The best place to have a pizza when you’re in gun hill road. The place is small but it’s very busy so there must be a reason for it. It’s because they serve you good tasting pizza,.The chicken wings are a bit greasy though. Would go back for more if given the chance to be in the area again ;)

We were staying at the Montefiore Children’s Hospital. Our daughter is a picky eater so we ordered some pizza and mozzarella sticks. It was clean, huge slices, very good and very affordable. Definitely a great option for the nights the hospital food isn’t cutting it.

Great NY style pizza, so many different options. The chicken parm hero is great. And now with a Dept of Health A grading!

I eat there quite often love everything that I’ve purchased, my favorite is the eggplant — veal cutlet parmigiana hero with extra cheese. Oh the ziti is amazing also

I was born and raised in this neighborhood and I’ve been going to this pizza shop since it was Joe, Tony, and Louie. Joe and Tony sold it to new owners who revamped the décor, that’s nice. That’s about the only improvement and not really because it was cozier before. I ordered a medium pie with chicken, onions, and tomatoes off of GrubHub from them. When I got it, it was only chicken. I called and they told me that it only says chicken so to take it up with GrubHub. I called GrubHub and apparently there’s a menu glitch because when you make the selection on the website it says onions and tomatoes but when it prints on their end, it only shows the chicken. GrubHub called them to see if they could rectify the situation and when GrubHub called me back they said they spoke to someone who was rude and belligerent and basically said tough, I(the customer) have to deal with it. They don’t know me so of course I was in that pizzeria less than ten minutes later and they said of course they would make me a pizza as a courtesy. If you were doing it as a courtesy why did I have to come down here and get in your face about it? Why couldn’t you do that when I called you the first time? Or when GrubHub called you? Also, I paid tip AND a delivery fee so I paid four dollars more than I should have because I had to come down and get it myself anyway! The apology was lackluster and completely insincere and to top it off, when I got home that pie was DRIPPING grease. It leaked THROUGH the box and left a huge square of thick grease on my table. UNREAL. Their pizza is NOT the best in the neighborhood but it’s convenient to the immediate area. I would rather go the extra block to Mario’s now instead of dealing with this ridiculousness again.

First time ordering, guy said 30 mins for a large cheese pie cool, 40 mins later calls and ask what entrance am I at Montie hospital, 1hr later says I’m down stairs, I go down stairs and the guy is 5 block across on a different street, he final shows and my pizza is cold and soggy worst delivery system I know

I’ve been eating at this place for close to 20 years. I started eating pizza here back when a slice used to cost $ 1.25 and I still eat here to this day. The management has changed — the owner used to be this big guy with a moustache and it’s now a few other guys who put together as some weird multi-limbed creature with multiple heads still probably wouldn’t weigh as much as him. I report the FACTS. To be honest, the service has gotten better but the product hasn’t changed. Which is a good thing and keeps me eating here. It’s STILL home to some of the Bronx’s best pizza, it IS home to the world’s best eggplant parmigian heros(add some of their hot sauce and you’re in heaven), and it HAS the best pizzeria aquarium that money can buy. Oh yeah, and delivery’s quick as hell so don’t be cheap and tip little or forget to tip altogether. I try to leave ‘em with a quick Benji everytime I ask for delivery.

Everyone raves about the pizza here and honestly, I’m entirely underwhelmed by it. All of the other food I’ve had here– ziti, chicken parm, ravioli, mozzarella sticks, beef patties, fries, chicken tenders, calzones, etc.- excellent. I’ve tried the pizza twice, maybe it was off those two days? I highly recommended pretty much anything else here. Also, the staff is all very nice and friendly, and the delivery time is usually pretty fast. That pizza though, that’s the only reason this is four stars and not five.

My aunt and I frequently order the chicken wings with fries from Marconi’s. They are really good. The dipping sauces are great as well.

I used to eat here all the time back in the 90’s. It used to be awesome. Its under the same owner as I remember(nice guy). But they seem to be using cheaper ingredients. It is a real shame.

This place is solid for all your carryout Italian food needs. I always get the chicken parmesan hero. I think why I like this place better than the other local places is the slush puppy machine. Such a throwback to childhood. Also the guys are so friendly, delivery is fast(to be fair I’m across the street), and it’s cheap. Three years and no issues with them.

(Check-In: First slice of NY Pizza Pie! The NY Italian accent makes it all the more authentic.) This place is very friendly, delicious, and right across the street from the friend’s apartment that I was crashing at for the week. Ate here three times that week! I even got asked for a photo op with the owners, posted as being a California Greek and getting my NY Italian fix, haha. The pizza, excellent! Fresh!

Good place to get pizza in the nabe’! The pies are huge, fresh, and, if you order a pie for delivery, pie comes in a box printed for a Brooklyn pizzeria. Delivery person confessed that they buy printed boxes that are returned because of misprintings and pass the savings onto their customers!

Just ordered takeout from there and it was dreadful… had a sicillian with pepperoni and couldn’t even finish it. The cheese was tasteless and gelatinous! I was extremely dissatisfied considering how much I love their wings, but sadly their pizza was just downright inedible! Updated Review Since they’re under new management, I gotta say the food is much better… I’m assuming they are using better quality ingredients and have different staff because they food is yummy! The pizza and pasta dishes are their speciality and the prices are very affordable for the portions you get.

I’ve been coming here for years. Marconi’s is good and most importantly, clean! The owner is always there so he make sure customers are getting good food. They have a lot of customers ranging from locals from the neighborhood, from docs from Montefiore. It gets packed for a reason.
