Samuels Jaguar Motor

I recently bought my Jaguar XJ8 (308) from a seller on Craigslist and having owned an earlier model in the past, I went into this purchase with more caution and a little more knowledge of what to look for, but I am still by no means an expert! A couple weeks ago I noticed a sound that was like driving on a grooved road or a metal grated bridge. The sound would go up in pitch the more I accelerated. Doing a bunch of research on the web, I deducted that it was a wheel bearing needing to be replaced. So, I now needed to find a place that worked on Jags. I knew that dealerships are going to be very pricey so I was hoping to find another place that worked on them. I found several great reviews on Samuels Jaguar Motors and I called him and set up an appointment. I brought it in and was greeted by a friendly mechanic and explained what the issue was (from what I could figure) and he took it for a spin and decided that it was the right front bearing. I asked him to fix it, and give a good look over the whole car to see if there was anything else that could potentially be an issue down the road. He actually gave me a ride to the train! He called me about 2 hours later and let me know that the ball joint also needed to be replaced so I had him do that too. Well, needless to say, it was all fixed when I went to pick it (Same day! — and he picked me up at the train stop too!) Noise was gone too! When I got to the garage to pick it up, he had left it up on the lift and with a light, showed me everything he did, some of the problems he saw — nothing major, but things that should be fixed just to bring it to great condition. The cost of repair was incredibly surprising as I thought it would be much more. So, bottom line, he is honest, efficient, knows Jaguars thoroughly, and reasonably priced and those are the reason he is constantly busy — I can guarantee it I am really thrilled that I found this shop and intend on keeping my car maintained and repaired here from here on out!

Samuels Jaguar is the best place to have your car fixed. This is an ethical business. Sam is a great guy. He is honest & very helpful. No games here. I’ve had my car fixed here twice. Each time price was reasonable and repair work was perfect. I highly recommend this business to anyone.

I had some vibration in one of the wheel bearings in my X-​Type, and after doing some research it became apparent that I needed a Jaguar specialist to do the work as I had read horror stories of shops installing the wrong bearing and having the ABS stop working and engine lights come on and so on.
So, I called the local dealership who quoted me $ 600 if all goes smoothly, but they might not be able to figure out which bearing needed to be replaced. Seriously, how many ways can you leave yourself the option of charging me more money later? Then, I called Samuel’s, and not only did they quote me less than half the price at the dealership, they didn’t give me any B.S. either and did the work in a couple hours the next day. Honest people, good work, good prices. Love it!

A friend of mine swears by this garage. My friend does not drive a jag. The mechanics there are honest as can be, completely straight-​forward and realistic, and charge fairly.
I, personally, have not been to this garage (I don’t own a car currently), but know from past experience how hard it can be to find a trustworthy garage, and thought I’d share this piece of info from my trusted friend.
