Specialties

B.F.A. offers our customers three services:

–NRA: Basic Pistol Shooting,

Recommended for Beginners this is an 8.0hr course that teaches you pistol identification, components, handling, cleaning, maintenance, shooting fundamentals, proper storage & transportation of firearms & ammunition in accordance to Mass law. This course also includes a live fire portion, student booklet & both the NRA B.P.S. & Mass B.F.S. certificates.

–Course cost: $ 150.00

–Mass State Police: Basic Firearms Safety,

Recommended for students who’ve had previous exposure to firearms, this is a 2.0hr course that teaches basic firearm safety, storage & transportation in accordance to Mass Law. This course includes a student packet & Mass State Police B.F.S. certificate.

–Course cost: $ 75.00

–Rhode Island Concealed Carry Qualification:

This qualification is required when applying for or renewing a R.I. Concealed Carry permit. This qualification is pass or fail, any student that fails to qualify will have one additional attempt to qualify on the same day and time. If unable to qualify on either attempt the student must reschedule (if desired) at an additional charge. Please ensure that you bring all required paperwork to the appointment.

–Qualification cost: $ 50.00

Note: The cost does not include Targets, ammunition or firearm rental (if required). The appointment allows for (20) rounds of practice and the (30) round qualification.

Established in 2012.

The B.F.A. was created to give those interested in applying for a pistol permit (L.T.C.) in Mass or R.I. an option other than a 45 minute class taught by a boring old guy who uses out of date & inaccurate information while putting you to sleep! B.F.A. works hard to keep all of our information as updated & accurate as possible, just for YOU! In our classes you will handle real firearms, not plastic FAKES or laser tag toys.

Hello, I own Brockton Firearms Academy. I’ve been handling firearms since I was a small child & a certified NRA, Massachusetts & Rhode Island firearms instructor for approx. 3.0 years now. I enjoy instructing new like minded people on how to SAFELY handle & use firearms.
