Blink Fitness

I attended this gym regularly and there seems to be only one professional person there (I can only describe her as a black young woman who usually checks me in on weekday night), everyone else should be retrained or fired and never left unsupervised. Today, Wednesday January the 6^th was perhaps the most annoying most unrelaxing workout of my life due to the loud rude staff. At 10:40 they started yelling «15 min left» and multiple people continued to yell until 10:55 when I went into the locker room to quickly put on my shoes and jacket, as I usually do. At one point they gathered and started talking loudly in the middle of the gym and using the equipment. Then when I was in the locker room, with another paying customers, they gathered in front of the locker rooms yelling and flickered the lights in the woman’s locker room at 10:58 pm. I’m very aware that the gym closes at 11:00 and always leave on time. The staff ruined my workout and another experience like this and I will switch gyms. It felt like I was a child at summer camped being bullied by childish camp councilors.

Nice quiet facility. Small and moderate traffic. Convenient location, great staff and I never feel uncomfortable working out there. Always tidy… includes showers. private lockers. I wish they had digital scales though… my only complaint. :) You should join.

After numerous attempts to speak with a manager, I’m leaving this review in hopes that they’ll see it and do something about their poor customer service.
My first day in the gym was to pick up my key card and have my photo taken.
I was greeted and helped by a young woman whom I was very friendly to.
Unfortunately, she decided that was a greenlight to be completely unprofessional in front of me and continued to say «n-​gga and f-​ck» over and over in a really personal conversation with a coworker that really could have been had a different way. She had to speak that way to tell him she needed to go on break and he couldn’t go on his first because she was hungry.
Wow.
I actually had brought my mom, who is a fitness instructor, with me in case she wanted to join.
Suffice to say, we both left knowing we would NOT return or encourage others to join.
Not only did I NEVER come back after hearing the nonsense that came out of the young lady’s mouth, but I have called at least three times to rectify this situation with the manager (I want my gym changed or a refund because I’m not going to listen to profanity and racial slurs while I work out) and she still has not gotten back to me. I even contacted corporate TWICE and with no response from the manager.
So, they can have whatever pocket change I spent for the membership, but I’ll be going to a gym that’s not affiliated with Blink or Equinox from now on.
Word of advice:
Leave that kind of language outside of your place of employment.

There is nothing bad I can say about Blink except at times the bathroom can be filthy. There are no posers in the gym no men trying to hit on every woman in the gym. The time to go is in the mornings reason I say this is because at night its pretty packed. The workers at the front desk are always greeting their guest making us feel very welcomed. There is alot of cardio machines and not many benches for lifting.

If you are ever in need of an AWESOME trainer… ask for Sheila!!! Shes amazing and definitely knows what she is doing. You will leave there drenched in sweat and sore but thats the result of a GREAT workout!

The front desk ppl in the morning are so friendly and welcoming I am glad they are the morning crew. The staff at around 6 pm or so is not! Gym is not special but it’s not the worst. I wish they would have more squat racks since it’s a popular Machine and often busy for hours. Never have an issue getting a cardio machine. Just beware for the peak hours.

Parking is terrible but once you get inside you forget about all of that. Everyone actually goes there to workout. You don’t have to worry about people staring at you or trying hit on you.
Membership prices are awesome and they have packages that allow you to bring guests with you as well.

Have been going to this gym for about 2 years now. For what it cost and consists of this gym does it for me. I would give this gym a 3.5 star but unfortunately Unilocal doesn’t offer half stars.

–some people with bad hygiene
–wish it offered kickboxing or mma or boxing like NYSC.

–most workers are cool
–no lunk alarm

–Lot of free weights and different machines
–single membership $ 15 with guest $ 20
Overall this gym does it for me because they have plenty of weights and cardio machines. I go in and do my thing and leave. Reasonable price for what I’m getting. A lot better then the purple and yellow gyms.

