I took my 2009 Jeep Wrangler to Chander to have my brakes checked/​replaced. They did great, fast work, and did not over charge. The last time I had work done on my brakes I (stupidly) went to the dealer and spent hundreds more.
About a week after getting my car back I noticed that the 4 wheel drive wasn’t working. I wasn’t sure if this was related to the work done on my brakes or just a coincidence because I hadn’t needed the 4 wheel drive since. I brought my Jeep back to Chander, they figured out the problem, fixed it, and charged me nothing.
Chander is it — I will never bring my car anywhere else!

I’ve used Derrick for 13 years. I’ve never had to back twice with the same problem. He has done minor fixes without charge and has always been reasonably priced. A true professional.

Drove my VW up this morning for NY State inspection. Derrick greeted me and said to bring the car right in. He is a friendly guy and we chatted a bit. He had the inspection done right then and there. The inspection revealed that I needed a new brake light bulb and he had a mechanic start working on it right away. It was all very smooth and easy. He didn’t even charge me for the light bulb. If I ever need work done on the car, I’m bringing it here.
Note on Driving there: if directions call for you to drive north on 135th street then turn left (west) on 3rd ave, make sure you make that left turn very wide and go to the far outside right lane (on the other side of a median). If not, after 1 short block you will be on the 3rd Ave bridge heading into Manhattan.
