Worst fish tacos ive ever had, overpriced and the waitress was a bitch. Only thing this place had going for it is the property that it is on. Everything else sucked, including the band that they had playing. They should start selling earplugs.

What I really love about Laguna is that it’s essentially a beach bar. You can be on the beach, come up to the bar, put your toes in the sand and listen to some live bands while relaxing with your rum punch(or whatever you fancy). I swear, if you look up at the palm trees, you might actually think you are on an island. Needless to say, their proximity to the beach is not to be matched, but their food and service are where it’s lacking. Nothing here will blow you away; though their appetizers are alright if you need a bite, like their pizza or shrimp cocktail. And their breakfast is decent should you be there at that hour. Service is slow and inattentive for the most part, though the bartenders are always ready to fill your glass! The place is pretty big, with a large indoor bar and plenty of dining seats. They also have a private room for special events. The outdoor bar is cash only(there’s an ATM onsite), though they do take credit cards anywhere inside. In the summer, there is music almost every night(starting at like 5pm) which definitely adds to the outdoor experience. You can even hear the music from some of the houses in earshot. Parking can be a bitch if you don’t get a spot on the street, so valet or walk. The prices are ok; a bit pricey for drinks($ 10 for mojitos, speciality drinks, etc. beers about $ 5), but worth it for the experience if you’re outdoors. They don’t have many specials, nor a typical«happy hour,» but every hour on the beach with the sun shining down on you is happy hour in my opinion.

Stopped in for a drink. I would give the place an extra star except for the service. I sat at an almost empty bar for 10 minutes while three bartenders had a conversation and ignored me. I really could not be that upset because I was enjoying the beach view from my comfortable bar stool. When I finally got my drink I sat in one of the many beach chairs set in the sand and enjoyed the ocean view. The band was setting up but I did not stay long enough to enjoy that. Have remodeled the place with a large outdoor eating area with good but not outstanding food. The long ocean view indoor bar is a nice place to relax.

One of the nicest places to go to in Brigantine. Summer time is the best time, of course. I’ve dined here a few times after the beach and the food is okay. Their salad is actually my main go to’s the Thai salad. Other than that if you want a burger I would prefer the Laguna burger or turkey burger! The drinks are too over priced. A small Mojito for $ 9? Wayyyyy too small of a drink! Honestly you’re just paying for the ambiance which is spectacular! There’s a live band on certain days. I haven’t really tried all their food but I think I’ll stick with just two dishes or maybe the pizza next time. But overall, not bad! I give it 3.5 stars.

We really enjoyed at lunch. Our group had the fish and chips, fried shrimp, chicken strips, and Mahi tacos. Not a complaint in the bunch and the fries were exceptionally great! The server was wonderful and found us a table on the deck in the shade. We enjoyed the classic rock band too. We’ll be back. The prices were a bit high which is what kept this from being a 5 star review.

We have been coming to the Legacy Resort for years. The Laguna Grill & Rum Bar sits right below. Never attempted it due to the reviews but there is a first for everything. Being our last night, we decided to try out this amazing looking place with an amazing outdoor seating area in the back that sits on the sand and overlooks the beach. We ordered safe & simple tonight in fear of wasting money. A cheese steak with provolone and a side order of chicken tenders and fries. Not the best but most definitely not bad… Worth the time and the ambiance. Regular bands play each night of the week and apparently tonights band was one of their best. After the band packs up at 10 pm the restaurant plays music making your out door seating that much nicer. After we ate we sat on one of their many Adirondack chairs enjoying the music and night summer breeze. Simply delicious…

Really loved my experience here even though it was short. I can’t wait to come again and try more from their menu. During my first visit I only had a burger but kept eyeing everyone else’s plates. The view is perfect. You’re right on the beach. The décor is cute with real palm trees. Can’t wait to come again and try out their seafood and drinks! It’s definitely a great place for a date or even for the family.

Come for the outdoor seating. The food is pretty average. We waited about 30 minutes for an outside table on Saturday afternoon. The bar outside is cash only so we waited at the inside bar until our table was ready. When I got my water at the table it tasted SALTY as if it came straight from the ocean. I had to ask for another one which was a little awkward. My friend and I both ordered lobster rolls, which were just average. There wasn’t much to them and the lobster wasn’t very flavorful. It was also served on a hamburger bun instead of a hot dog roll which I found a little weird. My boyfriend ordered cheese pizza and said it was fine. Our server seemed too overwhelmed with all the tables he had. He didn’t bring out a drink my friend ordered and we waited 15 minutes for him to come back to ask for it. His response was«oh I didn’t hear you». No apology was given or anything. He also forgot to add a margarita onto the bill but we didn’t say anything(free drinks sound good to me!). As many people have said, this place has gone downhill significantly in the past few years. We used to really enjoy coming here for the food and atmosphere. Now we just come out of convenience.

