Addeo’s Riverdale Pizzeria

Addeo’s is a great option for grabbing a slice, or for a catering order! I’ve eaten in store several times, and the pizza is always solid. The catering is great as well. Laurence provides great service and always anticipates what you will need. He’s helped me with catering for work events as well as personal, and every time I am impressed. In addition to professional, friendly service, the food is great. Every time I’ve used Addeo’s catering services, everyone wants to know where the food is from because it’s so good!

Among the worst pizza I have ever tasted in all of NYC in my life. $ 2.75 for a slice and what do you get? A product that ranges from mediocre to poor. Mediocre at best. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and all the rave reviews you read on here are out of touch with reality. Of course people give the place 5 stars, hello there is no other pizza places around here! So I guess that means that mediocre dried pizza with no flavor is good? I guess so. When you come to the front counter you see food that looks likes its been left out for a while. They heat it up and it tastes like… well like something you reheated at home after a week. Sause is bland… and sause makes the slice! Yeah the sause sucks. Being brutally honest here. I wish I can give it 0 stars that’s how much I hate this shop. Look, when there is no competition in the neighborhood you can open up a mediocre pizza shop and OF COURSE people will praise it! You can charge customers stupid prices and people will pay! Duh… its the only pizza here. The nearest shop is 6 blocks away from here. When you walk by there is no nice pizza smell inviting you inside. It is average at best and thats only a rare thing. When you look at their selection nothing looks freshly made… ever. 10 dollars for a salad? Really? Really? 22 dollars for a large meat pizza? People will really pay for crap when there are no other alternatives! I love pizza and I have to give up eating it in my neighborhood cause people would rather settle to buy a mediocre poor product and eat it than have no pizza at all. I can only assume these customers had never had a fresh slice, if they did they would most certainly agree. I never use Unilocal or even write reviews but I had to for this one. I had to! ADDLEO’S PIZZERIA IN RIVERDALE SUCKS!!! Thank you for reading and have a nice day. If you want a mediocre bland pizza come to Addleo’s! :)

I just ordered rigatoni with sausage and broccoli from them through the Unilocal portal. I entered my credit card info and address. It’s like ordering from Amazon. You view their menu, choose what you want and your choices are entered into your cart. You can change your mind and choose again. When you are ready, add your tip and check out. My food was here in less than half an hour.
It was delivered hot and tasty. What a great service. No phone calls!

The pizza and the carrot cake are great. I have had food delivered from here many times — service is quick and have never had an issue. Staff are friendly and they appreciate the business.

This place is so good! I recently spent 2.5 weeks in NYC and found myself going three days in a row. WHOOPS! Not including the time we ordered pasta or I sent someone to get me a slice.
I really like their sauce – it’s on the sweeter side which adds so much flavor to their slices and their penne a la vodka with grilled chicken is perfection.
The service here is always great when I walk in and I’ve never had to wait long for delivery.

I always order from them when I need a pizza fix. They have a great personal size pizza. Just enough sauce and cheese! A foodie would love it. Just make sure you get a thin crust.

I order delivery from Addeos often and have never been disappointed. The food is carefully prepared and very attractively presesnted. The salads are works of art, very pretty.

The food here is absolutely delicious, and the service is quick and friendly My chicken parm was really tender, and my wife loved her chicken francese. I also used a Groupon without any issues. They also participate in the
discount program.

I found a Groupon to get $ 30 for $ 15 so decided to try. Got the wings, garlic bread, and meat lovers pizza. Everything was pretty good however I don’t care for my wings to be breaded since with sauce they get pretty soggy. They didn’t have garlic knots so we had to settle for garlic bread which was just a tad bit over cooked but not bad. They pizza was good I just understand why the chicken on it was fried instead of grilled.

They make some great pizza here! The crust is perfect and crispy, Sauce is flavorfull and they always put just enough cheese! I have also had the chicken parm hero and it is great as well! Also the best part are the Bastone’s from Arthur ave.

Addeo’s has really excellent food. It is one of the better Italian food restaurants in the Riverdale area. Their pizza is excellent, the pasta dishes are big, and the traditional Italian entrees like Chicken Marsala are delicious.
I also want to mention that they have EXCELLENT customer service. I recently had a problem with a delivery — the owner called me personally to apologize and offered to make it right for me. I really appreciated it and will continue to eat at Addeo’s often because of it.

