Cheap Fruits, Good variety. Cash under $ 10. Pity it isn’t closer to my place. Produce wont last long(kind of like the produce carts you find in the city) but if you’re going to freeze it or theyre thick skinned(mangoes, oranges) you should be fine Always crowded, come on off times

This is a small mom-and-pop business that my family has supported for over 10 years! Insanely inexpensive prices for fruit and vegetables, from daikon to kiwi to pineapple to persimmons to okra! There is a $ 10 debit/credit minimum but I rarely find myself going over that limit anyway because I can get my 1 – 2 weeks’ supply worth of produce within budget. I have found some realllyyyyy awesome deals. To name a few, 50 cents for a box of ORGANIC strawberries! Talk about steal! Year-round, I also see california oranges priced at 4/$ 1 and apples ranging from Fuji to Honeycrisp to Red Delicious are never over $ 1.50/lb. This place gets super packed during weeknights and weekends. I find that mornings are early afternoons are the best times to go.

This place is great. Insanely inexpensive fruits and vegetables. I go whenever I can!(it is quite crowded though and the produce will not last as long as were it from another grocery store — so buy what you are going to cook or freeze in the next day or two.)

Whenever I stop by, the place is packed full of people. I don’t mind though because i think it’s a great small-family run business. My mom has come here for the past 15 years and is a regular customer. The store has great prices and is well stocked. The aesthetics of this place, however, is not that great, a bit on the dingy side. However, most of the produce and goods are nicely stacked, which is all that matters!

This is the first time I am upset at the reviews I read here. Went yesterday 6÷16÷14 at 3pm to Lee’s. It was very crowded but the produce was HORRIBLE !!! Sure, the strawberries were $ 1 but they were full of mold. Produce did not look fresh at all! What a total disappointment. Would not recommend this place and definitely not going back.

I tend to avoid this place at all costs — unless I’m helping my grandma with her bags, in which case I will just stand outside the store while she picks out the finest apples and tomatoes. While I do agree they have good prices, I cannot get over how crowded this place always is! The lines are never shorter than 5 people and the space is cramped enough as it is. Enter at your own risk.

I really appreciate the reviews of the other Unilocalers in helping me find Lee’s. The parking is horrendous, but you can’t beat the prices for produce! I like to eat healthy, but I think twice about buying vegetables and fruit when the prices get to be too high. Many of the supermarkets are charging ridiculous prices for veggies and fruit. Forget about Whole Foods. I picked up a broccoli for $ 2 so I thought. It turn out to be $ 7($ 2/lb). No thank you. At these prices, I can buy more veggies and fruit and eat healthier. Everything I got at Lee’s was very fresh. It is not gourmet, but they had a very good variety of fruits and vegetables. Everything looks fresh. When I first drove by, I could see that this was the place because there were a lot of people. They turnover a lot of produce, so it does not look picked over or like it has been sitting around too long. My finds: Green Grapes were $.79/lb. A few varieties of apples were less than $ 1.00 a pound. Most of the items I bought were around $ 1.00 a pound including red peppers. The only item I paid $ 1.99/lb for was the long thin eggplants, which is more specialty. I got grapefruit 3/$ 1.00 and oranges, the size of grapefruit 2/$ 1.00. I walked out with(2) shopping bags stuffed for $ 14. There were(2) lines for(2) cash registers, but they moved quickly.

I feel I am so lucky this market is around the corner from me. There are always great bargains. Just last week(dead of winter) there were Strawberries @ a dollar a pound box. Blackberries a dollar a pint. A few weeks ago there were pints of ORGANIC raspberries at, yes one dollar! While other places were charging over a buck and a half for apples this summer through the fall, Lee’s had a variety of great apples under a dollar. The produce is always great and there are always BARGAINS. So you see I decide what I will eat AFTER visiting Lee’s and save a lot on GREAT produce. MAN O MAN I just had to update to-day 6÷3÷09. Yesterday made my daily to Lee’s and there it was the best deal since Pomegranates were on sale for two for a dollar– PINTS of Organic Driscoll Red Raspberries 2 pints a dollar– ALSO Gold Raspberries(not organic) Driscoll 2 pints a dollar!!! I LOVETHISPLACE!!!
