bun — rice noodles — is excellent — B1 with grilled pork, shrimp & beef is filling, their grilled pork is really good. Best of all are the bubble teas, coffee & shakes — D11 Avocado shake with pearl is worth trying, very creamy & not too strong avocado flavor. Take out phở is a good option too, they package the meat and noodles and sauce separately, and give you the broth in a big container, so you can reheat the broth and assemble your phở at home. The place is neat and clean with modern décor, service seems to have improved markedly from some of the previous reviews, and the convenience of nearby phở on a cool autumn evening is hard to beat.

I past this area many times on the way to Manville, but I didn’t notice this Vietnamese restaurant until I saw in Unilocal. We decided to try. The inside was much nicer than I expected. The service was very good. We had Vegetable Summer roll for appetizer, Phở with Finely Chopped Rib-Eye Steak, and Seafood Stir-Fry with Vegetable on Rice. Phở had tasty broth and beef was very tender. The volume didn’t look big, but I couldn’t finish it. It was a good idea that I didn’t ordered Large size. We had a good experience here. We will come back.

I am happy that I found another authentic Vietnamese restaurant. This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I’ve found to have filet mignon phô soup. It was really tasty with nice cuts of meat and all of the ingredients a Phô soup should have like onions, bean sprouts, basil, etc. I ordered a couple of bahn mi sandwiches to go for my family which were also delicious. I will be back the next time I’m in Bridgewater.

I am very happy that my coworkers and I decided to try this place. For starters the menu is very easy to read and understand and not overwhelming. Also the man who helped us choose was very nice and has a great personality. He also made some great recommendations so we are glad he was there to help us. We had the summer rolls as a starter and they were amazing; not too overfilled with vermicelli noodles which could make it too chewy. The peanut sauce it comes with is great and complements it greatly. I had the phở with meat and meatballs and it really was great! What an amazing broth. I added the basil, bean sprouts, sriracha and hoisin sauce and I love the fact that you can add it to your taste. The phở was really delicious and I will definitely be coming back to this place. I also had the taro bubble tea which was amazing! I love taro so I knew I would like it. My coworkers had the avocado bubble tea and it was actually very good and sweet. A very nice surprise. Only reason I will give this a 4 star is because we were not provided with enough napkins, and the person taking our order kept leaving before we could ask for more things such as a knife and napkins. Even when we did ask for more it was not enough for the 3 of us. Other than that the place is great and I will definitely be back.

Quite excited to hear that there was a Vietnamese and Phở place in Somerville, NJ. Too bad that excitement was short lived. The service was absolutely horrendous. When we got our table. Our table was absolutely stinks. It took literally 20 minutes for any waiter or waitress to notice our table of 3. We noticed that the wait staff were too busy making sure other tables were doing okay and chatting with them. They already have their food. what about our service. A bus boy had to get the attention of a waiter to get to our table. I gave such an attitude when ordering our food. We ordered the Spring Rolls, Com Tam Suon Nuong which is the Broken Rice with Grilled Pork Chops and 2 Phở Dac Biet– Special Phở with Rare Steak, Well Done Flank, Fatty Brisket, Tendon, and Tripe. What the Phở… the orders took absolutely forever to come. Phở does not take long to make. When our orders did come. We had to ask for chop sticks, spoons, fork, knife, and straws. Even that took a while to get because we kept asking and telling them we need this and that. At least 2 times. Finally we can eat. The spring rolls were okay. The phở while the soup base was hot. It was a bit salty. Not much meat in our phở. They messed up the order for my friends grilled pork chops and gave regular grilled pork which tasted like it was burnt. At this point, I did not want to wait for our check. I got up and got it myself. Paid for the meal and left. WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER!!! I was not the only one who had a terrible service. A table to my right… family of three who were there before us. Waited over an hour for their food. We had chat with that family because we both complained about the service. That family was yelling and the father at least 2 times went up to the staff to ask about the orders. Two tables to my left. A family of 3 also waited forever for their food and check. They had the most miserable and disgusted looks. A table of 2 on my left kept asking for a waiter so they can order, but their orders also took forever to come. Never coming back here again.

I’ve been waiting for a vietnamese place to come close to our home. They just opened and The food was good but alittle pricier than I pay at my usual spots. Services wasn’t that great and someone must have burned something in the kitchen because it had a burnt smell. We ordered fried eggs rolls which was given with fancy lettuce and mint(not cilantro) ??? I had to ask for it. My husband ordered Banh mi(was sorta lacking the taste of a traditional sub(the pork BBQ was good though) the Phở was on point. I would come back maybe in a few months when they have it together and have a better flow.

I’m really excited we have a Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The décor is updated with clean lines. The food is quite tasty. The price is on the high side for Vietnamese but I guess they can get a way with it since it’s the only one of its kind in the area. As for the portions, I found it to be fair, except for the spring rolls It should be bigger. MESSAGEFORTHEOWNER: I know this place is very new but since you’re short of staff or the staff is still learning their grove, it would be a good idea to have your utensils and napkins already on the table so customers don’t have to ask your staff for it. For now I’m giving it a 3 star. Until they can tweak their new restaurant issues it will remain a 3 star.
