History

Established in 1975.

Galaxy Home Recreation originally started as Billiards of Tulsa in 1975. Billiards of Tulsa thrived in the heart of Brookside and grew into Galaxy Distributing on 11^th and Memorial. In the 80s, Galaxy operated over 2000 arcade and vending machines including your favorites — Pac-​man and Galaga. As the arcade craze subsided in the 80s, Galaxy Distributing focused on being Oklahoma’s one-​stop home recreation shop. From pool tables and arcades, Galaxy expanded into hot tubs, patio furniture, Swing Sets, home theater, table games, barstools, gameroom furniture, Above Ground pools and much more.

To display all our home recreation offerings, Galaxy opened its 30,000 sq. ft. showroom on Admiral in the early 90s. And, that’s where we’re still at today. In the mid 90s, Galaxy opened its 2^nd store in Oklahoma City at 4335 West Reno. And, more recently, we opened our 3^rd store in Broken Arrow Ok. We proudly deliver, setup and service the entire state of Oklahoma, Southern Kansas, Northern Texas
