Sassu Cuts

I discovered Sassu last year. While I did love the place and guy I had been going to, he took way too long and was far away… meaning I would have to set aside practically a whole day for a cut and color. I tried a few salons closer, but wasn’t really happy until I found Sassu. When I called they booked me with Chloe. I had hopes after reading reviews… but was so blown away by the cut and color… and by Chloe herself that I have been back four more times and will continue to come back! She is a sweet and personable stylist… always takes the time for an honest consult… has great suggestions… and in the end does a fabulous job on hair. The salon itself is bright and clean… the other employees are always friendly… and the place has a good feel to it. I haven’t had my hair done by the other stylists, but their work always looks really nice… and people look happy on their way out the door… plus they all seem fun to talk to. Highly recommend trying Sassu!

Chloe was awesome! I needed a change from my plain Jane long dark hair and she gave me an awesome ombré!!!

Came here after having terrible customer service from the owner of the last barbershop I frequented for the past 8 years. I have Chloe as my barber and she is great! Fast and proficient, she is a pleasure to talk to. Sassu is a nice place to get a hair cut and they take appointments and have late weekday hours!

I had been looking for a great hair dresser and I have found one. Chloe had never met me before. I described the hair cut I desired and she knew exactly how to cut my hair. One of the best haircuts in recent history. I will definately be back:)

Sassu cuts is a family friendly hair salon. Joe and his staff did an excellent job with my family, very happy with their services and will be going back again!

Jordan is really the best hairstylist I have ever had. He really knows hair and cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. He is very upbeat and is a true professional. The price was reasonable and I will definitely return.

After reading reviews for dozens of salons and asking around, I decided to give Sassu Cuts a try. It was the best decision ever!
For years the only decent quality services I could find would cost me a fortune. The rest were mediocre at best, leaving my hair dull or even damaged. Not to mention I had to drive to other towns looking hopefully for a salon that would meet (or possibly even exceed) my expectations. Little did I know that right here in Bristol I would find such a gem.
Sassu Cuts is a cozy salon with no frills, as it is clean, sunny and open. There was a steady stream of customers from morning through afternoon (I have a lot of hair & went in for a major revamp), all waiting no more than about 5 minutes and clients weren’t rushed or mass moved like a drive through. Very important as this shows that they don’t over book clients.
Joe & Jordan take time to consult/​evaluate before just jumping in. They are knowledgable, professional, friendly, and really listen to what the client wants and their concerns.
My color repair & highlights blended perfectly, and the Moroccan Mask treatment left my coarse, dry hair feeling like butter. The cut was perfect! I feel like a completely new woman after so many disappointments with salons in the past.
To top it off, the prices are very reasonable and I would’ve paid more for the quality services I received. There is also a nice selection of products but not too many like so many other salons.
If you’re looking for quality, personality & affordability this is the place! Something that is so difficult to find these days. I’m beyond pleased and finally have found myself a new salon for many years to come.

I’ve been having the owner, Joe, do my hair for the past year now. I love going platinum blonde but have never been able to have a stylist keep it healthy as well as maintaining to keep it super blonde. Joe does an absolutely amazing color job as well as a nice job styling and cutting my hair. Sometimes I get the conditioning treatments which leave my hair feeling really healthy! I love the feel of The salon because it has a cozy feel and a cute look to it. Prices are very reasonable for the services provided and time they spend to make your hair look great. The best hair stylist I have ever had.

I absolutely love the job that was done on my hair. My hair stylist was Joe, and he really knows hair. I went from over dried processed highlights to beautiful shiny healthy highlights. It has made a very big difference in my hair and appearance. I receive soo many compliments about the color and the cut. I couldn’t be any happier. The entire staff is very professional and very comforting. They really take the time with each client. And the salon is very clean with a NYC flair! I look forward to telling more people about Sassu Cuts!

It’s great to know you don’t have to go to Boston or New York to have an experience at an amazing salon! My hair was in bad shape until I met Jordan Galvin at Sassu Cuts. He turned my dry and damaged hair into a work of art. He blowed dry my hair and never used a curling iron, and I felt like a movie star with the results. I stopped at a friend’s afterwards and she couldn’t believe the difference!!! This young man knows how to cut hair, highlight hair, and blow dry it like a true professional! I had gone to another salon in Waterbury for 22 years, and wasn’t treated with the kindness that I received from this salon. The owner Joe Sassu and the staff is very friendly and make it a pleasurable experience every time you go there. I have really curly hair, and I have never found another salon in the Bristol area that can do anything with it. If you want to feel like a millon bucks, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Jordan while he’s still taking Clients!!!

I had an amazing time here. The man that owns the place really gave me all the attention and gave me one of the best haircuts ever.
He does a great job putting colors together and telling you whats the right look for you. I loved it!
He did get a stain on my shirt and I was bit upset about that.
