Without A Hitch

Working with this company was worth every penny – and considering everything they did, it was a bargain! I wanted a day-​of coordinator because our reception space needed a lot of coordination and I did not want to ask family or friends to do that, or do it myself. I wanted to enjoy and remember our wedding. That’s exactly what happened.
Backing up several months, at an initial meeting with Sarah and our coordinator Diana, we talked through all of the details that needed to still be put in place, and we started putting together a timeline. My fiancé and I were shocked at how many things we hadn’t thought of. I was never someone who daydreamed about my future wedding or pictured what it would look like, and I had never been a bridesmaid or family member helping out, either. So we really had no clue. I also want to add here that some elements of our wedding were non-​traditional – we just skipped or changed traditions that didn’t speak to us – and Sarah and Diana were totally fine with that.
In between the initial meeting and the wedding, Diana checked in with us over e-​mail, helped us update our timeline, and came for a site visit to the reception venue. All of this was extremely helpful.
On the day of, we arrived at a beautiful reception, and there was Diana, offering to get us drinks (I have to say, we loved that part!) Things went very smoothly and many of my family members commented on how pleasant and helpful Diana was. That really means a lot to us! We felt good with her from the beginning, so I was happy to trust that she would have everything set up and ready to go. We were not disappointed.
By the way, we were on a pretty tight budget for our wedding, but like I said, this was well worth the expense. So if you’re not sure whether you want to do this or can afford it, I would say find a way to do it and you won’t regret it. The peace of mind was golden.

My daughter’s wedding was held at our home and I am absolutely sure that we could not have had such a wonderful, relaxed wedding without Alisha from Without a Hitch. She was responsible, responsive, delightful, totally attuned to what needed to happen when. She anticipated all our questions and seemed to sincerely enjoy and appreciate the festivities. If you are looking for a «day of» coordinator, you will not find anyone better that Alisha. In reality, she provides services much more than one day — from emailing the schedule for the rehearsal and the actual wedding, to asking all the questions none of us anticipated, to being a delightful presence at the event.

Sarah and the Without a Hitch team are fabulous! They served as Day-​of Coordinators for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah and everything ran beautifully! Every detail was considered and skillful plans were executed to ensure a fabulous evening that went off, well, without a hitch. And Sarah is really fun to be around and easy to work with. Cannot say enough good things. This was my second Mitzvah with Without a Hitch… if I had more kids, we’d be back again!

Planned our event with less than two weeks’ lead time, while we were all busy and distracted with houseguests and other commitments. A friend recommended getting a Day of Event coordinator and SO glad we did. There’s just no way it would have happened at all without Sarah from Without a Hitch. We breezed on in to our own event and she had everything perfectly set up and arranged, well before start time. Our event involved a lot of decorations and displays and we still have no idea how she singlehandedly managed to transport it all there and get everything in place and looking lovely, while also making sure the venue staff set the whole room and food service up as we wanted it. She had us specify everything and defined what she needed from us to make it happen.
She came in advance to pack it all up and be sure she was clear on what we wanted, and brought everything to the venue for us. Sarah was professional, unassumingly friendly and hospitable to all our guests, and we got lots of positive comments. She staffed the welcome table leaving us completely free to mingle and enjoy, and made sure everyone got a nametag (and was actually on the guest list) When the time was up and venue staff began clearing the food tables, Sarah unobtrusively packed up our materials without disturbing guests who were still chatting and let us enjoy to the very last possible moment. Then she delivered everything back to our place, so we could go right on with our guests to the next event.
Nothing was overlooked, everything was taken care of, she was calm and collected during the event and carried out spontaneous orders like a trooper when we wanted anything changed or addressed. Her positive can-​do attitude and encouraging manner made it easy to get our ducks in a row, and made this a very special event free of any fuss or worries.
I spoke with several event planning companies before choosing WAH, including those recommended by friends who had lovely weddings. Sarah was recommended by two of the other companies who were not able to handle our event. The only service to get double recommendations from colleagues. I’ve never used an event planner before and was apprehensive about the cost, but WAH was very clear and responsive to our needs, and very fairly priced in line with the other services I checked.
Sarah’s services were very well worth it!!! Highly recommend!

Our experience with Without a Hitch was terrific. Sarah is a wonderful person, and helped us tremendously in pulling off an amazing wedding at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in a fairly short time period. She was a tremendous resource throughout our planning process, and kept us on track to complete our timeline. Having her with us on the day of the wedding was like having a trusted sister or friend with us whom we knew we could rely. Throughout the planning process, she was in regular communication with us by email or phone. She was the voice of wisdom who helped us when we were stuck on certain decisions. Her involvement made all the difference. We cannot thank her enough. We were also fortunate to have an intern with us on the day of the wedding, who was lovely and helpful as well. All around, hiring Without a Hitch was a decision we are very grateful to have made.

