SJ Karate Dojo– Club «SJK» is an organization that is most interested in teaching children and adults, traditional karate and self-​defense, in a safe, respectful, fun, positive, and family environment. Our Instructors have several years of experience working with children and adults. Our strength is empowering students to develop effective and usable martial arts techniques which enable them to achieve their own success, self-​confidence, discipline, as martial arts followers.

SJK proudly announces a developed, appropriate and practical curriculum for children and adults of all ages, who are interested in learning Martial Arts, as a lifestyle, regardless if candidates have or not any experience or karate background. At SJKD, we teach traditional Shotokan karate,

History

Established in 1995.

The SJ Karate Dojo –Club in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is a family oriented organization and truly committed to teaching Martial Arts, in a friendly, effective, realistic, and motivating environment. Come develop muscle strength and your core, build confidence and self-​esteem, improve your stability and facilitate powerful movements as you learn precise techniques.

Instructors are Martial Arts Practitioners with more than 30 years of experience.

First Karate Dojo was opened in South America in year 1985, later was re-​opened in Utah in year 1995. In 2010, SJKD became part of the Olympic Karate Association, led by Shihan Al Machail, 6th Degree Black Belt. In 2013 Dojo moved to South Jordan, Utah, and currently we open a new location in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Meet the Business Owner

Sensei David C.

Business Owner

Sensei David A Crosby, was born and raised in Peru and moved to the United States in 1993. He became involved with Martial Arts about 33 years ago, and he earned a First Degree Black Belt in his native country. He competed in South America and North America.

Mr. Crosby has been teaching karate for about 30 years, in Peru, Texas, Utah, and Oklahoma. His Dojo students achieved several trophies and medals in official tournaments for the last eight years. Sensei David received his Sandan from his Shihan Al Machail and the Associate Instructors of the Texas Olympic Karate Association and Olympic Karate Dojo (OKD).

Sensei David is a National Referee of the United States National Karate Federation (USA-​NKF,) and an accredited coach and official.

Sensei David is a Professional Counselor, a community activist, and he holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling Psychology and Rehabilitation, and a Master’s Degree in Management. He is happily married to Sensei Seleny Crosby.
