History

Established in 1851.

The Oak Square YMCA is proud to be part of the YMCA of Greater Boston, the largest provider of social services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Serving Allston, Brighton, Watertown, Brookline, and surrounding neighborhoods, the Oak Square YMCA has strengthened its communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for over 70 years.

Committed to offering programs and services to people of all ages and abilities, the new 37,000 square foot facility rebuilt in 2001 is fully handicap accessible and features a 6 lane 25 yard lap pool, a therapy pool, a gymnasium with climbing wall, a strength and fitness center, and a staff that is passionate about improving health and well-being.
