This is probably the 2nd time I’ve been in this GameStop. And it’s the first time I met a gentleman named Swan. At least I think that was his name. Anyway I came in there with not so high expectations on solving my problem. I had lost my beta code for destiny. And that wasn’t the GameStop I preordered my game at. So I wasn’t expecting much from them. Just thought I’d ask just to see. Not only did swan somehow print up another code happily, he helped me log on to
set the account up and gain my beta code. That’s customer service right there. Thank sir. You are a scholar and a gentleman.

This gamestop is a neighborhood GameStop and one of the very few gameshops in the area. The staff is very nice they take time getting to know you and what you like when you come in. They most likely will have games that are out now but if ur looking for any type of MLG, FGC, and PC they will barely have any of that but they will recommend places in the area for extra things like that. Otherwise a nice place to check out and get your games from if ur not looking to go far.

I was really excited about picking up an original Nintendo Wii today (pre-​owned as they don’t make them anymore and I don’t want the Wii U). My Wii was stolen about a year ago when we had a breakin at our home in Washington Heights. So I finally get around to replacing it and when I got home, it was missing a remote control, the stand and the A/​V cable. Also, it was covered in so much nasty dirt and even dried cheese. So naturally I call and they say I can bring it back and exchange it for another one. I have him check the box to make sure it’s complete and he does and it is. So then I go all the way up there again and this one is missing the power cord. And now, yes, this very moment that I’m writing this, I’m waiting for him to figure out what to do, because moving the power cord from the other incomplete one they originally sold me is a no-​go.

Greatful there’s a location close by so that I don’t have to travel all across the BX just for a game. I’ll tell you what though, being well stocked in new releases and always having the game you crave when you go in to buy it really outweighs the lack of A/​C in there (Maybe it was just the time I was in there). Also, put SOME kind of music on while we wait 5 – 10 minute on line to get served. Whatever, got my game, that’s all that matters to me. :)
