Bronx And Inwood Locksmith

I got locked out of my apartment this morning, and chose this locksmith based on location. They state they’re about 15 minutes from my apartment in Inwood.
When I called, I was quoted $ 75 – 125 to open my door, and that he’d be arriving around 20 – 30 minutes. He arrived more 40 – 45 minutes, and my bill was $ 233.
I understand price may vary depending on the work reviewed upon arrival, but $ 233 is very different than the max quote of $ 125. I feel baited and hooked because you’re left helpless and can’t do anything but agree, or you don’t get access to your home.
He had to drill into my lock, and then replace the lock. He mentioned the Mortise lock cylinder material piece was $ 65 everywhere, even if I purchased it outside; and mentioned the labor to install the new cylinder was already fixed into the drilling cost. He said the lock couldn’t be picked, but after looking online-​an experienced legitimate locksmith with experience should be able to unlock any door. Replacing a lock and drilling into it makes more money for them.
But, now looking online, prices range from $ 6, and name brand ones for $ 35 for the mortise cylinder so I have a hard time trusting that he gave me an honest price.
I gave 1 extra star because he was able to get me in.
I’ll definitely be more mindful when leaving my apartment, and to remember to bring my keys with me.

15 MINUTES SERVICE! That’s how long it took the guy to get to my apt when I called at 2AM after I got locked out. These guys are life savers and I only paid half of what I paid last time I got locked out.

Few days ago I went to visit the Bronx zoo. The trip was very fun, and I enjoyed in the zoo a lot, but unfortunately I locked my keys in the car. I call Bronx and Inwood locksmith and they showed up really quick (about 30−40min) there price was fair, and the tech (Sam) was really pleasant.

This is not a 24 hour service. I called for a locksmith, spoke to Gilad. Gilad had one of his locksmiths to call me. The locksmith called and promised that he arrive and by 7:30 he never called and he did not have the decency to call back and say he would be unable to make it. Poor and unprofessional service.

Bronx and Inwood locksmith are the best! Was moving into Bronx 10 453 and needed to have my locks change ASAP. I called them up and tom was able to meet me same day. He installed a high security deadbolt and did a great job, I’m very happy.

My sister moved to a new apartment, and I was in charge of helping her out with the move.

I went to the Bronx to the «little Italy area» to have some delicious pasta, unfortunately once we steped out of our car we forgot the keys locked inside. The first company j called couldn’t unlock my car, they said it’s a difficult make (Range Rover). I called this company as a second chance, they assured me they can help, and 1hr later my car was unlocked.

Gilad is a great locksmith. He showed up really fast, and is really good at what he does. If you have a tricky broken lock he is the one you need. He was able to get a broken key out of my mailbox and save me from having to replace a lock. I highly recommend him!
