Custom Cuts Tree Care is a fully insured tree service providing tree trimming, removal, pruning, and other tree care services.

History

Established in 2008.

Brad, the owner, received his MBS from Oklahoma State University. Though he always wanted to open his own business, he accepted a job in aviation being the marketing manager for an ad-​hoc private charter company.

After several years in the industry and 9/​11, Brad left the industry to pursue other interests. After working for a local tree company for almost two years, the decision was made to go into business for himself.

Plans to open the business January 1, 2008 were changed due to the major ice storm of December 2007.

Custom Cuts Tree Care has grown from two employees to eight and has become a significant player in the greater Tulsa tree care market. Custom Cuts maintains that through social media and word of mouth, conventional advertising such as yellow pages and billboards is avoided. This dramatically reduces our costs and that savings is passed on to our customers.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Brad graduated from Jenks High School and began going to college while opening his first business. For several years Brad was a professional musician playing several times a week while trying to maintain good college grades.

In 1995, Brad received his undergraduate from NSU in Business Administration. Later in 2000, Brad received his MBA from OSU. An aviation company was holding interviews at the campus and ultimately offered the job to Brad.

In 2003, Brad left the aviation industry for other horizons, namely in pursuit of opening his own business. Not being the typical 9 to 5 desk employee, Brad decided that a tree business would offer several of his passions: being outside, meeting new and interesting people, and performing a service that is quite dangerous to the satisfaction of his customers.

Brad is married to Steph and they and their six children live in Broken Arrow.