What is their not to love about the Laguna Grill? Valet parking, the option of three dining areas and a stellar menu. Everything about the LG has been spot on the past few times we were there. The Fried Pickles are to die for and may have a cult like following. The watermelon mojito was refreshing and the other drinks strong yet well balanced. The sushi, Surf and Turf, and Tuna with mango salsa were all excellent. The best is being about to sit ocean side and then end your meal by relaxing and listening to a band while the kids play corn hole. It is busy, so you need to arrive early, be patient and stay relaxed. You cannot come barreling in on a Saturday night at 7:00 and expect to have the table of your dreams without a wait. The place keeps getting better and better.

If no stars was an option, that’s what I’d have given this place. So so so sad. Have come here for years, as recently as last summer and always had great food. This season, absolutely awful. Our table of 7, sent 3 dishes back. The first dish, was a «flounder.» Everyone at the table sampled it, and agreed that it was cod.(There is a very serious difference between Flounder and Cod.) The second was an old crab cake, which was completely soggy, and served without any garnishes. The third, was the Mahi Mahi tacos. The Mahi was not fresh and completely overcooked. Our server, who attempted to be as accommodating to a table that had just been served three horrific seafood dishes, as he possibly could be was astounded. Yet, not a single manager or owner approached our table. Our bill was over $ 300, and not a single person was happy with their meal. Great mojitos, though. Perhaps they should stick to that. So sad to see such a great local spot completely sacrifice the quality of their dishes. Further more, during the duration of our meal, at least 8 employees hovered around the hostess station on their cell phones. Don’t go here. Not until it’s back to normal. Rip… I hope you’re reading this. I’m absolutely astounded how far downhill your place has gone in less than one year.

Worst cheesesteak I ever had fatty fatty meat filled with Greasy onions on a burnt roll. French fries were lukewarm. Chilean sea bass 29.95 fried. Supposed to be grilled but they fry it. Grease was running down the plate. Steamed clams served in dirty dish water. Sorry that’s what they taste like. Tried to talk to manager he told me he saw my food was burnt but there was nothing he could do about it. What??? Don’t waste your money you’re better off going to Wawa this place sucks

This is really one of the nicest bars on the Jersey shore. Yes, there are gorgeous views of the ocean. Yes, parking is pretty easy nearby(and free) or in their lot($$). But, what separates the LG is great & friendly service, really good food, and super delicious mojitos, all in a setting that is much more low-key and relaxed than you might expect. Had lunch here recently with my GF, and we both had huge lunch salads, perfectly prepared with fresh crab meat and shrimp. Ideal hot summer day lunch, under a shady covered porch, with a view of the ocean, and live music! Okay! Brigantine island is a little out of the way for most folks, which is perhaps why it’s still one of the nicest and least crowded NJ beaches. This is certainly the nicest bar we’ve found on the island, and they have live music almost every night during the summer.(I suggest going on Thurs nights, when Laura Lea & Trip Fabulous are playing. They are awesome.) Lunch here is a bit pricy, but you do get what you pay for, and their mojitos are among the best I’ve ever had. We considered staying at our table until dinner, listening to the great band, and sipping our mojitos, but decided to trek over to the semi-private Borgata beach area, about 100 yards away. If you stay at The Borgata during the summer, they run a free shuttle van back & forth to this beach club every 45 minutes. The beach here is SO much nicer than the AC beach, and the Borgata will provide you with a loaner beach badge & towel free of charge. Chairs & umbrellas are also avail for a fee. So if you are staying in or near Brigantine(or AC) make the trip over to the Laguna Grill & Rum Bar. This is a truly premium(but casual) NJ beach bar experience.

I’ve been staying in brigantine for a couple years now and when I first came here it was awesome! It’s very different than most other places in the area. You almost feel like you’re on a tropical island. The live music is great but the food is just OK. For the price you pay for food and drinks they both should be amazing! The drinks are always strong which is great but they really need to get another chef or put together a new menu. It sucks but I’m always disappointed by food! The sand/beach area is great, but you can’t get waiter service while sitting there, you have to get up whenever you want food or drinks.

