History
Established in 1966.
In 1966, the Reverend Charles Bledsoe founded the Episcopal Day School in a church facility in Bristol, Virginia.
In 1977, having outgrown this location, the independent school moved across town to Martin Hall on the campus of recently closed Sullins College. At that time the school was renamed Sullins Academy, to emphasize both its new location and its non-sectarian nature.
In 1999, Sullins Academy moved to the newly constructed 40,500 square foot facility, located on 32 acres, where it resides today.