About half the treadmills have been out since about April. April!
There is some kind of construction or asbestos or something going on in the back so about two rows of treadmills are off limits.
The weights area is basically a social meet and greet during peak hours.
Lots of grunters, so bring headphones.
Early in the AM the workers are eating in the entrance, so the gym has the aroma of bacon and eggs. Perfect for people who are trying lose a few pounds.

First off the staff is nice here. the only reason I’m giving a brief 4 stars is because they only have one power rack and two smith machines. This is an issue with blink management, but an important point to note. It’s super clean, cheap, and have never had any problems with billing or anything else.

I go to it when they open up (5am weekdays, 7am weekends) and you can get in a get your (serious) workout and done with, the best time to go.
As the day progressives the Posers (*A poser is someone who pretends to be something they’re not.) take over and the experience all goes downhill.
Waiting for equipment or leaving dumbbells all over the place; dudes spending more time posing for social media pictures than working out and the list goes on. Not the place to be during peak hours. That being said, the place is clean, equipment is maintained and staff are friendly and helpful.
In the end you get for what you pay for.

This gym is clean and well kept. The staff is amazing and they always try to help you. Every member at the gym is trying to get fit you rarely see anyone in there trying to show off. Its a very positive and and inviting environment.

Great gym! The only thing that I don’t like is that the gym members are really big distractions. People come in there profiling; trying to show off. For example, you don’t have to groan like you having sex to lift weights. Dudes walk around there with they shirts off doing stripper moves on the pull-​up bars in there and the chicks with big butts be showing off poking they ass out while you trying to legit work out. Like cmon man! gimme a break… LMAO. Other than that its an excellent gym, courteous professional staff, clean and up to date equipment. I also agree with another persons comment on here in reference to some juice head douchebag members hogging the weights and demonstrating no kind of gym etiquette.

I have been part of NYSC for years, attending gyms throughout the city, Brooklyn, and even the one in Morris Park. With that said, I have been to many different gyms. Never would I have expected a gym that costs $ 20/​month would top these gyms, but blink really does. The gym has everything one can ask for (minus a pool, but then again, for the price, can’t expect that), is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and professional. I am a frequent gym goer and really love this place. I am glad Parkchester finally allowed a gym to open a location here. I would strongly recommend this gym to anyone willing to be part of an amazing gym at a very affordable price.

I have been attending this Blink facility since October 2012, I find it very clean, the staff is very friendly and very rarely is there any waiting time to utilize the equipment.
I enjoy seeing a mature crowd that is serious about working out, living healthy and motivated around me as I work out. I think there is a good vibe to the members attending so far and how this gym hasn’t lost its touch.

Extremely clean and almost always empty, at least the aerobic machines are. The space to stretch can be scarce during peak hours and the area with free weights is always packed. BUT for $ 20/​month with unlimited guest privileges I am not complaining! Love Blink Fitness!

I worked out here today, during off-​peak hours. I found the gym to be very clean. The newness hasn’t worn off. This Gym is worth it’s price, if only for the Cardio. The Cardio Equipment is awesome. They are short on Weight Machines. Much better than Planet Fitness in Castle Hill.

The members are douchebags who scream at the top of their lungs, hog the weight machines and generally possess no gym etiquette.
The music blasts top volume here and the members scream at each other to be heard over the music.
If you have that much lung capacity to scream at your buddies, you aren’t working out hard enough.
why don’t you go to Starbucks across the street to «make conversation» with your friends?
Then there are the members who will walk by 15 unused machines just to use the machine right to you.
Asshats.
The staff with the exception of a young black dude with orange hair and a flirtatious hispanic manager are useless.

I’ve always been a fan of clubs with tons of different equipment and machines that use barbell plates for resistance, so at first I was apprehensive. All you will find at blink are stack weight machines, 2 smith machines, dumbbells and one barbell. Buuuuuuuuuuut, for the price I pay to go here, how clean it is, the pleasant and helpful staff; I have adapted my routine to fit the gym.