As my husband and I reflect back on our choice of vendors for our wedding day and our wedding planning, one key detail, person, choice emerges: the presence of Nicole and Without a Hitch.
Nicole, with her gentle reminders and awesome advice, helped us craft our day using their wonderful timeline, countless emails and phone calls, and vendor referrals from the get-​go. I immediately felt at ease and productive with her on our team. All of this hard work, including helping with our rehearsal, is BEFORE our actual wedding day, by the way!
On the evening of our wedding, between our rehearsal and wedding day, my parents, our officiant (a family friend), and the wedding party kept commenting that they felt so comforted and ready knowing Nicole would be helping everyone at our wedding. She was such a welcomed, kind, and organized presence at our wedding. I am not sure what behind-​the-​scenes magic she worked that day, but I know it must have been thorough, wonderful and purposeful, because my family and I simply got to enjoy the wedding and reap the benefits of her hard work. If anything went wrong that day, we had no idea – and I think this is the true testament to the quality of Nicole’s work.
There is really nothing more that I can say beyond: hiring a day of coordinator is the best decision you will make, and when you make that decision, choose Without a Hitch. You will, without a doubt, be in excellent hands.

Sarah of Without a Hitch was a fantastic resource in the final stages of our wedding planning. She helped us set up a timeline for the wedding day and helped keep us on track with the various tasks leading up to the day. (We needed a little prodding on some tasks.) We hesitated to use a wedding coordinator because we were concerned that they’d «take over» and turn the wedding into a day that didn’t reflect our personalities. Fortunately, the concern was unfounded as Sarah was very flexible and non-​judgmental about our requests. I really don’t know who would have made our wedding day run smoothly if we didn’t have her there.

Hiring Sarah is without a doubt one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. She was not just a great resource throughout our planning she was simply fantastic the day of the wedding. Throughout the planning she was in regular communication with me either over email, or the phone and was incredibly available to me the week prior when I was freaking out a little. The day of the wedding she was on time, professional and incredibly friendly to my friends and family. Looking back on my wedding day, I was calm and relaxed and knew that Sarah had everything under control. After dealing with lots of pushy day of coordinators who made me feel like I was just a little bride who didn’t know what I was doing, Alisha was a very refreshing change. We had several less-​than-​perfect moments during the reception and planning period caused by issues from our vendors, and Alisha handled them with ease and grace; our guests still can’t stop gushing about our wedding.

Sarah B. from Without a Hitch provided exactly what we needed on our wedding day! We hired her as a day-​of coordinator to help ensure that any issues that arose would not have to be managed by the bride, groom, or parents/​bridal party. Included in the day-​of package are two pre-​wedding meetings which were extraordinarily helpful. Sarah had thought of questions that never would have crossed our minds and because of her we were able to make all of the arrangements we needed for our day to go smoothly. On the wedding day itself she made sure that everything went according to plan. If anything went wrong I certainly didn’t know about it! We were so pleased with Sarah’s services and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a day-​of planner. Working with Rebecca was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! We had a few issues come up with our rental company not showing up on time, and then not bringing all of our rentals, but I was able to stay calm and relaxed while Rebecca held down the fort and took care of everything! Hiring Without a Hitch was the best decision my wife and I made when planning our wedding. We had heard from our friends that hiring a wedding coordinator was a must, but weren’t 100% convinced. In the end, I’m so so glad we did. I work full time and my wife is a medical student, and while we are both very organized, we got married during the school year when neither of us could take time off. I knew we had to go with Without a Hitch from the first phone call when they asked if we had a noise permit for our backyard wedding — something I never would have thought of on my own. It was invaluable to have Rebecca’s help in the months leading up to our wedding to bounce ideas off of, help us find vendors, and develop our timeline. We also designed our entire ceremony ourselves with my brother-​in-​law as our officiant and would have been completely lost without Rebecca’s help.
However, as great as Rebecca was leading up to the wedding, she was even better in person. It was such a weight off my shoulders to show up at our rehearsal and know that she would be in charge of running the show. The day of our wedding she was a complete life-​saver! We had a significant delay between the salad and entrée courses of our dinner due to a catering mishap, and Rebecca skillfully switched around our toasts to fill the time. We had several other small issues throughout the night that she expertly navigated – I simply cannot imagine what we would have done without her!
I would recommend Without a Hitch to anyone getting married in the Boston area — they will take a huge weight off your shoulders and most of all make sure that you enjoy your wedding while letting someone else worry about the details.

