History
Established in 1998.
Fred Rivera worked for several years as a Xerox Technician, establishing himself very early as an excellent problem solver. In 1998 he began Manhattan Solutions, hired and trained several technicians and contracted most of his work out to Xerox. His office suffered major damage as a result of the terrorist attach on the World Trade Center on 9/11, and about the same time Xerox stopped outsourcing their repair service. Since then Manhattan Solutions has been providing repair service for all major brands of copiers, printers, and computers. Last year they added supply sales as an extra value to their customers.

Business Owner
As a young man Fred assisted his father in several businesses. His first job was working at a TV repair shop. With a love for cars and inherent problem solving skills, he taught himself auto mechanics. He worked for several years as a maintenance engineer for a church in Manhattan. After a series of part time work, he started working for the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association as a driver. He heard about entry level opportunities at Xerox from a technician. He applied and after passing the entrance exam began his career as a Copier technician. In 1998 he started this business as an independent contractor for Xerox, and later expanded into offering services directly to consumers.
