Business Owner

At 16 years old, Christina fell in love with the old world flare Conti’s offered. The stories & history behind each cake & pastry sold were captivating. Years later, with the help of her business partners, Sal & Senada, they were able to restore the traditional 1920’s charm & recipes while incorporating present day trends like elaborate decorated cakes & cupcakes. We now have an amazing team of designers as well as traditional & new age bakers who take pride in making sure our beautifully designed desserts & cakes taste even better. Come in, sit at our original soda fountain bar & have a cup of coffee with us. By the last sip, we’ll be family!

I live in New Rochelle, NY, which is more importantly located in Westchester County. So, when I was in need for a birthday cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday, it only made sense to look into the bakeries around my neighborhood first before venturing out. It wasn’t until I started making phone calls that I realized that most bakeries in New Rochelle, or more importantly, Westchester County, quote prices that are definitely out of my income bracket. So, my next option was to check out some of the bakeries in the Bronx and to my surprise, I came across this very REASONABLE gem, Conti’s bakery. They made a beautiful angel-​themed pull apart cupcake «cake» mixed with red velvet and vanilla cupcakes within just days of finding them online. They called me when a change had to be made to my order a few days before and I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get my cake once it was ready. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ve already referred them to my family and friends who have asked me about needing a cake in the future.

What a horrible place when it comes to customer service! My best friend went out of her way to order me a cake from this bakery as a graduation/​parting gift for me moving up to an RN position because I loved her daughters Sweet 16 cake that was also purchased from them. From the first bite it was clear that the cake did not taste the same and that the frosting was not the same (the frosting was off) as everyone in my office confirmed. My friend was so disappointed she made numerous phone calls to the bakery where they asked her to return the remainder of the cake (their was an entire 2⁄3 left of the cake). Upon receipt of the cake they notified her that the only thing that they could offer her is 20% off of her next cake order (hahaha). NEXT CAKE ORDER? I’m sorry did she just pay for an entire cake which you then told her to return and your only giving a 20% discount? is that a logical amount for something she paid a good amount for? how about you refund her for the price of 2⁄3 of the cake or give her a store credit of the price of 2⁄3 of the cake? What a horrible bakery we live in White Plains, NY so not only is the bakery out of the way but you’d think for a loyal customer like my friend is to them they’d value her. I don’t recommend this bakery to anyone and will never use this bakery personally to future customers you’ve been warned! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary and Conti’s made my cake, it looked incredible and tasted delicious. A scrumptious sponge cake soaked in sherry, one layer filled with cannoli cream laced with chocolate chips and a second layer with chocolate cream and topped off with a buttercream frosting that had a hint of sherry. All I have to say, it was incredibly delicious. I told Senada (Manager/​Owner) that it should be entered into a contest. Thank you Conti’s!

This place is an absolute must! Whether you’re a Bronx resident or just a city tourist, Conti’s is the hands-​down best pastry shoppe around. While I wouldn’t necessarily suggest a trip from midtown/​downtown all the way up to Bx, Conti’s is definitely worth the stop when/​if in the area!

I would never come back to this shop. Had an issue twice my wife ordered a specific cake and her dumb ass paid before looking at the product to find out what she was told could be done. We asked for a credit and the owner came with a million and one excuses to avoid the reason. And then when we go get the trashy cakes another patron is there arguing with them cause of course they messed up on her cake. I will never put another penny in that shop. They can go to hell.

My boyfriend (grew up in NY) recently introduced me to Conti’s bakery. It was the best and worst thing he could of done. I take the 45 minute drive into New York from Jersey around the holidays because it is THE BEST BAKERY EVER! The pignoli and rainbow cookies are so fucking delicious!!! Heck, you might as well get a dozen jelly donuts for the ride home as well.

