Jerry’s Barber Shop

These guys are amazing! Called the shop to make a reservation for a cut but unfortunately they only do walk-​ins. Jerry and Luis are both very energetic and very friendly when you come into their shop. Once you step in they acknowledge you and talk stories with you. They aren’t those kind of guys who just sit you down and cut your hair without paying any kind of attention to you, which makes the whole experience quite boring. Their skills on cutting hair is superb. They ask you what kind of cut you want and if there might be any kind of problems with the style you want, theyll let you know right away. Overall, these guys are very cool and I only go to them to get me a fresh cut every 2 weeks or so! Check them out!!!

A little skeptical going into the place… It ended up being a good quality establishment and I received a good quality haircut.
Not to mention, Jerry is a extremely friendly and funny guy, that is very confident in his haircutting abilities.

Been going to these guys since they opened. If I ever move from the neighborhood, I’ll have to travel back just for my hair cuts. They’re really good guys, personable, friendly, and outgoing. About the only complaint I can make is that they don’t have a bar in the store.

Such a rude and arrogant staff, literally treats costumers like shit and they are terrible at cutting hair. If they were at least a little bit better at cutting hair it would be manageable to deal with such assholes but the talent is simply not there.

I moved to the area 2 – 3 months ago and needed a haircut for the first time a few weeks ago. I went to Jerry’s on the strength of its great Unilocal reviews and was very happy with that choice! I don’t usually talk to the barbers when I get my hair cut because I’m a quiet guy, but Jerry got me talking and was in general a really friendly guy and very easy to talk to.
The service was also incredibly fast — I think I was in and out in about 15 minutes, including the 2 or so minutes I waited until he was ready for me. Part of that was because he didn’t dry my hair after cutting it (i.e., didn’t use a blow dryer to get extra hair clippings off my head), but that is a trade-​off I will gladly make every time if it means speedy service, cheap price, and a friendly barber. Oh yeah, and the quality of the haircut was great! That’s really the most important thing, isn’t it?!
I’ll definitely be making Jerry’s my regular spot.

I moved into the neighborhood this past November and still found myself driving 45 minutes to get my haircut with my previous barber who was great. When I finally decided I didn’t want to make that drive anymore just for a haircut I checked out Jerry’s Barber Shop which is right around the corner from my building.
Jerry made the transition to a new barber shop a comfortable one. He gives a nice cut and is a down to earth, friendly, conversational guy. The sports memorabilia that lines the walls also made a great impression on me. As long as I live in Riverdale, Jerry has my business.

I came in for a cut, and I haven’t left. Jerry’s is very much your old school shop. He is a friendly guy, affordable and does an excellent job with cuts. I trust him with my hair.
Beyond that, it isn’t uncommon for the shop to be open during the playoffs, with a good collegial, atmosphere for neighborhood guys to enjoy the game…

I’ve been going here 9 years and have never had a bad cut. I’m an Italian from Bensonhurst, so I’m very particular about who touches my hair. Jerry and Luis are some of finest barbers I’ve ever used. They know exactly what I want and pay close attention to detail to make sure their customers are happy. The two times I strayed from them in the past 9 years I was disappointed, so as long as they’re around they’re my go-​to place for a good cut.

Top notch guys and excellent cuts. Period.
Good guys in the neighborhood, you get great conversation and a nice cut. Just what an old school barber shop should be like.
