I heard about this place from a friend who informed me that this was the place to find an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who wasn’t going to gouge me on price. After two separate dealings with John at Leether I am in full agreement. Gone are the days of driving away from a visit to the mechanic feeling like I just got screwed or feeling like the dumbest person on the planet. One big job which was done quickly and correctly at a reasonable cost and a smaller job which John could have easily turned into a big job if he was inclined. Both times everything was explained to me in easy to understand terms by a very patient John. Here is another reason why I will keep going back to Leether’s. My first time there was for a rather involved job. As I was driving away I heard the squeal of a fan belt from under my hood. I kept driving as I was on the way to work. Minutes later my phone rang. It was John at Leether telling me that he heard the squeal and to being the car back at my convenience and he would tighten up that belt while I waited. I did bring it back and 5 minutes later I was on my way squeal free. My last visit was as comforting as the first. They could have taken advantage of me but did not. He also had trouble trying to reproduce an issue that I was having but told me to come back when conditions were more favorable to reproducing the issue and he would check again while I waited. That’s excellent service.