I was referred to this bakery from a close friend, who said this bakery had the bes Pizza Rustico (an Italian Easter treat). I decided to order 3 of them for a special VIP customer who frequents my restaurant. So I order them. Upon my surprise, my customer told me, he found not 1 or 2 but many egg shells in the Pizza Rustico. I called the owner of the bakery & told him who I was & that I purchased 3 Pizza Rustico & what had happened he said, «why did u wait so long to call & I don’t believe you» it was a week after Easter, my customer was away for the holiday, so I didn’t find out til after the fact! I was mortified, I asked the owner to give me my money back or make new ones. He said to have my customer call himself. This is about principle, you stand by your product! The worst customer service I ever encountered! I surely will never use their services or recommend them to anyone!

So I tried the cheese puff and it’s not a puff it’s a monster of a pastry! It has the sticky bun feel with the cream cheesy taste of a cheese danish but better. My husband couldn’t believe the size of the thing! It’s big enough for two people.

Got my best friend a cake from here for her baby gender reveal party. It was amazing! Had the Nutella filling and everyone loved it. Only reason it has a 4-​star is because they delivered it later than I asked them to so the dessert table looked empty for a while. But will definitely be back!

Worst cake ever! I am a Unilocaler so if I say it’s not good it is not. We bought my nephew’s bday cake here, it cost us 60 bucks for a cake smaller than a plate and with cracks in it, the flavor is not that even good! We felt that it was rushed, like they did it in an hour! Ill post the picture of the cake here!

Out of all the bakeries in the Morris park area, Conti’s is hands down, the best one. I stumbled in on Father’s Day once because sal and doms were sold out of the cakes I wanted. My father is a huge fan of Boston cream anything and this place had one left. Everyone in my family turned out to love it.
I recently just came back before writing this to get one more for my grandmother’s birthday along with some sugar free cookies she said she enjoyed.
In the winter time I believe, they have a Nutella hot chocolate that is perfect and not overly sweet.
Their cappuccino’s are made perfect from what I’ve had a few times so far. And the espresso is much better than Starbucks any day.
Also, each time I go in, service is quick and the girls are all very helpful and friendly.

Hands down the best hot chocolate ever. Their pastries are great, especially the cookies. I bought a few pies for the holidays as well and everyone loved them! My favorite item though, is the Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake. I bought two of them for two birthday occasions and again they were eaten down to the pan and also raved about.
I would definitely suggest going here. The staff is a bunch of young girls but they are all nice and approachable. They helped with and questions I had and gave me their opinion on certain items. I would not be able to work at a pastry shop because I would probably eat everything hahaha

Great, friendly service. I went in to order a cake for Christmas Day a week earlier. The girl who attended to me was very friendly and gave me suggestions on what I might like. I went with a 9 inch vanilla buttercream cake with cannoli filling covered with chocolates chip with Christmas designs. The cake was ready by Christmas morning. It was a beautifully decorated cake; very moist and not to sweet. This bakery does not disappoint!

Greatest bakery on Morris’s park area in the Bronx, been going there for more then 50 years, I lived on Matthews, I worked at coned van ness shops, my mom Lilian worked there too, sorry to say I moved upstate and only get to the Bronx and continue once in a while.

I have only but the best comments about Conti’s! They have the best cakes, they’re beautiful and they’re yummy. When I order their cakes, the staff is always graceful especially Gianna who I usually speak with. I ordered custom made cookies last year and they came out beautiful, this week I ordered a custom cake in the shape of a Tiffany gift box and everyone raved about how gorgeous it was. Their bakery is the cutest shoppe ever, you get the feel you’re somewhere in a quaint town in Italy. Kudos to this lovely bakery!

Lovely lovely bakery. Its amazing that I never knew this place existed. My elementary school was right across the street from this place and I lived in the Bronx for 8 years! My boyfriend and I stopped in since I was going down memory lane. We got a dulce De leche cupcake, a giant chocolate chip cookie and a layered brownie. The cupcake was great! The cake alone was well made! The giant cookie was perfectly soft and hard! Haha if tat makes any sense. And the brownie was delicious. I’m not a fan of coconut but my boyfriend loved it. Definitely try this place out! Friendly workers as well.

Ordered a cake again for my son’s 2nd birthday. The design was spot-​on! I just felt that it was a little overpriced for a 7-​inch cake. But my son loved it.