My family and I came to Brigatine for vacation. We’re usually more of a Point Pleasant family since we’re from. North Jersey, but we won’t be anymore! Brigatine is wonderful. Laguna, was by far our favorite place to eat. I’m a huge raw bar fan, and their oysters/clams were enormous and very fresh. Their drinks were very reasonably priced as well. We have a 1 year old little girl, and they were so attentive to her and us. The waiters ran out with a high chair, and right away handed us a sippy cup without us even asking. The food was out in the blink of an eye. I read the previous reviews and I was so surprised. I went twice just to make sure we didn’t get lucky with our first visit, and as I expected, everything was wonderful. Super clean, great food, beautiful view, reasonably priced. We will definitely recommend and will certainly be back!

Probably one of the coolest beach bars anywhere on the Jersey Shore. Was fortunate to hang for a free concert featuring G Love. Great atmosphere on the beach. Had pizza and an order of steamed shrimp. Both were tasty.

The food is bland and overpriced. The fact that it is one of few restaurants in Brigantine and the ONLY one on the beach must be why this place still survives. The service is awful, and you are made to feel like you are bothering the disinterested waitstaff when you need something. Last time I was at Laguna I asked where the ATM was to a trio of high school aged servers/busers/whatevers who were sitting at the outdoor host stand– they literally stared at me as though I was speaking Mandarin. I think they all think they’re on an episode of Beverly Hills 90210 and are more concerned with flirting with each other than serving the slop their kitchen unfreezes and depending on the day either under or over cooks. Go here for a drink and the location– just make sure you don’t need to ask where the bathroom is or you might wet yourself waiting for the answer.

Destination restaurant. On the beach, with great views inside and out. Palm trees ring the area and with the nearby surf and sand you can’t believe you’re in NJ. Our favorite dishes include the Mahi tacos, fish and chips, Thai salad, Caprese salad and the house wines are particularly good.

Three stars because this place is way overpriced for what you get. Perhaps some people won’t mind paying almost double what other places would charge for similar food items in exchange for being a beach side bar! We had a round of frozen Mango Margaritas! Those were delicious. We also ordered the BBQ burger with cheese fries. The burger was good but nothing very special about it. It didn’t wow me. The seasoned fries and cheese sauce were addicting… but it doesn’t take much to pull off fries. The service was prompt and everyone who interacted with us provided great customer service. I just wouldn’t make an effort to return due to really high prices for just average food. Maybe the seafood and steak items are amazing… but not worth the price to find out. Maybe Laguna’s would get more business if they offered some specials?! Maybe you’ll have to find out for yourself …

The atmosphere is whats truly attractive here. Enjoy a meal and/or many drinks directly on the beach. You can sit outside with a beautiful view. After your meal, you can even grab a beach chair thats provided by the restaurant and relax with more drinks or live music. Its private, clean, and nice. The menu is not that large, but has many options for the seafood lover. I wish they served breakfast later — they stop it at 12 pm. Their pizza looks delicious, my seafood bisque was very very heavy. Very butttery too, i was a bit let down since there was not any seafood in it but more of a seafood flavor. i got the kids grilled cheese which hit the spot — the fries were double fries and very crunchy and tasted great. Everyone else seemed really pleased with their forms of burgers or lobster roll. the lobster roll is basically large lumps of lobster thrown onto a roll. yes its small but basically youre getting lobster – fresh & yummy.

So I have been coming here for years. My family frequents AC a lot and we usually stay up the street at La Samana, this place is located on the beach and a two minute walk. We usually only come for breakfast, but have also had lunch here as well. They have recently remodeled and have made a deck on the sand and seating area in the sand. I usually come for the breakfast pizza, which is massive. It includes: eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon, and breakfast potatoes on a pizza crust. The crust is usually great, a nice fresh dough, baked just right, and has an awesome flavor. It is definitely big enough to split between two people, but I can polish one off by myself if the mood strikes lol. My bf tends to get the more traditional breakfast items. The last time we were there he got a western omelet with breakfast potatoes and toast. I feel like the potatoes could of had a little more flavor but other then that he said he enjoyed his breakfast. The portions are usually pretty big. They are usually pretty quick to bring another cup of coffee too, which is always plus. The service could stand to be a little better though. It seems like all that works there are kids on summer break so they couldn’t care less! We also love the ambiance there. The beach is directly in front of you while sitting on the outdoor patio. Theres now a fenced in area with sand, palm trees and lounge chairs which is great for kids and adults alike. And of course there is a bar area… Drinks are a little pricey but not too bad compared to the casino bars!!! We keep coming back and will continue to do so… In fact we are planning to go this weekend…
