Joan does a great job of tailoring and is very accommodating. I also get my dry cleaning done here and never had any problems. 10 dollar minimum for credit cards(she let me use it when I didn’t have cash before… so nice!)

Joan’s used to be called Cindy’s. The store was closed briefly in late 2010, renovated, and reopened with new employees. Prices are now slightly higher, but service is still friendly and the quality is still good. I’m not sure if they do dry cleaning on the premises but they do tailoring there. I am disappointed because this used to be the cheapest place in the neighborhood and now the prices are on par with others. Another disappointment is that everything is now computerized, so you are requested to give your name, address, phone number. On the first day I went to Joan’s I was feeling friendly and gave all this information. I’m not usually so willing. Then again, I don’t know why I get so weird about giving out my address to dry cleaners, since the Thai restaurant knows not only where I live but also what I digest, as well as my current medical history(high blood sodium). Who knew surrendering civil liberties could be so delicious?