New to the area and ordered delivery for the first time. Everything was fantastic. The zucchini sticks are awesome and while most end up soggy during delivery these stayed crisp and had great flavor. Salad was great. Best of all was the pizza. Definitely try the stuffed pizza. You can customize it with any toppings you like and it’s all stuffed between 2 crusts. Will certainly order from here again :-)

Only stopped by because I was working nearby and was hungry.
I only had a bbq chicken slice, and initially I was a little appalled at the price, but then I realized the slice was pretty big. Worked out well. Tasted just fine to me too. Enough chicken on the slice to justify the price as well.

This has been my local pizzeria since I moved to Riverdale. I’ve been very satisfied with them, and I’m pretty picky with my pizza, as a native New Yorker. I usually go in for food, but when I’ve ordered in I have not had the problems that others mention — my orders have always been correct.

I use to order from Riverdale Pizza at least once a week until they became inconsistent and unpleasant. The food ranges from excellent to just ok. I’ve had to call back twice after receiving a delivery because the food was missing ingredients and that is when the unpleasantness begins. They become rude and are unwilling to fix their mistakes.
I won’t say they are all bad… when they are on top of their game the food taste great.

The Pizza is very good here… I just had a chesse pizza. it was really good… the staff was very polite… I will come back if I’m in the area…

So I have ordered from Riverdale Pizza many times since I moved to Riverdale over 2 years ago. I have always liked their food, until now. At around 12:30 pm, my bff and I ordered food for delivery (personal pan fresh ground sausage and cheese, and 16 piece plain buffalo wings). The kid who took our order seemed very out of it, almost as if he were high or hungover. He could not find fresh ground sausage on the menu and told us about 3 times that the wings «don’t come plain». After expressing that we don’t want sauce on the wings, we gave him our credit card to pay. He couldn’t process the number info and didn’t take the security code down correctly to process the payment. 3 phone calls later, we just opted to pay with cash.
After my food arrived, halfway through my pizza, I noticed PUBIC HAIRS on top of one of the slices of pizza. MULTIPLE DISGUSTING PUBES ON MY FOOD!!! My roommate was in the middle of opening the chicken when she heard me scream and gag. After seeing the hairy grossness, she looked at her chicken wings and more than half of them still had multiple feathers on them that had been fried to a crisp! Now, one can only guess how pubes got baked into my pizza.
I call back and ask for the manager, when some guy named «Daryna» or something gets on and pretends to be the manager (he could barely speak audible English btw). So after I tell him that if he’s pretending to be the manager, I’m gonna try my best to get him fired, he admits that he indeed is NOT the manager and that he is just in charge until Julio, the manager, comes in. He informs me that Julio will be in around 3pm.
I call back at 4pm and I speak with Julio, and believe it or not, the asshole starts to laugh when I tell him that there were pubic hairs in my food. After he gets my address and composes himself, he asks me what would I like for him to do. I first say that I would like for him to take into account the seriousness of someones pubic hairs in my food. If that someone has an STD or a communicable disease and I ingested those hairs, that is my health at risk. Not to mention the absolute DISGUST AND FILTH of finding hairs in your food! I also ask him how funny does he think it’ll be when I contact the Board of Health. I ask who the owner is and I demand a refund. He stops laughing and tells me that the owner is away until Monday and his name is «Lawrence». He assures me that he will send the delivery back with my cash refund. 47 minutes later a very scared looking kid named «Danny» comes and returns the cash. He tells me that «Julio» told him not to leave without taking the food back with him. i tell him that I am saving the dishes to show Lawrence when I speak with him on Monday. Terrified, the poor kid begs us to tell Julio this (which we did when I called to inquire why it takes 47 minutes to send back our cash when we live less than 5 blocks away). As he turns to leave, he offers a sincere apology and states he is really sorry that this happened. Out of all the people we spoke with, pretend manager, and real manager, this kid was the only one who offered an apology.
I have pictures of my hairy pizza and hairy chicken and I made a complaint with the Board of Health and Food Safety.
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

I’ve been going to Riverdale Pizza for years, and ever since Laurence took over this place, the attention to detail and the quality of food has improved tremendously. A couple of hard facts:
1)Eggplant Parm can play ball with ANYBODY’S…even the great ones on Arthur Ave.
2)Addition of Addeos bread makes the hero’s better as Addeo’s bread is the best bread from Arthur Ave PERIOD
3)Great specialty slices… best around… hands down
4)Laurence doesn’t cut corners. He will always do the right thing… customer satisfaction guaranteed.
5)No, I’m not getting free food for posting this review… its the truth… Plain and simple.
