Arturos has a lot of contrast. For one their serving sizes are huge and hearty. But their service is lacking. On what must be considered prime time(Friday night) I rolled through and ordered a slice that had toppings placed already. Somehow people who placed their orders after mine got theirs first. The lady who I placed my order with was doing too many things at once, I voiced my dissatisfaction and got an older gentlemen behind the counter mumbling about how it was crazy(busy) right now. There was a younger guy making pizzas behind the counter and he saw the whole thing and didn’t say anything. I don’t expect the Ritz, but customer service had no meaning here. One cool thing about Arturos is that the owner and what I assume to be his family actually make their own pizza. It makes it just that much more authentic. The pizza is pretty good, not bad, but not award worthy. Don’t come here looking for ambiance, the décor is straight from 1995.

Difficult to explain just what makes this place so bad — it actually has so-so food and really good garlic knots. But the overwhelmingly negative attitude that the owners/managers have towards the customers and unpredictable(but generally long) delivery times are just not worth it. They have also recently increased their prices and decreased their(previously enormous, to be fair) portions. It’s Marble Hill — elsewhere you can get better quality food for a better price and where the people don’t hate you.

I find myself coming here one, after Target trips when I’m desperately starving and can’t make it 10 minutes home to my own kitchen, or two, if I’m heading to the Marble Hill MetroNorth station and I need some travel noms. They got a solid slice of cheese, a solid slice of white, and a solid slice of Sicilian. It’s convenient and delicious. I do want to expand my palette there, someday, and they have some pretty appealing sandwich combos on the menu.

Arturos Pizza has the best Antipasto Salad ever. It’s layered with tons of pepperoni ham and mozzarella cheese. 7 $ will get you a large that is definitely shareable. It’s not the first time ordering it but for the next I will ask them to hold the black olives.

Ordered for delivery last night. Everything tasted perfectly fine! 4 hours later me and my entire family had food poisoning for the burgers. Don’t do it.

Oh my gosh… Tonight was the first time I ordered from here! My food was delivered within 30 minutes, the food got here hot! I was surprised that the penne alla vodka was so delicious! Probably the best I’ve had in a while! I can honestly say I’ve never tasted with so much flavor! The only thing I did not enjoy was the onions. I hate onions and I felt like they had so many of those bad boys in there. Big, small, skinny, big, the onions were in every shape and size. But hey, the pasta was so good, I didn’t mind eating around them! Can’t wait to order from here again.

I’ve been eating from Arturo’s for a very long time. I keep ordering because the pizzas are just the way I like them. Perfect balance of bread, cheese and sauce. The bread is not too crispy, which suits me right down to the ground. My only gripes are that the delivery takes way too long. Over an hour wait is acceptable on Super Bowl Sunday, but on a regular Tuesday? I think not. There are many other delivery options that are much faster.(Estrellita Poblana on 231st St., never longer than half an hour!). Second, they have a hit or miss record on the accuracy of your order. My standard order is usually a combo pie, but I’ve been sent meat lover’s, and once a spinach pie. Both really tasty, but not what I ordered. Overall, I do recommend Arturo’s, even if it’s like playing pizza roulette sometimes. Order early to offset the lengthy delivery time and enjoy!

Lunch time summons something local in DABRONX. I’ve eaten at Arturo’s Pizzeria for two lunch times already. The first time was for 2 pcs of fried chicken with French Fries and biscuit $ 5.00 which I did not get a biscuit as it was substituted with one garlic knot. The chicken was good and the shoe string Fries was edible. The wait was nearly fifteen minutes with one cook taking his sweet time. The second time was for one regular pizza slice $ 2.50 served extremely pipping hot that burnt my mouth. Seating is limited in a dark and dingy, dilapidated and very dated setting. Price is very reasonable compared to Manhattan. Servers and cooks are fluent in Spanish.

We used to be loyal customers. We always forgave their mistakes because they’re a neighborhood place. NOMORE! They are completely incompetent. How hard is it to read your special requests — and furthermore, why even bother having that section if YOU’RENOTGOINGTOREADIT?!! We will NEVER order from them again, walk-in, delivery, nothing. They are the worst. If you want what you order — don’t order from them.

I really love their penne a la vodka, as it’s the best I’ve ever had. There must be a secret recipe they are using. The bread rolls are delicious, as well. Not sure about anything else.

I used to really like the food and service from Arturo’s, but, their drivers have become super rude and combative. The food orders is never done right, its always late, the drivers never come upstairs to bring the food. So they have gotten mad that as of late, I don’t tip. Why reward poor service? The driver tonight(didn’t catch his name) was pretty rude and aggressive about not being tipped. I’ll never order again from Arturo’s. Here’s a tip, get the orders done right and out on time, and perhaps you’d be rewarded with a deserving tip. Such nerve.

Arturo’s Pizzeria is a well kept New York secret. I just visited NYC this weekend and my friend took me this pizzeria. Other than Gino’s East Pizza, this is the best pizza I have ever eaten. Whether it’s the dough, the cheese, the sauce, the toppings, or the hilarious commentary by the Italian man running the place, this is a unique experience. I came back multiple times over the course of one weekend and tried different flavors of pizza(cheese is a classic here!) and the Eggplant Parmesan Hero. Delicious! Great service, great food, and I will be coming back here when I return to NYC.

I absolutely love this place. Pizza and pretty much all of the food on the menu tastes great. Buffalo wings are amaZing as well as the burgers. This place has been around for over 25 years and I understand why. I hear that they are going to renovate the interior of the entire place which I agree is due time. Can’t wait for the renovations but other than that the food is great!

I ordered from here twice and both timrs i was not disappointed. I live quite a distance away and the food was delivered hot and fresh. The portions were large and flavors were great. The chicken parm was not greasy and the large order had enough for three meals. The garlic knots were perfect as ordered with light garlic. The only issue is the wait for delivery. Both times the food arrived in about an hour. However this will not stop me from ordering again. Give them a try.

I have had my issues with this place. They take a long time so if you are hungry/starving don’t bother. The pizza is good not the best. The hot dishes are what keep me coming back. They do tend to mess up orders. The prices are good. I wish they had dessert other then the balls of dough with powder sugar. Those are also a hit or miss. But the food comes hot and I have been ordering for years. The delivery man is super nice. Over all if you like italian try this place at least once. It’s not for everyone.

Been going to this place ever since I was a kid. Whenever I’m in NY I definitely stop by and have one of their huge slices. The pizza is all I ever get from there and I’ve never had a complaint. Owners have been running the place for over 20 years! Great staff.

The pizza they just delivered smells bad, like a dirty broiler. As I was inspecting my slice to see what carried such stank the cheese fell away and I realized Arturo’s had put new cheese on a skanky old pizza. So, I’ve paid $ 24 for garbage.

This is quite possibly the WORST pizza I have ever had in my life. Sadly I write this bad review because they gave me a free order of zeppolis. Margarita pizza DOESNOT have squares of deli cheese on it. It has FRESH mozz. Sprinkled on dried basil does NOT qualify as the fresh basil leaves that belong on a margarita pizza. This horrible abomination called a pie also arrived lukewarm. I ate one slice and I will try to «fix» it myself tomorrow.