Hiring Without a Hitch was a lifesaver for our DIY wedding. There was so much to do on the big day, and Rebecca handled it all flawlessly, so my groom & I were able to just enjoy ourselves! From the planning process before the wedding to the final clean up that night, WAH was totally on top of everything, offering helpful suggestions and considering every detail. If you are doing a DIY wedding, you NEED them!

Hiring Sarah was the best investment we could have made prior to our wedding. Our dream was to have a completely DIY, ‘camp-​style’ wedding on Cape Cod. At the outset, this seemed simple enough. However, once we actually started dealing with the practicalities– finding a tent, booking the caterer, and making sure that everything arrived on time, all while having full-​time day jobs– we realized that even our ‘simple’ vision was going to be a huge job. Sarah’s experience and much-​needed organizational skills kept us on track throughout, and she left us in a position where we could actually enjoy our big day. She was great with email and phone contact, and was absolutely on-​point when coordinating all of the wedding vendors. Everything went off without a hitch, and she was instrumental in making our day memorable and happy. On top of that, she has a calming, upbeat presence that was invaluable when we were feeling overwhelmed. Hire Sarah. For real. She is wonderful!

Going into wedding planning, I knew that the only way my husband and I would be able to relax on the day-​of would be to have someone we trusted to handle all of the details. Without a Hitch did not disappoint! Nicole ran our rehearsal and served as our day-​of coordinator, and with her help, everything ran smoothly. She remained cheerful and unruffled through a stormy forecast and emergency rain-​plan adjustments, deftly handled a crazy cocktail of DIY décor/​self-​catered bar/​homemade dessert buffet, and made sure that we all had a wonderful time. We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to both Nicole and Sarah for all of their help in the lead-​up to the wedding; they offered suggestions for catering and flowers that were within our limited budget, emailed regularly to check-​in, both came on our venue walk-​through, and promptly responded to all of our many questions with helpful information. Their timeline-​centric way of planning also worked really well for envisioning the day and thinking through all the small details ahead of time, and we felt 100% comfortable leaving the execution in Nicole’s hands on the day of the wedding.
We cannot recommend Without a Hitch highly enough! They are consummate professionals and a true pleasure to work with. And if you’re on the fence about hiring a day-​of coordinator, give them a call immediately. It will only take one conversation for you to see that Nicole and Sarah are well worth the investment!

Sarah is amazing, and Without a Hitch is exactly what we needed! From our introductory phone call to every call, email, and meeting, Sarah was on top of every detail and made sure that we were, too. And our wedding day was perfect, from the moment setup began til the last light turned off and everyone went home. Every single time we needed anything, Sarah was right there focused in on the details while the big picture swirled beautifully all around. Our list could go on and on of all the help she provided (especially in thinking ahead and planning for the day); schedules, vendor management, decoration support, ceremony flow. ‘Doing it ourselves’ was the plan, but our wedding wouldn’t have been as incredible without Sarah’s guidance and help. Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with! She is so unbelievably organized and dedicated, and she efficiently makes sure the schedule is ready for the wedding and the wedding day runs completely smoothly. As soon as I started working with her, I felt a huge relief — I could email her any detail at any time of the day and she would respond quickly that she was taking care of it. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Sarah did a fantastic job pulling together all of the details on the day of our wedding. She was patient and helpful as we planned our wedding from a distance and she made sure to have plenty of conversations with us leading up to the event so that everything ran smoothly. She also did a great job of working with other vendors to keep the day exactly how we wanted. There were so many things I could hand over to her to handle on the day which made everything so much more enjoyable!

I have to agree with the other reviews here. Sarah was enormously helpful in not only the day-​of coordination (which is what we paid her for), but also the weeks leading up to the big day. My fiancé’s stress level dropped significantly once we brought Sarah into the mix. Sarah seemed to just «get» what my fiancé was envisioning for everything, and the day-​of would have been a disaster without her!
Especially if you’re doing a DIY wedding, HIRE SARAH. She’s a commando.

She goes just above and beyond, and puts in all her energy. Extremely responsive. Super organized and quick. Somehow always seems to understand what you’re talking about. Always on your side and always friendly.
She managed all the vendor contacts, put together a dynamite timeline, and kept everything (and everybody) on point. It was especially critical because we hired a non-​traditional wedding band without any formal MC experience. But she worked with us closely to make it all happen… without a hitch!
We wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the day at all if it wasn’t for Sarah. You can’t even imagine how much there is to do the day of (and the days leading up). We’re so glad we hired her and would recommend her a thousand times over!
